“No-frills Mediterranean gyro spot with DELICIOUS garlic paste. It’s in the name, Garlic Crush, so if you are a garlic lover like me, make sure you order something that includes the garlic paste/dip/puree. I, unfortunately, did not, but luckily my dining partner had some that I was able to try! The lentil soup that is available by request with the plates is a must. So flavorful and warming. It really piques the appetite and readies the stomach for a hearty meal. Quick service, low key spot. Would recommend, especially to garlic lovers.“

Everything is Halal, so you know that the animals were treated humanely. There are also vegan options. Everything was divine, I was happily surprised to find a new twist on some of my favorites. “I'm mad my friend didn't show me this spot earlier!!! For starters, we had the mezze platter. It came with dolmas (so good!! Perfect marriage of rice and spices!), tzatziki (so fresh! The mint...yum!!), baba ganoush (with a smokey hint), hummus (so fresh!!), tabouli (best ive had in a long time! It was not overwhelming with parsley... super enjoyable. So good we got orders to go!), and the piyaz (a chilled white bean salad with ginger root, onion, tomato, EVOO, and garlic...so good we got orders to go!). Entrees we had the mesopotamian lamb and beef (the stew was so comforting..like a hug. The lamb was so tender!), and the lamb chops (love the rosemary and garlic!) For dessert...freshhhhh baklava, freshest ive had. It had just been made. It was so perfect! It's not so heavy compared to the normal baklava with honey that Im used too. Looks like I have a new favorite Mediterranean spot to go to!!! The staff was great. The food was amazing.“

“The owner is incredibly personable and is very involved with his restaurant. His staff is very attentive and have excellent customer service skills. I chose a faster made food, the Chicken Kabob (recommended by the owner) and there was nothing that made it feel rushed or made cheap even though the price was amazing for the amount of food that came about 10 mins after ordering. BEST DARN KABOB I'VE EVER HAD IN SEATTLE. I'm sad I didn't try this place out when I lived in the neighborhood 10 yrs ago. I'd be a lot fatter by now...“

“Fabulous flavors and great spicing. Had lamb shawarma and the lamb/beef, both great. Baba ganush clearly freshly made and tangy. The owner came around and chatted with us, too; they import ingredients from abroad and it definitely tastes like it, especially for the baba ganush. Also, their juices are lovely and fresh, and the chai tea is also well spiced.“

“I really like their gyros sandwich. Ingredients are always fresh. The sandwiches are so flavorful and juicy. Their fries are always freshly cooked when ordered and they are delicious. Definitely try their pickles! This is one of my goto place for lunch if I am near by.“

I wish I still lived down the street but weve made the 1hr+ drive a couple times. We have been trying to find a replacement but nothing compares.

“What a lovely restaurant! I ordered food online and picked up in person. As I entered the restaurant, there was loud upbeat music playing and I could see all workers work at a crisp pace in the open kitchen. The staff greeted me quickly and wrapped my food promptly and carefully (thank you!). I ordered a chicken rice plate and french fries, both of which had super generous portions. The chicken rice was especially delicious, with lots of herbs, and looked very appetizing. I will be sure to come back and try other things on the menu.“

“Surprising unexpected delight by the side of a busy road with not a lot of foot traffic between Swedish Hospital and Virginia Mason! I think more could be done with the decor, and it was understaffed, but the food was AMAZING! I can see why it is so highly rated - the meat is perfectly bribed or seasoned or whatever magic they do to make it tender and infused with flavor throughout. We had the Gyro plate and the Beef Shwarma plate along with the Baba Ganoush - each was excellent in their own way, and the garlic dressing in the accompanying salads is to kill for. “The food is delicious . Everything is made with pride . It’s all fresh and made in house . Since it’s fresh and made to order , you will have to wait . It is worth it . I highly recommend the Greek french fries , amazing. Also I would not skip the chai tea or baklava, both so good. Friendly family business that appreciates its customers. The only thing I did not like was not their fault . Customers constantly talking loudly on cell phone , incredibly annoying ringers going off from multiple phones, some very loud voices . It’s a tiny place with close tables so hear everything. It has lovely lighting from beautiful lamps and is nicely decorated. I just wish some of the customers more considerate .“

“Grabbed a beef and lamb Gyro + Greek Fries for lunch with 2 typed of their Baklava.

Overall the Gyro and Fries were both good in flavor and a generous amount. The Baklava on the other hand was not to my liking. I found both to be heavily soggy on their bottoms with Honey and not very crispy through the layers . The serving size of the Pistachio variety was also a little on the smaller side“

“This place is absolutely wonderful! The staff are always so welcoming and personable and truly make an exemplary gyro. My favorite dish is definitely the classic gyro as well as the dinner platter, i’m also a big salad girl and they make excellent salads! Truly something for everybody here and they will always serve you with a smile on their face! Open late is a plus, and i’ve definitely got more than a few late night snacks from here!“

“Delicious Arab style falafel- super crispy, good balance of ingredients, pita was fresh and the whole thing had the perfect flavor! I accidentally ordered from a different location and showed up here and the man working there was very kind and decided to make my order for me even though it was already ready at the other spot. Totally didn’t have to do that but so sweet of him and makes an impression!
The atmosphere is what I expected for a quick and affordable bite to eat; space to sit, no frills and that’s fine by me. :)“

If I have one gripe, it's the parking, but the location doesn't lend itself to resolving that and, besides, that's got nothing to do with the proprietors or the food and service they provide. If you've never had Somali food and you're interested, but not sure where to start, give this place a try. A good try. Go out of your way to come here. It's that good.“
