Mexican Restaurants near Tysons

“Prior to this visit, I had never been to a California Tortilla location by any means.Recently, that indeed did change, I was coming back from a long day in the famed city of Washington D.C. and was looking for something to get for dinner.I stumbled across this place whilst in the Tysons Corner Center and was willing to try this said place. I ordered the Blackened Chicken Burrito and was met with that of quick, yet rather incoherent service, as the maker of my burrito had a hard time trying to understand what I precisely wanted in my burrito due in-pride part to the said location being in that of a food court atmosphere.Overall, this particular restaurant was not the best in terms of that of an atmospheric perspective, but it redeemed itself with that of this establishments' spectacular food.

Vegetarian options: This establishment has Tofu for those whom are vegetarian or vegan.“

“Kinda unfair. Tried the esquites and the special tacos. Also had the watermelon Fresca and horchata. Liked the elote and drinks. The special tacos were okay. Meat was kinda plain. I'll try their regular menu next time because all that was tasty. Esquites had really nice smoky crema.“

“Wow! Besides the food being exceptional, I was also informed that they cook in exclusively olive oil, use good quality ingredients (no shortcuts), and their meat is halal. The owners are passionate and the food tastes like a lot of love and thought has gone into curating each dish.

I got the guac taco dip, Mexican chicken tacos, and pressed taco- flavorful, fresh and probably the best food I’ve had in a while.

10/10- must visit!“

“The food is pretty good. They give you a lot of it. I mean, like more than is healthy or normal or safe. My wife said I didn’t have to eat all of it, but I did. I got fajitas. It was enough to fill a Volkswagen Golf. Not a big car, but more space than you would normally need to store a fajita.“

“This place is kind of small hole in the wall. Seats about 14 or so outside and not many more people inside. Nice menu that's not too large or too small. Some Tex-Mex menus have way too many choices. The starter tortilla chips and salsa were top notch. Service all around was excellent. I had the Chicken Chimichanga and it was one of the best I've ever had. It came with rice and refried beans as well as pico, sour cream, guacamole, and lettuce. Everything was delicious, cooked perfectly, and reasonably priced. The presentation was great as well Can't wait to come back.“

“First of all the atmosphere is so cute!! They went all out for halloween but in general you can tell a lot of thought was put into the decor to make it a fun environment. The happy hour was great, 10/10 recommend their spicy margarita. The beef empanadas were so delicious and all of their salsas and house sauce was so good. Lastly, our server Lucas was so attentive and great. Everything came out extremely quick and he was very personable. This will be our new go to spot before EagleBank events!

“Excellent tacos with crispy corn tortillas. Had the pork, chorizo, shrimp, fish, and queso birria. Highly recommend the pork and chorizo. This place is more accurately described as a food truck with a picnic table next to it. Reminds me of a lot of places in TX. Love it.“

“Hidden gem! Parked to go into another restaurant then happened to see the orders this restaurant was bringing out, so switched gears and came here for lunch. Food was delicious: fresh, hot, tasty unique flavors. Fresh ice water available for paying customers which was nice. The staff was friendly and smiling, helpful, polite when our child was looking for the restroom and the tables were cleaned up fast which was nice as the tables were turned over quickly. Want to come back even though we don’t live close!“

“From the atmosphere to the food, I had a great time at this hidden Mexican restaurant. I've been to Agave a couple of times and their staff is friendly and they have a variety in their menu, food is always warm and delicious. They have a nice bar too if you want to come in for some drinks!“

Our waitress was a gem with kindness and a beautiful smile. She explained the menu in great length. She was smart together and a natural to serve her customers. Two recommendations Mexican Restaurant can use a little more spices, it is too Luke warm, tacos appear unhealthy looking, like they were sleepy or taking a nap. I rather you increase a little price but make it lively looking spicy meal New ill see you soon . And yes we will recommend to others

“Was hankering for some tacos one afternoon and was driving through North Arlington and remembered district taco right on Lee Highway. I stopped in and I had a couple à la carte tacos and being a vegetarian it was exciting to see they had a plant-based meat substitute on their menu. so I ordered two Itza tacos prepared the way I like them on corn tortillas and I have to say they were some of the best tacos I have ever had, bar, none. Just for reference, I eat a lot of tacos so I would know a great taco, and those were spectacular. Thank you district taco for offering a vegetarian option and for preparing such an amazing taco. I will be back. ☮️“

ive noticed that a alot of the members have improved there english since my first review, they have improved greatly in the service realm. Also the quality of the food is amazing for it's price. To describe it in simple terms is... It tastes like the staff care about the foods flavor. My usual meal costs 12-13 dollars.
Really helps me out (who is a struggling college student) get quality food. I'm so happy there not raising the price like othe restaurants are. If I order the same at Chipotle, I would pay 16-18, for less quality food that honestly tastes like cr*p. Compared to qdoba's 12-13, well portion food, and in generally better cooking.

One thing I want them to improve is to make breakfast last anther 30mins. There been a few times where I get there 10 mins late and breakfast is over.

Tippy's is timeless, delicious, and no-frills classic Mexican-American at an affordable price.

The hot sauce is incredibly well balanced and out of this world good. Just spicy enough to tickle the tongue with a great, full-bodied flavor and a hint of lime. The queso is also perfect!
