It’s so hard to find truly authentic Korean fried chicken, but this spot checks all the boxes. The flavor? Spot on. The breading? Crispy perfection with that light, crackly shell that doesn’t get soggy. Every bite was juicy, flavorful, and satisfying in a way only real Korean fried chicken can be.

“I recently visited Makchang Dodok K-BBQ, and it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment we walked in, the staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive. “We've been to many, and this is the best Korean BBQ in the entire DMV. The food quality is so good and the service and atmosphere were above and beyond. They have extensive menu options outside of the KBBQ as well, which is something a lot of other places don't offer. The meats are quite pricy, which was the only downside, but the entree prices seemed fair. We can't wait to go back!“

“This place is a FIVE stars for one simple reason, the food is incredible! Prices are more so reasonable for the portions too. The soups are made of broth, not water. The fried food is always white, not dark cause the oil changed and not just topped off. I never had any problem with the staff or service cause I treat them with respect. They can make any anything more or less spicy, just need to ask. They're always sanitizing when I visit.“

However, I wished the seasoning stuck to them. The honey gathered at the bottom. I just dipped the wings in the honey but wings need stickier seasoning.Still definitely worth a try though.“
