“This was our second time visiting this establishment and it was just as beautiful as the first. Winery on one of the building and brewery on the other provides and abundance of choices. The farmyard atmosphere is wonderful with chickens and peacocks roaming about freely. Lots of shade and tucked away places for you to sit and sip.

We'll definitely be back again.“

Such a great vibe had dinner at Firebirds the night before totally underwhelming the bartenders at Park Lane worked in unison and absolutely friendly and engaging with the customers. “This place is literally my favorite Mexican restaurant on the planet. I grew up going here for special occasions; in high school I went multiple times a month with friends; as a college student, I look forward to coming home and visiting here. Friendly staff, AMAZING food, and really low prices. Could not recommend more.“

“We recently hosted my dad’s 60th birthday party here with a group of over 30 people. Hosting a large party can be challenging but the staff handled it flawlessly.

Our server, Jeffrey, was exceptional. He went above and beyond to make sure everyone was taken care of! Jeffrey was friendly, attentive and his great service truly made the celebration even more special.

The food came out surprisingly fast, especially for such a large group and every dish was hot, fresh, and absolutely delicious. You could really taste the quality and authenticity in every meal.

“A last minute early dinner invitation and we decided on Harry's Ale House at Harrison Crossing. We arrived at 5 pm. About 75%of the tables were full. Not bad for a Saturday. Michele was our waitstaff and she was very polite, attentive, and patient. My dinner companion and I were so busy talking, we didn't look at the menu and she was kind enough to keep checking on us. Thank you Michele for your patience. I ordered the steak salad and my companion ordered the salmon. The meals came out in a timely fashion as we had enough time for a cocktail but didn't wait beyond that. My companion's salmon dinner was quite good. I ordered my steak medium. It came out med-rare which is actually how I like it. My only comment is the steak was tough to chew although it was cooked nicely. I suggest slicing the steak into thinner slices and that will remove the toughness.We had a pleasant evening. The atmosphere was lively but not so loud I couldn't comfortably carry on a conversation. I have eaten at Harry's several times but usually carry out on my way home (also a good option).“

“Food is great and wait staff is awesome. Not large party friendly. Had a party of 10 and was told we could only be seen if we were all on one check. We were coming from church and the party consisted of 5 couples. We had been there before with no issues getting separate checks. Was told it was a weekend policy implemented 3 months ago. We have been there within the last month and was not told this. No bad experiences prior. Assuming the manager just did not want to accommodate us.“

“I had to go on the Med diet and was restricted to what I could eat. So I googled best Greek restaurant in Fredericksburg, VA and Parthenon came up. So we tried it. Google got this one right. The food is excellent. All homemade. I always get the Greek salad large with gyro meat. It is so good . We got the pizza there just today and it was just wonderful. The folks that run it are so friendly and make you feel at home and the store is just a trip back to the 1980s. So to all our Colonial Beach friends if you want good fresh homemade healthy food, the next trip to the doctor at MWH, go up the hill to the old Park and Shop. The Parthenon is located near the car wash and Allmans. You won’t be disappointed, ever.“

Not sure how other customers feel, the heavy duty napkins are nice but we like the napkin dispenser on the table, that way we have the amount of napkins we need to keep our hands clean eating their nice big bar-b-cue sandwich?; 2. it also would help if you used a duplicate order pads (one copy at the cash register and one for the customer so the server can bring the check to the customer so they can see what they owe ahead of time and also makes the customer aware the servers shift might be ending ..r know the servers can see what they owe before they get to the register, it also would help the customer know the server’s shift is almost over. From the moment we started planning through supporting “day-of-event” needs - Lauren, Josh and his team were incredibly accommodating — attentive, flexible, and genuinely invested in making the event special. The space itself was a great surprise; warm, well-designed, and perfect for a private gathering without feeling stuffy.

The beer selection is extensive and varied enough to satisfy every palate in the group — from hop-forward IPAs to more approachable options for the casual beer drinker. And then there’s the Twisted Roots Spiked Root Beer Hard Seltzer — dangerously good. The kind of drink that goes down so smoothly you have to remind yourself it’s not actually root beer. Consider yourself warned.

What really sealed it was learning about their regular events — silent disco, trivia nights, karaoke — this is clearly a place that knows how to bring people together beyond just the pour.
