“I ordered 15 pizzas for take out. When I went to pick them up, I was greeted by friendly employees who treated me like I was their family. True Italian hospitality. Excellent customer service and tasty pizza! I rarely leave any reviews, but I had to for this restaurant.“

“Hands down best pizza on the peninsula- we were weekly regulars at another local spot but now we make the drive from the south end of Hampton to north Newport News to pick it up at least every other week+. For what it’s worth, my tiny grandmother, who grew up in Queens and traveled from Long Island to visit with us for this past holiday, ate half of one of these huge pizzas. And she never eats anything. All that being said, I must admit, the quality has somewhat declined over the past several months. The customer service has not felt… overly accommodating. But we really weren’t concerned with that as much as our order being accurate and the pizza being fresh and delicious. Going forward, (and as advice to anyone who reads these reviews) I absolutely would not pay for “extra” anything on your pizza because you just will not get it. I thought/hoped that this was a one-off issue, or that it was simply a matter of a new cook working, etc.. but after our last three orders having discrepancies, and paying $80+ for two pizzas and garlic knots, I am having a hard time justifying the price, delicious as it is.I will order and make the drive at-least a time or two again and earnestly hope that Pizza Sam perseveres and becomes a mainstay on the peninsula ❤️“

“Carabba's did not dissapointed me. I visit this place for a to go order at lunchtime. I ordered my favorite dish pork chops. Soup was exquisite, and the bread was hot and fresh. I did not review the atmosphere because I just went there to pick up my order. Great job, Carraba"s“

“Three of us went to dinner at 6pm on a Wednesday evening. We didn't have reservations but the main dining room seemed almost full so they sat us in the second room. The food and service were phenomenal. We got the lobster ravioli and the salmon picatta. The free bread and olive oil was delish too. The only downside is there was a large party of like 20 people that came into the room and it made it hard to hear my friends at my table. But the host apologized for that and checked on us a few times throughout our dinner.“

“We stopped in for lunch today. Kristina was our waitress and she was terrific. We are not from the area but she made us feel so welcome. The food was DELICIOUS and the value for what we paid was incredible. We told her we were in town for a college tour. She told us about the area and gave us some great info. “Once a month, I’ll make the 15-20 minute each way drive to get take out for my family. Yes, there are closer places to me to get the same menu items, but Jimmy da Greek is the best! Food is delicious with plenty of options. The restaurant is clean and comfortable. The staff members are delightful and friendly, and they appreciate veterans. When the weather is nice, sometimes there’s live entertainment. I highly recommend this place!“

“Vancostas gives me a diner vibe. The restaurant has been around a while so it explains some of the dated decor. The decor had no affect on my food or the service provided to me because both were great!Heather was our waitress and she made sure to make our first experience an awesome one! I ordered the French toast breakfast which came with a side (I got bacon) and 2 eggs (mine were scrambled with cheese). My husband ordered steak & eggs and an extra order of toast. Our total was $40 including tip.You can use card or cash!“

“The cook was very friendly and down to earth. I asked if I could get my bread separate from my Philly steak and cheese so it would not get soggy when I went to eat it later at work and the cook had no issues with that was super cool. Great looking food tasted a little bit because it's my first time here the rest I'm saving for my work lunch and the food is great good size portion too and the bread smells delicious. “I love Marcos food always good, but the delivery experience I had yesterday was not right. I ordered delivery for a reason to be delivered to my door. if you can’t do that you should not be doing delivery. I had to stop working to go downstairs and get my food because the driver said he could not walk up the stairs. What bothered me the most is I had to walk to the man car almost not to the bottom of the stairs smh.“

“First time trying Anna's Pizza. People were nice. Service was fast. Especially since I was told it would be about 20 minutes but it came out in a put 5. Pizza was good. I got a supreme and I think all the moisture from the veggies made my crust soft and soggy. I guess Ill eat it faster next time lol.“

“First time trying Vinny's Pizza! Hands down some of the best pizza in Newport News, and most of the 757. It may seem like your typical re-heat NY style pizza joint, however, the ingredients, the taste, and the texture is absolutely on point when ordered fresh/on the spot. Ingredients taste fresh and baked with the perfect amount of doneness and oven char, the bottom of the pizza and crust have the perfect amount of crispiness and bite to it. All around the pizza is crispy, chewy, and soft in all the right places. The tomato sauce has the right balance of tanginess and sweetness... It's a dang good pie!“

“I ordered food to be delivered. The order was promptly made and quickly arrived. The fries are cooked perfectly, not a fan of the ranch at all. The burger was great with fresh ingredients. I wish there was more of a description of the food in the app because I didn’t know it came with tomatoes. The mozzarella sticks are crispy and fat with cheese! Not a fan of the marina sauce, a bit too watery for me. Next time I will try their pizza.“

“Recently visiting the Hampton VA area, and one of the locals suggested it. Pizza's were on special for the day so we got a couple among the group to share. The staff was friendly and helpful, even let us know that a large lunch order had come in and food other than pizza would likely take a while -- which was helpful info. The pizzas were both delicious and I plan to go back for calzones or other items. Prices were good too.“

“I ate at the restaurant quite a few times and anything that goes wrong with the order they fix, or give money back for. Which is awesome alot of places won't take accountability. I love the waitress there Jennifer she always is on point and always goes out of her way for my family when we order Togo or order to sit in. I ask for her Everytime! “So freaking good ! Should have taken a picture but we devoured that! I rate it a 8/8.5. Delivery was fast. They charge for everything condiment, which is annoying. The pizza was hot and fresh. The cheese pull was top tier. We order a supreme stuff pizza. I think they could have added more veggies. There wasn’t much veggies or meat. It felt like I was eating a pepperoni pizza with garden tomatoes sauce. Nonetheless I enjoyed it and want to try more from the menu. I recommend to try this place out.“

“We went to Poquoson Diner yesterday which was an especially busy day. Been there for breakfast many times but they had three large parties and yet the servers were just delightful. not once in the midst of the crowded restaurant was any of them complaining, always had smiles on their faces, and genuinely served everyone with a true sense of southern hospitality. “This is a great late night spot. I was a part of a party of 20 folks and they happily accommodated us. The service was excellent. Orders were correct and food was delivered in a timely fashion. I ordered the pizza and a side salad. I also shared a few wings. The ingredients were fresh and the pizza was very good. I rate it 4 out of 5 only based on the overall experience. “My grandmother takes my children and I here when we visit some days. Everything is home made. Bread is amazing. Staff is friendly, patient and very kind. If you're near the Phoebus area of Hampton check them out! Salads are HUGE and delicious! Pizza is huge and flavorful and you HAVE to get the garlic knots.Kid-friendliness: They love children there. My children are 4 and 5 so if they are older I'd say yes!“

“While it looks quite unassuming from the outside, Sopranos delivered a phenomenal food experience. The chicken piccata and the meatballs were amazing. The New Yorker sandwich and the cheese tortellini were to die for.Our waitress was so friendly and helpful. Would love to be able to enjoy some beer or wine with dinner but it’s not available.Don’t judge a book by its cover. Sopranos is well worth dining in or taking out.“

“Food was so good! We had a large party of 20 people. They accommodated for the number of people. Staff were super friendly and very helpful. They did amazing with getting orders and separating checks. The ladies kept our drinks refilled and always asked if we needed anything else. Food came out a at good rate of time for a large party. “Good Italian food. When I eat in, the waiters are good. When I get takeout, I have to go inside to get my order within a reasonable time instead of having it delivered to my car. The takeout people often ignore me when I'm sitting inside waiting for my order even after I told staff in waiting for my order.“
