“We had a volunteer appreciation event at Wilderness Run Winery and it was such an amazing experience. The back patio was space with access to shady areas and the property is just beautiful. Staff were friendly and courteous. Our guests were able to enjoy wine at Wilderness Run and beer from 1781. Kids were able to see all of the farm animals and peacocks, as well as play on the playground. We look forward to coming back again.“

Such a great vibe had dinner at Firebirds the night before totally underwhelming the bartenders at Park Lane worked in unison and absolutely friendly and engaging with the customers. Those three should actually own the bar. I will definitely be back next time. I travel to Fredericksburg.“

“By far the most impressive, delicious, and caring restaurant in the Fredericksburg region. I walked in late with my family not expecting to be accommodated but Juan and the staff were wonderful. The food was the best Italian food in downtown by far, speaking as someone has had genuine Italian food. Juan made sure we were all attended to and was what I believe to be the best server I’ve had the experience of knowing in all of Virginia. I can’t put it into words how kind and hardworking he was, it was incredible to see him work. I was stressed that my lateness would ruin my birthday but they accommodated to our needs more than any other restaurant I think would. It was already 30 minutes past close and he allowed me to get Tiramisu as a birthday dessert. The staff and Juan quite frankly deserve to have an award. We were coming from church and the party consisted of 5 couples. We had been there before with no issues getting separate checks. Was told it was a weekend policy implemented 3 months ago. We have been there within the last month and was not told this. No bad experiences prior. Assuming the manager just did not want to accommodate us.“

“I had to go on the Med diet and was restricted to what I could eat. So I googled best Greek restaurant in Fredericksburg, VA and Parthenon came up. So we tried it. Google got this one right. The food is excellent. All homemade. I always get the Greek salad large with gyro meat. It is so good . We got the pizza there just today and it was just wonderful. The folks that run it are so friendly and make you feel at home and the store is just a trip back to the 1980s. So to all our Colonial Beach friends if you want good fresh homemade healthy food, the next trip to the doctor at MWH, go up the hill to the old Park and Shop. The Parthenon is located near the car wash and Allmans. You won’t be disappointed, ever.“

“A last minute early dinner invitation and we decided on Harry's Ale House at Harrison Crossing. We arrived at 5 pm. About 75%of the tables were full. Not bad for a Saturday. Michele was our waitstaff and she was very polite, attentive, and patient. My dinner companion and I were so busy talking, we didn't look at the menu and she was kind enough to keep checking on us. Thank you Michele for your patience. I ordered the steak salad and my companion ordered the salmon. The meals came out in a timely fashion as we had enough time for a cocktail but didn't wait beyond that. My companion's salmon dinner was quite good. I ordered my steak medium. It came out med-rare which is actually how I like it. My only comment is the steak was tough to chew although it was cooked nicely. I suggest slicing the steak into thinner slices and that will remove the toughness.We had a pleasant evening. The atmosphere was lively but not so loud I couldn't comfortably carry on a conversation. I have eaten at Harry's several times but usually carry out on my way home (also a good option).“

You can tell it’s homemade and made right. The atmosphere is relaxed, the staff is friendly, and everything came out fresh and hot. Solid local spot that’s worth stopping by if you’re in the area.“

Not sure how other customers feel, the heavy duty napkins are nice but we like the napkin dispenser on the table, that way we have the amount of napkins we need to keep our hands clean eating their nice big bar-b-cue sandwich?; 2. it also would help if you used a duplicate order pads (one copy at the cash register and one for the customer so the server can bring the check to the customer so they can see what they owe ahead of time and also makes the customer aware the servers shift might be ending ..r know the servers can see what they owe before they get to the register, it also would help the customer know the server’s shift is almost over. “Stopped in randomly and we enjoyed everything! Hubs had the burger and an Old Fashioned. I had the seasonal drink, Sweater Weather, and the veggie quesadilla. Both were delicious!!! If you are in the area, stop in!“

“Stopped by this weekend just to check out a different place and this was a nice find. Great selection of beers, a bit pricey, but the pours were good and the staff was friendly.

There was a pizza truck and we took advantage of that and ended up with two pizzas...they were delicious!

Always up for finding a Kolsch and Italian Pilsners and they had both. Turned out to be a win win. We'll be back and very interested in the live entertainment they offer.

This is a large brewery with plenty of space inside and out, and they appeared to have some private event or gaming group in the back area. Also some dartboards avaialbe.

“I have been going to this restaurant for two years now and have yet to have a bad meal. The food always comes quickly. It’s always good home-cooked food. The roast beef open face sandwich was so tender it was incredible. So if you’re looking for a good home-cooked meal, breakfast lunch and some dinner items, this is the place to go. And fantastic coffee along with a smiling staff. Super super customer service oriented.“

“Visited here yesterday at 5:00'ish. This restaurant is very busy & the food is fantastic. This was my party's first visit here.

Mixed experience. The waitstaff here deserves 5 stars, but the host/hostess stand deserves 0 (sorry, not even a 1 that a smile alone would have warranted). Unfortunately a 0 & a 5 equals a 2.5 ⭐ rating for service. Since I was unable to give a 2.5 I rounded up to a 3 in favor of the server.

The Bad: Hostesses/check-in staff were not friendly at all, not smiling or exchanging even slight pleasantries upon your arrival. Not sure if they got overwhelmed due to a full restaurant with people waiting in the front & outside to be seated (though I think that would be expected on Memorial Day weekend), but the general feeling was rushed, overwhelmed & inconvenienced by your arrival. They seemed to treat everyone this way whether they were people dining in, taking out, or delivery drivers. There seemed to be a lack of communication between people working there & the waitstaff and kitchen. The entire front-of-restaurant vibe was unprofessional, uncomfortable & tense, and I feel management needs to address this as it sets the tone for the night, or at least the early part of it.

The Good: The 3 stars for service is all due to the servers here, who are very friendly & deserve 5 stars!

Our waitress was absolutely phenomenal. She was attentive, friendly, and saved the evening. The food was delicious and well-prepared. It even smelled wonderful while we waited in the front and smelled orders leaving the restaurant. Timing was about what you would expect for it being very busy.

Overall, I liked the restaurant but the initial entry experience was highly disappointing. One member of my party said she was not impressed & that it left such a bad impression of the restaurant that she will not return. I might give them another try, but probably not at a busy hour or on a holiday based on this experience.“
