“We came because it’s our son’s birthday and near our house. Didn’t really plan it out—just impromptu because it was supposed to snow and wanted to go ahead and get our son some birthday treats. Wow, what a great choice we made! Got a chocolate raspberry cake—which we’ll eat today—plum danish—and a strawberry shortcake with matcha icing (our 5y son picked lol) which was shaped like a Christmas tree and even had gold leaf and little pomegranates as ornaments. Best danish we’ve ever had plus they gave us an extra since it was near closing. Son loves the match dessert. We will be back!“

“I ordered up one of my favorites I get often in a lot of places.
Classic Caesar salad. It was quite impressive for the first 2/3rds of the salad and then the rest had far too much dressing. The last of the salad was soaked, saturated, and yucky. I'll order again but next time will ask for the dressing on the side as the dressing was quite good....just too much.“

“I was visiting the area and looked up GF foods. As I was leaving for my long trek home, I stopped at the bakery first and bought a bunch of items (on recommendation of another patron in the bakery). Absolutely every item I bought was amazing! My family got to try it all and agreed that everything tasted just like non-GF foods! (they don't usually like MY stuff). I now think I need to make another several hour drive just to stock my freezer!“

“This is my favorite restaurant in Burlington. The food, service, and atmosphere are all fantastic. It's casually elegant without being shishi. It's got a grotto-like atmosphere with string lighting that is perfect for a cozy evening. The food is fresh and changes seasonally.“

“Tomato Soup with Grilled Cheese Sandwich : The tomato soup was comforting and well-balanced, with a smooth texture and good acidity. It paired nicely with the grilled cheese, which was crisp on the outside and adequately melted inside. Overall, this was a satisfying and familiar lunch option.
Cold Sandwich with Tofu : The tofu sandwich was light and fresh, suitable for a plant-based option. The tofu itself could benefit from stronger seasoning or a more flavorful marinade to elevate the overall taste. Adding a contrasting sauce or pickled element may improve depth and balance.

“SUCH a great place! This is the BEST breakfast I have eaten in a long, long time! The food (eggs, hash browns, bacon) were all served piping hot for starters. In the past I have eaten hash browns that were soggy, limp and not even warm. These were crispy, proper temp and seasoned perfectly. Bacon was also cooked to perfection and the texture was just as it should be.. Scrambled eggs were delicious - not under or overcooked. Our almond croissant was flaky and complimented by the delicate almond flavor. Yum! Can't wait to try the maple blonde brownie for dessert tonight. ; )“

“My spouse and I order meals from Belleville Bakery at least twice a month. Shelley’s meals, including sandwiches, are unique and delicious, full of flavor. Her pastries and baked goods are exceptional. Sooooooo yummy! A few months ago, Shelley started offering Saturday brunch at the bakery: “bring friends and meet new people.” I’ve been curious about the brunch since its inception, so when Shelley announced a brunch in late September, I decided I’d celebrate my 76th birthday at Belleville. I was lucky enough to snag all ten reservations. I, my spouse, and eight of my very good friends enjoyed a glorious brunch at Belleville Bakery. We loved every bite of every dish on the brunch menu—not one flaw. Shelley is a superb chef and baker. She’s gracious and welcoming. We felt comfortable and at home. Thank you, Shelley, for one of the best birthday celebrations EVER! My birthday cake was beautiful. We had a wonderful morning. Thanks so much, Shelley and staff, for a memorable meal and morning. “We worked long distance with Abbey at Sugarsnap during the pandemic to plan our daughter's May 2021 wedding reception. She made everything incredibly easy and was available and timely with all of our questions. The menu options were expansive -- enough to meet the needs of all our guests with such variety. It was important to me that we highlight local ingredients, and that is simply a part of Sugarsnap's mission. Once the event finally arrived, we were anxious to sample the food after having planned for so long! We couldn't have been happier. The food was fresh, prepared and served so beautifully, and so delicious! Abbey and her staff were easy to work with -- professional but at the same time incredibly friendly and easygoing. The staff was also diligent about safety and comfort of the guests during the reception. We were glad they could be a part of our celebration, and I highly recommend them for yours!“

“Booked a table and was ready on time.Surpringingly Busy i think for a Wednesday.The waitress was great and you would think i would remember her name.She was very attentive but not over bearing.WE did eat near entrance bit didn't affect our dining experience.Food was delicious but oysters were a bit small but Tasty.That could be the way they come at this time of year.The food was very good and first time there.stayting at best western and Restaurat is like 1 minute walk.Will be back as my wife is a patient UVM.Would laos go by myself has a good atmosphere.Might sit at the car if by meslef.Thanks for the great meal and great service,“

“We have been coming here since 1986 when it was a tiny spot that let us teenagers sit and drink coffee all day. They are one of Burlington’s oldest and most loved restaurants, known for their early bird Bistro dinner that serves French classics like Beef Bourgignon, Steak Frites and even gluten free Cavatappi Carbonara. Tonight it was snowing hard and the restaurant was still full and the service was terrific. It’s our go-to place for the last 35 years and I’m grateful they are still around.“

“Pizza is good, prices are nice compared to other places around. Someone said it is like the domino's of Burlington. That makes sense to me. I only tried cheese pizza and breadsticks. I like the marina dipping sauce they use. We got take-out so I can't rate much else. It serves for a good late night snack too. ?“

“This restaurant has been our favorite for 20 years! We go several times a year and have never, ever had a bad experience. The staff is so knowledgeable and top notch. The food is superb (especially the sesame chicken dumplings and dry fried green beans…..and the cauliflower….and the lemon shrimp…..and if there’s any fish specials….)“

I represent a club on the university campus and specifically wanted to call out their delivery driver David Shapiro; an absolute professional. When he called me to let us know he was here with our order, he knew off the bat exactly where on campus to go; we found him first try. They should send him on all orders that go to the UVM campus.“
