“The weather was extremely nice on my birthday, so I decided to ride my motorcycle down from DC to enjoy it. I ended up in the area and decided to stop in for lunch before my ride back. The interior boasts a lot of warm wood, big booths, and a gorgeous center bar. The staff were very friendly and immediately seated me. My server was very kind and attentive, but not overbearing. He made a few different recommendations, including the corned beef sandwich, which I ordered. It was excellent. Lots of sauerkraut, plenty of corned beef, and perfectly toasted rye bread. My only recommendation would be to cut the sandwich diagonally as pictured in the menu because we all know sandwiches taste better when cut diagonally When the server learned it was my birthday, he generously offered a dessert and even put a candle in it for me. Needless to say, it was a lovely, spontaneous lunch that I would soon repeat. Highly recommend.“
“This was a fantastic pitstop for us on a long drive. Pretty close off the highway. Really creative and delicious menu with lots of options. The service is excellent and food quick. My wife and I had curried deviled eggs (amazing). Sweet potato tater tots cooked to perfection. I also had the keto breakfast with guacamole, keto toast, scrambled eggs with homemade pimento cheese. Yum. Lord have mercy everything was A plus. This is definitely gone on our list of restaurants we pass through again.“
“We were looking for a great cheese steak sub in the Fredericksburg area and Doc Rocco's did not disappoint. The 7 inch cheese steak was more than enough with plenty of meat. I took off one star because they lack fountain drinks. The inside dining area is quite small so the take out option might be better. But the food is certainly worth the visit.“
“I have been here a couple times now, once for breakfast and once for lunch:Breakfast is cracking, both the food and drink options are lovely and varied, good American Style comfort diner food with some twists and turns. My wife and I both really enjoyed what we had and both agreed we would return.I popped in for lunch on my own a few days ago, and honestly it was lacking… it wasn’t bad it was just underwhelming and nothing to write to your mother about. That being said, I’ll still go back and this will be a breakfast spot for us, as there is so much more on the brekkie menu I want to try!Side note though, the staff are lovely, so if you want to feel taken care of, this is a good spot.“
“I go here all the time and always love going. it is such a lively place, and the waiters are always very nice. the food is always amazing and ones they did mess up my order, but it was a bigger and better burger and even though it was more expensive they still charged the price of the first burger.“
“Best bakery in town! Delicious croissants and sandwiches made with croissants. Wonderful quiches, Baklava, and Thai tea are some of my favorites. Look for a little garden tucked behind Hyperion Cafe on Princess Anne Street, with a few tables outside and inside. Best secret in the Burg.“
“First, let me say this restaurant is exceptionally clean and I love the decor. The employees were very friendly and professional. The food was fresh and delicious. The shrimp are big and cooked perfectly. The collards were seasoned well. The Mac n Cheese and yams were okay. The piece of croaker fish was huge and good. I highly recommend this spot. It's a must try!!!“
“Thanks Adrian for helping me get a nice set of paired options ofr our team to enjoy their PB&J bar as a treat at the end of a long week this week! Pleasantly surprised by the Sweet Thai Chili peanut butter. Always love to support other family owned smalle, local businesses too! Check them out!“
“This is my favorite breakfast spot. Food is absolutely delicious and great quality. Atmosphere is lovely and unique. Staff is friendly and accommodating. The only negative thing is the alcoholic beverages are expensive. A coffee with Baileys costed me around $15“
“Went here for a birthday breakfast. Never been here before but felt like family. The food is the best I've ever had in any diner (& I'm old so I've been to many LOL). The bacon was so crisp & the home fries were made to perfection. When I went to pay, I was told somebody picked up our tab & said happy birthday. I was shocked. She said it happens often there. If I lived closer, I'd go there at least once a week.I'm looking forward to going back.“
“This place I just can't... I mean, this was the absolutely BEST food experience I have had to date!! I booked reservations for my boyfriend's birthday because we enjoy food and wine pairings and I had found this place on the internet and thought it was right up his ally. The ambiance is clean and modern. The food is off the chart. And the service was okay... with the most cordial person being the chef who brought one of our meals out and chatted with us a bit. I would normally enter in to a long drawn out review here, but I am reading others' and they say it best. I will say that the Salmon and Ginger was actually one of the best morsels of food I have ever put in my mouth! And I despise Salmon. LOL“
“We went out for dinner on a Saturday night. I ordered a sandwich and onion rings and my husband ordered a country fried steak and coleslaw. They accidentally overcooked his steak so they redid it. I wish they had offered him a free dessert for his wait. But the food was tasty and we enjoyed listening to live music.Parking: It was crowded and we got the last spot in their lot.“
“We have eaten at Cracker Barrel many times. We can always rely on the food and service to be very consistent. Tonight the food was great and the service was exceptional! Our server Saturn timed the food delivery perfectly from appetizer to the main Course and was most courteous.“
“This has become a go to lunch spot when I am in the area for business. We are always met with a smile and shown promptly to our table. The menu has a good selection for lunch to fit a variety of different diets. To date there hasn't been one thing here I have not liked. The Truffle Fries are definitely one of my favorite appetizers. If your looking for a great lunch or dinner spot then definitely swing by and check this place out.“
“This is the spot! I’m not from the area but ended up finding this gem when I was in the area for work. Not only is the food amazing but so is the staff, absolute service with a smile. I appreciate all food that’s made with love and passion and I was not disappointed with J’Angelas. All of then food was so flavorful and delicious, but I think my favorite were the custard filled plantain desert empanadas ??“
“We have visited a few times and Traci H is the best! Great Service and amazing food at a great price. Glad to be back in Fredericksburg after being gone for a few years. This place will not disappoint. 5 plus star all the way around…Barely soup is the best and the wings are crispy and juicy:) Thanks again for wonderful breakfast/Lunch“
“Fantastic place, well before the main FBurg area. Wings were really good. Jerk rubwas not crazy, just enough to taste good and be different. Poboy was as poboy's are. Simple, delicious. Onions rings were a good choice. Will go back, highly recommended.“
“First time in town. Relied on Google to find a good place to eat. This place had a rating over 4 out of 5. I definitely will give this place rating of 5 to anyone wanting to gettway to Fredericksburg. Delicious food and pleasant atmosphere, and great service! Definitely will eat there again next time I'm in town.“
“What a great place for nostalgia ... love the retro look with comfort snacks that bring back memories - tots, fries, onion rings, shakes, and root beer floats tasted delicious as we watched the planes land and take off Friendly service added to the great experience. Fun place to take the grand kids!“
“Update from a month agoUnfortunately, just like so many other places, there is a lack of consistency when it comes to quality of food, specifically for phone, take out ordersI have ordered this item a couple of times and each time the quality of the food served was less than I expected. The last time the chorizo was greasy, some of the potatoes were cold/hard and shortly after eating this, it upset my stomach; probably the grease.I was not going to return, but decided to try the vegetarian version. Instead of egg whites, the cook decided to do a fried egg. I was not in the mood for sending food back or having to wait for my order to be prepared correctly. This is why I expect my order to be repeated back to me, of which it was, yet my order was still not prepared correctly. My egg whites are always scrambled and there was yellow in the egg indicating that there was yoke and not egg whites.?This lack of consistency eliminates my desire to patronize this establishment...at least for phone, take out orders. ?Initial reviewWas looking for a good brunch with good reviews. This place appeared to be worth a try. Glad that I tried it.?Only street parking available, but able to find parking directly across the street. Unfortunately, only steps and no ramp available to enter. ? Also, the door is very heavy and as soon as you push the door to come in, there is very little room to stand while wanting to be seated because not that big; the door is very heavy to pull to exit. ?Ordered the chorizo hash and dark cocoa biscuit. The chorizo hash was a pleasant suprise and a healthy serving size. Looking forward to ordering that dish again. Would definitely recommend.Did not know what to expect for the biscuit. It was a bit dry, too thick and a little hard on the outside. It was edible, but I was not impressed...$4 for 1 biscuit is ridiculous. ?“
“Had a great experience thanks to our server Chris he was super polite and extremely knowledgeable about the beers and others around the area he gave great recommendations for or food and was very nice. Highly recommend eating here and having Chris be your server. Thanks Chris!“
“Went out for an unplanned dinner with my wife! I had the ribeye and she had the burger! Everything was delicious as usual, service was wonderful and the martini was great! We don't get the longhorn as often as we should, but that will be changing in the future!“
“Best Rueben sandwich around! Always had good food and service for the 10 years I've been going. Their beer selection is beyond reproach as they recently had Franziskaner on tap. Weekend brunch can't be beat but you will need a reservation.“
“Such a cute restaurant! Service was amazing, food was delicious and they were very accommodating with the changes I made to my omelette (I have dietary restrictions) They took us in with no wait for a 10 top and everything came out at the same time, super impressed. Great local business!!“
“We stopped in for lunch, and the food was delicious! In particular, the fried chicken sandwich. One of the best I've ever tasted. Elmon, our server, was very attentive. But, the prices are what are leading me to leave this review. No greedflation at Cheddar's. At least, not during the lunch hour. It was such a huge relief and surprise to pay what the food should be priced at. No price gouging. We will be back. And soon!“
“Went to Casey's last week for dinner. I made a reservation for 6pm but definitely didn't need it. It was pretty empty the entire time we were there, but Cheeky's which is attached to it had a steady stream of people. I pee a lot and kept looking in there as I went by. Haha. The music from Cheeky's could easily be heard in Casey's which was kind of weird. This is definitely an upper scale place, and just found it weird. The food though.... Was amazing. We were there during happy hour time so most apps were half off and our teas were $2. I hate paying a ton for iced tea, and was happy to see the cheap price. We ordered 4 different appetizers because why not? The cauliflower, brussel sprouts, artichoke and duck wings. Everything was really good and had interesting textures and flavors. Definitely upscale appetizers. None of us really liked the artichoke appetizer but it was very pretty looking. Haha. For dinner we had a Cesar salad with chicken and salmon, short rib pasta (lots of ingredients that worked together but was somewhat bland. I was expecting the short rib to be on top with sauce on it, but it was just mixed in together. Personal preference but I wouldn't order it again.), and steak. I think the steak was the winner of the night. Our total was about $40 per person - splitting the 4 appetizers 3 ways, tea and dinner. Not bad at all for the quality of food.I think this isn't an everyday place, but definitely would consider it for a date night out or special occasion. Or maybe a happy hour place. The fancy appetizers for $6 each is well worth a visit.“
“Was hoping to get food when I got here at 945 seeing they close at midnight…they closed their kitchen at 915 and based on bartender just depends on how night is going if they keep kitchen open. Looks like great spot but was disappointed by unpredictability of kitchen hours seeing as they have the bar open til midnight. Bar staff were great but I got a food menu with a QR code for on taps which just rubbed it in lol ? hoping to give them another shot!“
“Mushroom burger and garden salad was excellent. Quesadilla was made well too. Place is affordable and great customer service. I would highly recommend this establishment. Unfortunately, I was visiting from out of town and can’t come as often as I would like.“
“Pretty good grilled cheese sandwich with a twist. You'll have to order alcohol or drinks from the bar, staff only delivers food to the table after you order at the counter. The bar was oddly busy even in the middle of the week, which meant I had to wait a surprising amount of time to order. It was understandable with just one bartender, but it caught me off guard.“
“Cute place, everyone very friendly!Went for Trivia on Sunday evening, was a fun night.Only vegetarian option was Impossible Burger, which I hate, but was able to get Mac and cheese and fries which were both very good.Rest of family enjoyed their meals, especially the fried Brussels sprouts. Our really nice waitress has a drink on the menu called a Billie Bomb which my nephew liked and got two of, so definitely order a Billie Bomb! ?Vegetarian options: Only Mac and cheese, Impossible Burger, fries. Very limited, but Mac and cheese was very good.Kid-friendliness: They have a kids menuWheelchair accessibility: No wheelchair accessibility that I saw, there are steps to get in.“
“Amazing whole in the wall with the most perfect breakfast you could ask for. We’ve come here on numerous occasions to start our day and they deliver each and every time! Don’t miss it, it’s just another example of how amazing Fredericksburg is!“
“Great restaurant. Recommend this place. Very good food and decent prices. Went in during happy hour so splurged and sampled many menu items. Tried the spicy cheese curds. I really liked them. Didn’t find them to be spicy. Tried the fried pickles and they were good. Really liked the accompanying sauce. Pickles were nice and crisp too. Had the prairie fire burger with bison meat. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Left very full and satisfied.I always drive by and looked at the exterior and knew I wanted to try this place. Finally did and am so glad. Will definitely be back.“
“A great local business serving outstanding food - they serve Boar’s head so you immediately know you’re getting quality, then they add their unique twists like soups and - my favorite - the beef bologna with slaw. There’s just nothing like it and if you’ve had one, you know what I mean. If you haven’t, go ahead and ride on over to Mary Washington and grab one. It’s ridiculously good. Good conversation and a great choice of music too!“
“We were early for our reservation. ( i-95 is unpredictable) Seated promptly. Drinks, on point. Appetizers were yum. We especially enjoyed the fried green tomatoes. Great balance. Mains were good. We had pork chop with green beans and fingerling potatoes....the pork chop was definitely a win. Flavor and cooked perfectly, the green beans cooked and seasoned well, but not particularly special. The potatoes were underseasoned, and could've been more crispy. The crab cakes were awesome. Clearly almost no filler! Garlic mash was good, but not outstanding. Creamed spinach was rich as six foot....balanced with the garlic. Overall, yes, we will be back. Amazing service and attention. Don't show without a reservation, and, as clearly stated on the door, no one under 18 yrs of age. Don't show up with an infant carrier.“
“The food was surprisingly good. I’ve never been to one, but it exceeded my expectations. One thing I do admire is the staff. The staff here was 10/10. They deserve raises all around or appreciation because they went above and beyond. Not only did they provide excellent service.. They actively cleaned and the establishment atmosphere was very friendly. I would definitely come back and order different things“
“Tito's is always fantastic and their pricing is so reasonable compared to a lot of places. Staff is always friendly, and service is quick. They've got a large menu with a lot of options to choose from! They do get busy though, and you may have to wait, but it's well worth itVegetarian options: There are options on the menu that would suit vegetarians, these options are not denoted by a specific symbol or in a specific section, but the menu describes the items included with each option so you can see what's there. Staff are usually willing to make reasonable changes to accommodate.Vegan options may be more difficult or potentially not a possibility here.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options are available here and are clearly noted. Keep in mind that cross-contamination is always a possibility.Parking: Plenty of parking spots directly attached to the building, and plenty more within just a few steps of the building. Parking is somewhat shared with the nearby Starbucks, but otherwise the parking lot is entirely theirs.Wheelchair accessibility: This building is wheelchair accessible although the front doors are not automatic and do not have a push button door opener.“
“We've been here a few times and the food is really good. The place is a bit dated and in need of a refresh or good old fasion cleaning. The service is great and prices are fair. Really enjoyed the white cheese pizza, burgers, and pasta dishes. We had the fish n chips as well and it was really good.“
“The "Foode" here was great. But the wait for a table (told 20 minutes, was more than 45) was not so great. We finally acquiesced to sitting outside, th ough my elderly sister didn't want to because it was windy. When we saw a table for 2 in the sun and asked to sit there and not inside (which was still not open). We had to grab a seat from another open table as there were 3 of us. Once settled, the food was fabulous and the server, Ashley, was adorable. One sister had the ham and cheddar omelet (though it ended up arriving with bacon instead, she accepted it anyway) with home fries; my other sister and I both chose the fried chicken sandwiches with french fries and truffles/Asiago (her) and potato salad (me, I didn't like that the potatoes were barely done, with a slight crunch in them, want them all the way boiled). So would we come again, No. I don't believe so. I'm glad they are so busy that it's hard to find seats. But it's a small venue and maybe they didn't have enough staff that day. But there are other places in the historic district.“
“Curitiba Art Cafe is my favorite coffee shop in Fredricksburg Va. They serve good coffee and after a certain time they sell alcohol, which is cool. If you ever visit the “burg” as they say check this place out great everything. Just don’t go there before 9am because you will be waiting outside lol!“
“Dive bar in a strip mall with pool tables and gambling machines and good happy hour specials. We had drinks, 3 appetizers and played some pool. We were there bt 6ish & 8.. Service was good . It has the atmosphere of a locals bar but also welcoming ,, maybe cop/military/western themed with pool and gambling? The Theme is not solidified! There are several lists of rules on the door, suggesting they probably need several lists of rules on the door! ? it was fine.“
“3/22/24 around 3:30 So it was my first time going since they opened and it did not disappoint the food was good I think that's the first time I looked at a menu and had a difficulty deciding what I wanted because everything looked good. The customer service was great.Parking: The parking will definitely be tight if their busy, but if it's a calm time, the parking is fine.“
“I've been a customer here since my high school senior dinner. Then my wedding rehearsal dinner was here. Now my husband are regulars for lunch or brunch. For lunch it's always a crab cake sandwich. For brunch crab cake Benedict. Perfection every time! Food and service has never let us down. A must if you're in the area!“
“Got a chance to have lunch here today. Definitely a great place to have a quiet, quick bite. Priced right, fast, fresh, and friendly I will definitely make it a point to stop here for General Tso the next time I am in the areaKid-friendliness: They really seem like they could be friendly to kids“
“Golden Corral always has the best food, great selection and reasonable prices! I enjoy going here, every time I go!Vegetarian options: They have an excellent selection of vegetables!Parking: Plenty of spots!Kid-friendliness: It offers a variety of options for children.“
“I just stopped in for some food to go ... ended up sitting at the bar and having a drink while I waited. The atmosphere was nice the girls behind the bar were great, had a couple interesting conversations and was smiling on my way out....got home and ate my Philly, which was on special tonight, it was banging... I enjoyed myself I'll be back “
“We have been going to cracker barrel for the last 10 years since our grandson was one. It was always a place we went to when went to visit Michael. Such beautiful memories made. We would start by sitting outside playing checkers then visiting the store and picking out two toys and then of course eating. My husband and I visited Cracker Barrel yesterday for a wonderful meal and of course some shopping. It is truly my favorite place to eat and show“
“My wife and I demolished the fish platter. We shared one platter because we thought we weren't that hungry, but once we started eating, I feel like we should have gotten two separate platters. The Mac and cheese is so good, seasoned and cheesy, noodles at perfect texture. The greens were also very well seasoned and balanced flavor. And the fish tasted fresh and so friggin good. So happy I stopped here and will definitely be going back, often. The staff was very welcoming and included the utensils and sauces without asking. Such a good meal, Thank you!“
“My first time here! Excellent food‼️ Good prices too. My Cobb salad was HUGE and $13 BUT they have a lunch special with grilled chicken for $12 ?Cream of crab soup with garlic bread $7 House salad was $10.99 AND THE HAVE 10% MILITARY DISCOUNT ❤️Dorissa was an amazing server‼️“
“My first time at waffle house was a success ? . The service was quick and got my food fairly quickly. The only gripe was I didn't get my "smothered and covered " part to my food. Other than that we were in and out and experienced the typical diner experience.“
“Ate here last weekend. Liked it so much, we went back today (it’s about a 50 minute drive for us). The employees we’ve talked to are all pleasant and helpful. The food is delicious! I recommend the Pesto Tortellini with chicken. The garlic Parmesan fries were very good too and I don’t eat fries unless they’re worth it. Can’t go wrong with dessert either. The selection of homemade desserts is out of this world. I recommend the cheesecake (so creamy) and lemon cake. My husband had two of the chocolate dessert between the two weekends and really liked both. Last weekend my dad had coconut cake and Mom tiramisu. Everyone was happy, as well as our palettes. Must try!“
