“I would recommend takeout. Flavors were good. Pretty greasy, but that's what I ordered. The place was kind of unappealing - water on the floor, looks like they are part way through converting from whatever it used to be, wobbly tables.“
“Delhi Spice is one of the best Indian restaurants in the DC area. Definitely try their tandoori wings, some of the most tender flavorful wings I’ve ever tried. The owner and manager Sudhir is one of the friendliest people you will ever meet. Highly recommend stopping by!“
“We wanted to visit this place from a long time after hearing about it from friends but since we live 45 minutes away, we never got a chance. Luckily, today we were in the area and finally got to try their pizza. I have had fusion pizzas at a few other places in the past but this was the best so far! Thin crust, well done, and perfect taste! We had a large Kadhai Paneer and a medium chicken tikka between our family of three which was more than enough. We have some left overs for lunch now! The owner Manoj was really nice and gave us recommendations for choosing pizza, (out of the so many options they have) since it was our 1st time. The kind of customer service he provides is rare to find these days. Would love to eat this pizza more often if we lived close by.“
“Trendy and modern Indian restaurant with gourmet cuisine. Delicious food, creative cocktails, great and well skilled bartender. Traditional and molecular gastronomy nouveau. Anurag was a great server. Good for parties and couples. Free parking. Totally worth it. My girlfriend and I went for dinner. Great modern vibes.“
“We visited Washington DC to enjoy the Cherry Blossom. Even though it was almost time to close, we were accommodated. We were all hungry, so there were lots to order. I admired the staff patience with us all. The food and drinks were great. Highly recommended.“
“I recently stumbled upon Lassan and ordered takeout. The food was delicious. I ordered the masala nachos, masala fries, palak chaat, chicken tikka masala, chicken vindaloo, veggie biryani, masaledar aloo gobi and chana masala. My family’s favorites were the chicken tikka masala and the chicken vindaloo although I kind of feel like we were mistakenly given butter chicken instead of tikka masala just based on what I’ve gotten at other Indian restaurants since it was my first time at this restaurant.I ordered a medium spice level for our order but some items like the biryani were extra spicy. My family loves spicy food so we loved it but fair warning to those with lower spice tolerances.Takeout orders need to be packaged better since my masala nachos and masala fries were very soggy even though I arrived to pick up my order right as it came out. My palak chaat was also soggy, not crispy at all. The flavors were delicious so my family and I agreed these items will only be ordered when we dine in.“
“The interior is very cool, sever was courteous. Service is quick. When it comes to the food itself: I'm on the fence. We ordered several appetizers and main dishes; we liked some and not others. Because it's an Indian Mexican fusion place, the Indian flavors over power any Mexican ones. So, it's up to the customer's taste.“
“I come here all the time but I’ve never posted a review. The staff is very friendly, and the service is phenomenal. I feel comfortable here and the facility is clean and modern. Good selection of beer, and the best Indian food in northern Virginia. Don’t skip out on it just because it’s a gas station. You’d be missing out on a real local gem.“
“We picked up food here and boy did it delight! Flavorful, large portions and well packed to bring home and eat hot. The vegetarian options (samosas and vegetables in Indian gravy) did not disappoint. Butter chicken was melt in your mouth tender and juicy.“
“When you see a lot of Indians at a high-end Indian restaurant, it’s a good sign the food is good. And it was really good. The menu is diverse with creative chef specialties. It also had some really good vegetarian dishes with a fake meat chicken tikka masala that was surprisingly tasty.Vegetarian options: Farzi Butter Chicken“
“Outstanding. Great attention to detail in decor, cutlery, and fine dining. Not a stain on knives, plates and glasses. Super nice staff who go out of their way to make u comfortable. We ordered Malabari chicken. And it did not disappoint. Creamy and spicy. Thank u, we will return“
“Enjoyed RASA opening day in Crystal City, Arlington, National Landing location. Many dining options with classic bowls and DIY selections. Food is superb and inexpensive, staff is fast, efficient and friendly. Start off with cocktails, blended with masala, cardamom, tamarind. Try the masala chai soft serve. Look forward to return visits, best wishes for continued success.“
“Food is amazing!!! Prices are extremely reasonable.I wish they would play Indian music instead of elevator style music inside, but other than that… this restaurant is fantastic! They have spicy level options with each meal, a lot of Gluten free options (Like the Uttapam - soooooo good). We’re very happy to have found this spot and plan on coming back very often for dine in and takeout.“
“The Tandoori Chicken at Mumbai Darbar is a true culinary gem! The chicken is juicy and flavorful, with just the right amount of char from the tandoor. It's served with fresh mint chutney and onions, adding a refreshing contrast to the bold flavors. Definitely one of the best I've ever tasted!“
“Easily one of the top Indian restaurants in the DMV region. Easy to find the place. There’s paid street parking, a free parking lot behind the restaurant. They do accommodate walk-ins but the wait times can sometimes be more than expected. Seating is limited and it gets busy during dinner time. Bar seating available.Ambiance is okay, atmosphere is slightly noisy and music is acceptable. But you can easily have conversations in the loudest setting. Staff and service is good. Really efficient and knowledgeable.Everything on the menu is worth a shot. My favorites are - Chicken chili, Paneer chili, Schezwan chicken, Chole Bhature, Hakka noodles, chicken biryani, rajasthani Laal maas, Kashmiri goat curry. There are regular desert options, nothing that will wow you but is of really good quality. Not a fan of their butter chicken and Naan. Chat items have room for improvement. You can place order online through gruhub, Uber eats, DoorDash, etc. There isn’t a price difference between ordering on these apps and their restaurant menu which makes me believe they have marked up the cost to accommodate additional platform surcharges. Other places will have discounted restaurant rates.Good place for family and friends get-together. Will definitely recommend and return for more.“
“They do a great job of reflecting India's regional cuisines in authentic flavors. The service is excellent, and the desserts are delicious. For mains, loved the Coorgi Murg, the Chicken Malai, and the Fish Vendiam. For dessert, loved the Mango Shreekhand and the Kesari Rasmalai. Looking forward to trying the new mains and desserts on the menu!“
“Went here for the first time and was pretty impressed. The tandoori chicken and biryani were both some of the best I've ever tasted! The environment was nice and the design was fitting of the quality of food, though the lack of windows felt a bit claustrophobic. Everyone there was very nice and helpful! The only real negative was that it took nearly an hour for the food to arrive. They weren't especially busy, but it was pretty early (around 4:30) so that could be why. Still, I wish they would have at least brought out bread as we waited, since my whole party was very hungry. Don't take that as a reason not to come here, though. The food was well worth the wait! The bread assortment was fresh, well portioned and tasted amazing. The mango lassi was probably the best I've had... definitely the best in the area. I'll definitely be returning and if you're craving authentic Indian food, you should try Saffron!“
“I had to knock off a star. The fare is quite amazing, I’ve always had great meals here. But . . . . . I have to take off a star. They added large TV sets since I was here before and the dining atmosphere is ruined by soccer games and what I guess is Indian rap music blaring on another. Totally awful distractions from trying to intimately enjoy their incredible food. Also, a mysterious “service charge” appeared on the very bottom of our bill. If it was noted on the menu I never saw it. The server’s explanation of this extra 15% charge was unintelligible. When the credit slip arrived, it was asking for yet another tip. I’m not a cheapskate. I worked in restaurants for many years and know how difficult it can be. Asking for a tip on top what already has a service charge is a bit arrogant. So, pretty awesome food. I would go back with earplugs and a sharper eye on the bill.“
“I discovered BC by the recommendation of my late spouse. This place has been my go to for quick Indian restaurant. Generous portions, the dishes are very tasty, the staff are very hospitable and friendly. You can't beat the price. Highly highly “
“Words cannot express how happy we are that we discovered this hidden gem when we were simply looking on impulse for an Indian restaurant after a long day. The name seemed familiar from one we had eaten at in Falls Church that was a favorite of ours. And we were pleasantly surprised that they are owned by the same people. The staff here were just as courteous, helpful and efficient making sure our drinks stay full, the plates were cleared away and coming to check on how everything was. The whole experience from the presentation of the food, the portions, the quality of the ingredients, how well it was seasoned and cooked and the pricing for what you get which is a lot was right on mark in every way. We could taste the effort and love that goes into their cooking and how much they take pride in what they do. I think the food is just a bit better seasoned than their other location too. Everything tasted amazing and had our taste buds singing. We could not have asked for a better experience both times we were there for lunch and dinner and we feel most welcomed when we are there. They are wonderful proof that good food traverses boundaries and cultures amd brings people together as also witnessed by the other happy diners there of various ethnicities. Definitely on our list of places to go to and another local business we plan to support very often.Vegetarian options: I personally enjoyed the vegetable pakora, plain saag and chana masala. The only thing that could be better would be a mixed vegetarian option on their main menu either as a entree or appetizer so I could explore more vegetarian dishes before committing to just one.Dietary restrictions: I enjoyed the facts that they were gluten free, nut free and dairy free options as there are times I'm unable to consume these if I'm having digestive issues.Parking: There are quite a few food places as well as a smaller Walmart so parking can be a little challenging though we had no problems finding spots.“
“In this unassuming spot lies your next tasty meal. We shared a combo #8 with a chicken and a seekh (ground beef) kabob with rice, small salad of lettuce/cucumbers/onions, chana (chickpeas) and roti (bread). Had a fresh mango lassi to go with it and ate it too fast to take a picture. It was plenty of food for us to share and enjoy. Don’t expect much of the decor - it’s the food and the kind people that make this place great.“
“Whilst I was on a trip to the area I stumbled upon Masala Express. In search for gluten free and vegan friendly options I decided to give it a try. I ordered the Aloo Gobi which comes with a large side of rice. This was truly the best Indian food I have ever had. The service was phenomenal. The waiters as well as the owners were very kind and appreciative of the tip I left at the end of my meal. Masala Express is a fairly small restaurant with only two tables, so if you have a large party I recommend taking out your order. Overall, Masala Express is an amazing place to spend your evening when visiting Arlington, VA.“
“The menu at Bollywood Bistro is a testament to the rich tapestry of Indian cuisine, offering a wide array of dishes from various regions of the country. Whether you're a fan of fiery curries, aromatic biryanis, or delicate tandoori specialties, there's something to tantalize every palate.“
“Inside of the Indian Bazar, the staff is really nice, they gently introduce you thousands of choices on the menu, I like to order Boneless Chicken and Goat Biryani. You can seat on the dining area to eat, and here’s also have other Indian food and desserts that you can buy. One thing need to remember is they do not open on Monday.“
“The best and the most authentic Indian restaurant in the DMV area.I don’t think there’s just one single dish I can recommend - the food their chef cooks is excellence, every item on the menu is amazing and executed to perfection. Food is primarily about taste and ingredients and these people seem to have nailed it for sure! Also the staff is very kind and friendly.“
“Ordered the spicy chili chicken bowl which was bright, fresh, and full of amazing flavors, also ordered the garlic naan which was fresh The extreme overall great tasting. Staff was friendly restaurant was clean. Don’t think you could ask for too much more.“
“One of the best Indian cuisine restaurants is this one. Weekends are buffet only (no biryanis when we visited) and weekdays are ala carte only. Their food is an authentic representation of what you had eaten in India. We found their sweet were overly sweet, but main course, appetizers were 10/10.“
“On those days that I really don't want to make my own meal and I really don't want to spend a couple of Benjamins at Rasika, this is my go-to Indian carryout. I could live off chickpeas and lentils from here. I'd give it another star if parking weren't so challenging. The grocery store really highlights the fact that I need to up my cooking game.“
