“The spicy wings are some of my favorite wings to order on a regular basis. They’re different from most other fried chicken spots — extremely crispy with a bold spicy flavor that really stands out. The food can sometimes take a little while to come out, especially when they’re busy, but the staff is always friendly and welcoming. I’m really glad we have a local Bonchon here in Alexandria.“

“As part of our DC visit, we treated six family members to a fantastic foodie night at Ingle Korean Steakhouse--a spot our son (who lives here) highly recommended, and he was absolutely right.
We were warmly welcomed by Natalie, our server, who couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. She walked us through the menu like a pro--perfect for us first-timers--while getting us started with some delicious scallion salads.

We briefly considered doing the prix-fixe, but went with à la carte instead... and were really glad we did.

We kicked things off with a spread of shareables: steak tartare, ssam (lettuce wraps), scallion salad, wok-charred asparagus with garlic chips, corn cheese (sweet, cheesy, slightly indulgent goodness), sautéed mushrooms, jjamppong (a spicy seafood and beef noodle soup), doenjang jjigae (rich soybean paste soup with beef), and beef fried rice. A few of us added white rice to round things out.

For the main event, both tables went with the galbi (boneless short ribs), and our table also tried the jumulleok and the ribeye cap. Everything came out perfectly cooked to medium, then cut into bite-sized pieces and served--such a nice touch.

The vibe struck that perfect balance: upscale but relaxed, lively but not loud--easy to enjoy great conversation while still soaking in the energy of the room.

All in all, an outstanding pick for a family dinner. We'd go back in a heartbeat!“

“We had an amazing dining experience at Makchang Dodook in Springfield! The service was outstanding from start to finish, and the food was absolutely delicious. The large intestine was incredibly flavorful and perfectly cooked definitely one of the best we’ve ever had. Every dish they served us was fresh, tasty, and satisfying. A special shoutout to our server, Deina, who took such great care of us. She was attentive, kind, and truly showed compassion in the way she assisted us. I was trying to get suggestions and ask questions about certain things, but every time I asked a question about something, the server just dumped it in the bowl. He never answered the question. When I got to the cashier, I apologized, because I wondered if I had done something wrong. But he just referred to me as “diva,” and tried to assure me that nothing was wrong. I told him I didn’t appreciate being called a diva. I just don’t like being treated like I’m a problem when I haven’t done anything. I gave two stars for service, because my first experience was so amazing! I don’t know what happened.“

“You have got to ask for Jay Kim, he is the best server in the house. He was patient and ever so helpful with us as first time hot potters. I had a vegetarian hot pot, well, except for the dumplings. Although they have no vegetarian options, he worked with me and provided me with an alternate option. It would be more awesome for them to add it to their menu tho for those of us who just love veggies. The broth is vegetarian based so it makes sense to have a vegetarian option along with it. We had a party of 8 and Jay Kim made it so much fun!!! The food was absolutely delicious. Everything was so fresh. One other option that would have been great to have would be fresh ginger at the sauce bar and mushrooms on the vegetable plate. We were all pleasantly pleased with our food. The ambiance is very nice, low light but more than enough to cook and enjoy each other's company. Jay Kim made sure we always had what we needed. The sauce bar was amazing, so many choices. I recommend making a few bowls, some for the broth and and some for dipping your cooked food. If you get any type of meat, also make a sauce to marinade the meat. You don't have to but it made a good difference. Meats are thinly sliced for quick cooking and again,so fresh. The price was worth the amount of food and the experience. There is an all you can eat option or an a la carte option where you just get one meat selection and a vegetable plate which was more than enough for us as a party of young ladies. This was a great first hot pot experience and I definitely recommend it, just make sure to ask for Jay Kim. I know you will enjoy it!!!“

“Today I had a really satisfying meal at K-Street inside K Market.

The pork cutlet was very comforting and balanced — just a classic, reliable donkatsu flavor.
What impressed me the most was the tuna kimbap. The ratio of egg and carrot was excellent, and the flavor was clean, mild, and not salty or overpowering at all. It felt very different from the typical overly seasoned $9.99 kimbap.

Everything tasted fresh and well balanced.

I’d definitely recommend the donkatsu and kimbap at K-Street inside K Market if you are looking for a simple and satisfying Korean-style meal.“

“This is the most best chicken wings in entire Washington DC, we always have it every week on our days off and we live down in Southwest. They have best Korean soysauce but surprisingly the most delicious taste is Lemon Pepper sauce, it's so yummy as sweet, bit of salty sour and the price?! “There was another Korean place I’d go to near Metro Center train station, but when my location changed, the restaurant was too far. SeoulSpice is filling that void. First time trying them and the rice bowl was so flavorful. I usually do not eat spicy foods, but would definitely have the spicy pork again. I also enjoyed the addition of the marinated egg.

The staff were polite and helped me through my selections. You do not have to wait for them to cook your bowl. All the options are ready for them to scoop. They also have gluten free cookies made from rice flour. They were delicious.“

Owners are very friendly and always greet you with smile. It’s a self-serve restaurant in a food court, but they answer your questions in a nice manner and appreciates you dining with them.

The food is so gooood. Cold buckwheat soba is a must-try here, especially during summer. There is a bowl of sauce that you mix wasabi and minced raddish, and you put buckwheat noodles into the sauce and eats it from there. Other buckwheat noodle dish are solid as well if you want something warm or hot to heat you up.

Over the summer, I go to this restaurant at least once a month, if not more. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone who wants to eat healthy noodles with diverse flavor.“

“I had rented a karaoke room for myself and I thought the price was reasonable, though I'm not sure how long you could stay in it but I was in there for about 2 hours- not bad. I had the Tteok-bokki, which the serving size was in a large plate and it was a good size because I thought it was too big for just myself but I finished it. The bartenders were very fun and kept me company when I went and sat at the bar. They are cute people! I recommend this karoake bar!“

“Great Korean spot! The army stew came in a huge portion — easily enough for 3–4 people to share. The pork katsu was a bit on the harsh side for my taste, but still decent. It’s a solid place for late-night eats, especially for night owls, but keep in mind that although they close at 2, the kitchen shuts down a little earlier.( Been there once around 11, was told their kitchen was closed) Overall, good food and worth checking out!“

“Having watched a lot of Kdramas and Korean food documentaries on Netflix, I was quite keen on trying jajangmyun with tangsuyuk and somehow by chance came upon this reel on the ‘gram about this Korean-Chinese restaurant that served authentic jajangmyun along with pork tangsuyuk!! I was elated and landed there on a Friday evening for some good food.
I loved how simple the setting of the restaurant was, it felt quite homely. We were seated immediately and offered complimentary hot tea (quite appreciated because it was freezing outside). I had already decided beforehand that I wanted the jajangmyun and pork tangsuyuk but the menu looked so appetising that we ended up ordering a plate of fried dumplings as well.😬
The fried dumplings were great — not too oily and the mincemeat inside was really flavourful. The portions were also pretty generous, I think they had about 8 in a plate. The jajangmyun was exactly how I had hoped it to be — noodles in black bean sauce with pork and veggies. The sauce was not spicy at all, which I personally liked (not sure if they have a spicy version). We ordered the regular portion of jajangmyun and shared between the two of us, but this can easily be eaten by one, going by the fact that they have a larger serving also on the menu. The pork tangsuyuk served with sweet and sour sauce also tasted good. The pork was crispy and went well with the sauce served along with it. Personally, I didn’t find any sourness in the sauce, it was just sweet but the combination is a win. And the quantity is a loooot so it can be shared.
All in all, great find (all thanks to my Instagram algorithm😅) and I would like to visit again and try more of their dishes. :)“
