“So wish I lived closer to this restaurant because I'd come again in a heartbeat. Came with a party of 14 and we were blown away with every dish and drink. My friend and I ordered the Maple Glazed NY Strip Steak (they didn't have the Flank Steak that night so they subbed it with a NY Strip) and the Jamaican Jerked Pork Shoulder to share. I'm still thinking about those 2 dishes even now that it's been a couple days since having it. For the Pork Shoulder, the meat was insanely tender and I absolutely loved the creamy polenta bed and the contrasting slightly sour cabbage. For the steak, the wine glaze + chimichurri were the perfect pairings for the meat. The glaze was slightly sweet and complemented the savoriness of the chimichurri. Really enjoyed the scallion potato cake and brussel sprouts that soaked up the glaze too. I ordered the Snow Day drink and that was well done too, not too sweet. Overall amazing amazing meal and stellar service as well!”
“Whenever I visit friends in Charlestown we come here. Excellent ice cream and service. Tons of flavors. Tonight I had burgundy cherry and orange pineapple. Both were great.”
“The food, the friendly service, the quaint and charming interior. Everything about this place boasts comfortable, delicious, cozy and quintessential countryside Vermont coffee shop. I am so grateful to be a local because this place is an absolute gem.”
“Absolutely amazing BBQ. I moved to Springfield from Memphis, and I can say the pulled pork and brisket served up by Two Neanderthals competes with the best Memphis has to offer. Get extra sauce — it’s worth it.”
“From the best-ever cocktails to the delicious made-in-house food to the warm and wonderful service from Mark, we were wowed! Bonus points for the ambience of trains passing through the station and the featured menu/drink items being stellar. A highlight of our trip!”
“Wonderful cappuccino. Nice people and an awesome buckwheat brownie.I really enjoyed my short visit and chat with the barista. He suggested a few things to checkout in town. The coffee bar is right next to the Springfield falls and I enjoyed my coffee and a short stroll through town and enjoyed the view of the falls.”
“The PEOPLE are what make this place. Kind, attentive and always smiling and joking! It is a little run down with patches on some of the seats and could use a bit of upkeep. However, that can be viewed as part of the vibe - relaxed, comfortable, homey. I always enjoy their quesadillas and margaritas!! And Shirley, Robin and the staff are all awesome!”
“My favorite cute little coffee shop! My boyfriend & I always enjoy our coffee/breakfast stop here. Food and drinks are always so tasty and the staff are always so welcoming and smiling!! Stopping by Boston Dreams always makes our days so much better :)”
“What a nice surprise to find this gem on our way up to the mountains! Quaint, warm and inviting…lovely staff. We had the chicken pie and the steak pie which were delicious and their peanut butter pie was fabulous. Will definitely stop in again!”
“We tried the whole menu and food was delicious! Good customer service. The food came out pretty fast. We loved the cheese board and pretzels. We were a big group but Fevy, our server, was amazing! Thank you so much. Definitely visiting again”
“Food is really good. Very friendly, we get takeout every now and then. Windchill of 12 tonight they gave me a cup of their hot cinnamon tea to try. So good! I highly recommend this place.”
“I don't review often , but I haven't sat down at a restaurant and had such great service AND food in such a long time. Our server was friendly and attentive and even went to grab ice for us , without us asking, when my nephew baby bumped his head on the table. The food came quickly and was hot and delicious. I had fish and chips and my sister had sweet potatoe hash Benedict. No complaints at all. I hope this place sticks around. They are the example of what a good restaurant should be.Also the views out the windows in the dining room are really pretty overlooking the river.”
“You might drive past this place, as the outside doesn't really exude curb appeal...but that would be a mistake.Inside you'll find a warm welcome from people who know their comfort food inside out, and genuinely want you to enjoy your food. I only had breakfast, which was delivered fast and fresh, with hot coffee, but I'll be back for lunch or dinner, next time I'm in the area.”
“Friendly staff food is amazing prices are reasonable we got the well wood we also ordered the hobby farm and Tom swine club and the where all amazing I can't wait to try the rest of the ”
“Impressive three-man operation, Great to see some old-school hands-on craft brewing - and on equipment with some Vermont brewing history to boot. Super friendly too!”
“I’m a disabled Army Veteran and I came here because it’s convenient inside the resort. As soon as you walk in they make you feel like your home. They seat you and make sure your okay. The food comes out so fast. Marisa was my waitress and she goes above and beyond for her customs. The whole team there is amazing. I have eaten there twice and I’m back there Thursday and I’m bring my friend with me. The flatbread is amazing. I add the candy bacon on top of my flatbread. The chicken Cobb salad is so good. It’s the wings though my god they are soo good. Everything is fresh and made with lots of love. Check it out if you’re in town. Tell them Mo sent you. Highly recommend.”
“A wonderful little spot with good serving sizes and gluten-free options. It's in a large parking lot, so not much scenery to stroll as you eat, but otherwise a perfectly lovely little place.”
“Very nice little restaurant. Very limited hours. Limited menu, but still plenty of good stuff.Call ahead. They are small and can fill up.Chocolate mousse was amazing. Save room for dessert.”
“Great brewery and food. Always stop here on our way up Vermont. Good indoor seating and they have cool outdoor huts during the winter. Able to sample most of their beers and they have a store you can buy any of the ones you enjoy, along with other apparel. Food is always pretty good, nice comfort style and filling, the Vermonter is a favorite of mine. They also sometimes have a band playing.”
“Let me say how mad i am at this diner- im mad because I live in California and was visiting friends in Vermont 3 yrs ago who took me to this diner where I ordered the eggs Benedict. The hollande sauce was so incredible I have yet to find ANYWHERE that compares (statewide)3 yrs later I crave the amazing taste. I get disappointed each time now when I order eggs Benedict because of how amazing this diner made it. Its on ny bucket list to go back one more time. And the customer service was just as awesome.Thank you for giving me an experience that still sticks with me!”
“Probably my favorite little breakfast spot of all time. The waitress is sassy and the perfect blend of humorous and kind. Good food, good vibes, definitely recommend!”
“This deli was so good!! if you're in the area and want to grab something quickly this is the place to go. You can take food to go or you can sit down. They have ample seating, where you order upfront, and then sit on your own. The food was delicious and you can tell it was all fresh and from good sources. The service was super friendly and kind”
“I may be a bit biased because I know a few of the outstanding folks that work behind the scenes at this restaurant, but man do they work hard! A very cool old building with so much character, filled with people cooking & serving with lots of love, and a ton of homey small town folks filling the front bar area to greet you on your way to sit. The porch in the summer is also a huge plus!Dietary restrictions: Tons of gluten free options including pastas and bun swaps”
“This was one of the best subway experience we have encountered for awhile! We went into the store at the almost closing time and an older gentleman with glasses at the counter didn't mind at all. He welcomed us with a smile and an incredible attitude. He kept the station very clean. It was spotless! If you ever stop by, please make sure you try their raspberry cheesecake cookies! It was delicious.”
“It's a counter version of the Pizza franchise, so the seating accommodations are a little sparse; however, the pizza is just as incredible andcsuper FAST!!! I had no idea they were there in the gas-mart.”
“During our two week trip to New England we took a last minute side trip to Vermont and stayed at the Castle Hill Inn Resort & Spa and ate at its fine dining restaurant on a Tuesday night. We chose to eat in the elegant original dining room overlooking the back gardens. It was very romantic. The wine selection was delightfully more varied than what we had been experiencing in the region and the food and service were top notch. Sadly, because of the recent flooding, what used to be its second busiest season after skiing, now is awfully quiet. People are staying away from the area and we were only one of five couples to be eating there that night.”
“Feels like home. Small and dated, but clean and cozy! In the warmer months, there is outside seating, which is great. They have the best chicken and feta salad on earth! With their house dressing! Mmmm... and awesome pizza, subs, etc. Can't go wrong!”
“It was our first time there since we just moved to thr area and was very nice. The people were very sweet and the food was delicious. We'd definitely go again.”
“Great pizza, sandwiches, and lasagna, classic pizza parlor vibe with a recently upgraded arcade, and even friendlier people. If you're in town, you should definitely stop by for a bite.”

“The Texas burger was great and so was my milkshake! Definitely a nice stop. The burger was better than expected being a fast food type place, also really big. I've gotten ice cream there in the past and it's good enough to come back!Follow me on IG & TT for more food reviews: @thatvermontguy”
