“This was our second time visiting this establishment and it was just as beautiful as the first. Winery on one of the building and brewery on the other provides and abundance of choices. The farmyard atmosphere is wonderful with chickens and peacocks roaming about freely. Lots of shade and tucked away places for you to sit and sip.

“I'm from Brooklyn so I have to say it's definitely Virginia Pizza. But it's a mom and pop shop. I'm all about supporting the little guy. I've gotten food from there on multiple occasions. I love the sandwich selections. I really love the people. The set up inside the store allows you to eat in but the take out is the way to go.“

“I don't have the ability to write in words how much I enjoyed this restaurant. It was absolutely spectacular. I think they were the best tacos I have had in my life. My wife and I ordered a wide variety of their tacos and every one of them was unique and flavorful. They were also stuffed with meat. But here is the kicker, they were ridiculously inexpensive. We ordered 7 tacos, Mexican corn, and two sodas. It was under $50 including the tax, drinks, and tip. Ordering was a bit complex at first, but the cashier happily walked you through it. The various salsa options where flavorful, with even the mild throwing off some heat. I also love the vibe of the place. You are getting 5 star food in a place that doesn't feel arrogant and stuffy. I can say without a doubt that this was one of the best restaurants that I have visited.“

Such a great vibe had dinner at Firebirds the night before totally underwhelming the bartenders at Park Lane worked in unison and absolutely friendly and engaging with the customers. Those three should actually own the bar. I will definitely be back next time. I travel to Fredericksburg.“

I grew up going here for special occasions; in high school I went multiple times a month with friends; as a college student, I look forward to coming home and visiting here. “Food is great and wait staff is awesome. Not large party friendly. Had a party of 10 and was told we could only be seen if we were all on one check. We were coming from church and the party consisted of 5 couples. We had been there before with no issues getting separate checks. Was told it was a weekend policy implemented 3 months ago. We have been there within the last month and was not told this. No bad experiences prior. Assuming the manager just did not want to accommodate us.“

“We had the Fredericksburg location deliver to our wedding reception which was an hour away. A young lady delivered by herself and her service was outstanding. We ordered the brisket, smoked chicken, mac n cheese, and green beans. The food was more than we needed for 100 people and all of it was so delicious. “I had to go on the Med diet and was restricted to what I could eat. So I googled best Greek restaurant in Fredericksburg, VA and Parthenon came up. So we tried it. Google got this one right. The food is excellent. All homemade. I always get the Greek salad large with gyro meat. It is so good . We got the pizza there just today and it was just wonderful. The folks that run it are so friendly and make you feel at home and the store is just a trip back to the 1980s. So to all our Colonial Beach friends if you want good fresh homemade healthy food, the next trip to the doctor at MWH, go up the hill to the old Park and Shop. The Parthenon is located near the car wash and Allmans. You won’t be disappointed, ever.“

Not sure how other customers feel, the heavy duty napkins are nice but we like the napkin dispenser on the table, that way we have the amount of napkins we need to keep our hands clean eating their nice big bar-b-cue sandwich?; 2. it also would help if you used a duplicate order pads (one copy at the cash register and one for the customer so the server can bring the check to the customer so they can see what they owe ahead of time and also makes the customer aware the servers shift might be ending ..r know the servers can see what they owe before they get to the register, it also would help the customer know the server’s shift is almost over. “We hosted my daughter Bryanna’s baby shower at Strangeways and couldn’t have been more pleased with how the day came together. From the moment we started planning through supporting “day-of-event” needs - Lauren, Josh and his team were incredibly accommodating — attentive, flexible, and genuinely invested in making the event special. The space itself was a great surprise; warm, well-designed, and perfect for a private gathering without feeling stuffy.

The beer selection is extensive and varied enough to satisfy every palate in the group — from hop-forward IPAs to more approachable options for the casual beer drinker. And then there’s the Twisted Roots Spiked Root Beer Hard Seltzer — dangerously good. The kind of drink that goes down so smoothly you have to remind yourself it’s not actually root beer. Consider yourself warned.

What really sealed it was learning about their regular events — silent disco, trivia nights, karaoke — this is clearly a place that knows how to bring people together beyond just the pour. “My husband and I were driving through coming from NY and found this gem. The location was amazing in downtown Fredericksburg. The young lady at the front desk ( I wish I got her name) was so personable and sweet. The food was amazing, we started with the goat cheese bruschetta as an appetizer, best we have ever had. For the main course I had the chicken marsala with the garlic whipped mashed potatoes and the brussel sprouts, all I can say is wow!!! My husband had the breakfast burger with french fries and he said it was delicious. Wish we had room for dessert. Our server Keely was amazing, we had the best conversation with her. She was the sweetest and always checked on us to see if we needed anything. If you are ever this way I highly recommend you check it out, you will not be disappointed!!“
