“We needed a yummy place for lunch for visiting adult grandson and dog. Very yummy food, easy parking, short wait, accommodating staff. Close to Gypsy Hill Park, another great dog friendly spot in amazing Staunton.”

“We just had an excellent dinning experience for our family Christmas dinner. Staunton was a greet meeting spot for our family to all gather. It was all perfectly done. Even though we had some guests show up late the staff was super accommodating and attentive. The food was excellent. I had the best short rib dish I have ever had. The salmon was cooked perfectly with a very delightful cream sauce. The mushroom ravioli was also excellent. All portions were generous but also balanced. The service was great all the staff was so pleasant and everyone seems to enjoy what they were doing. The wine was excellent and the bar made excellent classic cocktails including a manhattan. Everyone should try Queen City bistro! I can’t wait to come back!”

“Just finished a great lunch here. We settled in outside, Calvin took our order and shortly brought it to the table. A warm summer drizzle added to the ambiance under the wide table umbrella. After the second bite, the torrent hit and Calvin appeared to hustle us and our meals indoors to dryer accomodations. Thank you, Calvin for great service!!! And the chef is appreciated too as the food was first rate.”

“10 out of 10 the best pastries!!! Came across this business on FB a few days before a field trip to Staunton, VA for my daughter. Field trip day was Thursday and Giancarlo is only open for retail hours on Friday’s and Saturday’s. I was so bummed, but I sent a message to see if they would let me make a special order for Thursday pick up, and they did!!! We ordered three tarts. A chocolate raspberry, a chocolate espresso and a lemon. AMAZING!!! Giancarlo uses the most delicious chocolate I have ever tasted! And the lemon was the perfect balance of sweet and tangy. This bakery is a MUST visit!”

What truly made our visit unforgettable was Debbie, our waitress. She was so genuinely kind and warm that she literally brought me to tears. She shared that she works part-time for her customers and said that had she already been retired, she would never have met my husband and me. That really touched my heart. “I ordered a birthday cake and some gluten-free cupcakes from Magdalena’s. Alba was so helpful in suggesting options for the cake, especially since I wanted a photo added to the top. The icing was amazing, the cake tasty and moist, and the mousse filling divine. Everyone at the party complimented me on how good it was. My GF intolerant guests loved the cupcakes. Highly recommend.”

“Can't say enough as to how good the food, service and atmosphere is at the Mill Street grill. We had the trout and the prime rib both very nice. Salad was very good. Drinks were perfect! Wait staff over the top!”

“The food was very well prepared...crab meat came out of the shell in full pieces, shrimp peeled easily and the sides were great.
The staff was friendly and worked hard to get all their customers seated & served.
We drove an hour and a half and it was well worth the drive!

“Having our annual Dolled for Dinner at Chop House Tavern tonight and it was absolutely amazing! Food: fabulous! Service: spectacular! Angela was awesome. So were the mashed potatoes, stuffed meatloaf, asparagus, and chocolate cake. I'd never had a ginger bread martini before, but I know I want to have another one at your restaurant. And I only live a frw blocks away so this may be my new happy hour spot. Tonight was our first time there but we will definitely be back. 5/5 stars.”

“Delicious cooked to order Thai food! My mom and i went while here for a conference nearby. The steps can be a little tricky getting to the actual restaurant so take extra time if steps are hard for too! Everything was made-to-order. The Thai tea tasted like actual brewed tea, soups/ spring rolls, curry, everything(!) was wonderful. The evening we were there, I think just a husband and wife team were running the front and back, both very kind and helpful. Would definitely go back!”
