Veditz and Company Brewing Brewery • $
7G River Ln, Sperryville

“A wonderful spot next door to Copper Fox Distillery. I had never gone to Pen Druid, which I understand moved to a new location just outside Sperryville town limits. This brewery is rather ramshackle and I love that type of feel in a brewery (and winery). I tried the IPAs and they were all terrific, and a bit different from each other. One of them even had a back taste of pineapple.
The owner/brewer is deaf and extremely generous and gracious. Their logo is amusing. A definite must-visit if you're in the area to hike or bike.“

Made To Order Kombucha Sperryville Brewery •

“This place is such a gem outside of the town of Sperryville! We have visited twice and it will not be our last! A wonderful selection of apples in bins at a great price! We have also purchased fresh from slaughter chicken and frozen homemade biscuits. Both were absolutely amazing! Homemade pies, jams, cider, and almost anything else you can think of can be had here! Bring cash - no cards accepted!“

Pen Druid Brewing Brewery • $
3863 Sperryville Pike, Sperryville

“Very interesting place. I had not visited them in their old location (where Veditz Brewery is currently residing). The beers are not the typical ones found at other breweries - they're all Ales. The closest thing to an IPA had 9.5% ABV and since I was driving, I passed on that. The Blonde Ale suited me and was similar to an Italian Pilsner (a REAL Italian Pilsner, not Peroni). They also have hard cider and wines (not from Virginia wineries, though). Pretty much something for everyone. A lot of land to stretch out - cornhole and some interesting geological formations jutting out from below. There is a food truck during the weekends that has a very eclectic farm to table menu. Although there is no playground on the premises, the place is a good option for kids because they can really run around. Dogs welcome but not inside the brewery itself. Sperryville now has 3 breweries and all three of them have interesting and unique vibes.“
