“If you’re near Woodenville, Washington definitely make plans to stop at McMenamins Anderson School in Bothel, Washington. It’s a former school tranformed into a unique Hotel Complex. There’s a movie theater, swimming pool, tiki lounge, restaurant, sports bar (the woodshed), a whisky shed and gift shop. Elanha was the hostess for the Woodshed and she spoiled us from the time we arrive until we left. Her Customer Service was Outstanding!! An Amazing, Fun Stay!!! You Won’t be Disappointed!! The Anderson School Location is also near Wine Tasting Country:) Have Fun!!“

“I absolutely love this place. It is one of my go-to spots in Bothell for consistent quality and service. The food and drinks are excellent. I have been there at every hour of the day and highly recommend all of their menus.“

“The Jamaican rice bowl was amazing amd the drinks were really good. The mojito actually had fresh lime juice in it which doesn't happen at other restaurants!

“This is more like a fancy bar with food, they have a huge list of liquor to choose from. We came here for dinner and the food was very good. It's a little bit on the pricier side but priced well for the quality.

We had a number of appetizers including salads, truffle fries, oysters, and steamed clams. The salads were excellent, the truffle fries were good, and the seafood was very good and fresh.

I ordered the black cod for my entree and it was cooked just right (not overcooked), with excellent flavor. Although the food was not Michelin star quality, it's a good solid four stars for food quality, and surprisingly good for this type of venue.

The service was great, the waitress was very friendly and came around often enough so that we never had to go looking for her. We had a people for dinner and they put us in a back room where it was private and quiet, very nice.

This is a great venue for a business dinner, but probably not the best for young kids given the liquor theme.“

I haven't seen anyone in this city using timers or weights for their espresso which I always saw in my favorite Tokyo cafes.“

“I'm a little puzzled by this place. It purports to be inspired by the Japanese bar experience, which it mimics in seating and overall number of folks it can seat. (They also have a phenomenal washlet in the bathroom.) In terms of staff, the folks who work there are knowledgeable and provide friendly and timely service. However, no bartwnder in Japan will batch their cocktails. The cocktail selection here is great - but they're pre-prepped in Erlenmeyer flasks. Not disappointed, just a bit confused. “We had such a great experience at Purple Café for my son’s 10th birthday dinner! We had a group of ten-year-old kids, and the staff couldn’t have been more accommodating. They were so kind, patient, and organized, which made it easy for all of us parents to actually relax and enjoy the evening.

I really appreciated that they offered a kids’ menu — it had great choices, and the food came out quickly, hot, and nicely presented. The kids loved it, and the servers even took the time to make sure everyone got exactly what they ordered. You could tell they genuinely cared about making the night go smoothly.

The adults ordered from the main menu, and everything was delicious. The food was fresh and beautifully done, and the wine list was great. Service was excellent from start to finish attentive but never rushed, which can be rare with a big group.

“For over 20 years we have enjoyed every meal on the menu. They are the only restaurant that I know that make their own pastas, sauces, bread, and desserts. What a difference that makes. Everything is fresh tasting and satisfying. The meatballs are so light and tasty, eat them slowly to enjoy every bite. Not only are their pastas and pizzas delicious so are their appetizers. I love how they roast their eggplant and they serve it in an incredibly rich tomato sauce with Gorgonzola on the side. The prices are the menu are set so that you don't really save any money by ordering a larger size, so order the size you think you can finish.

As of October 2025 there is also a food option on the right side of the store that is selling fried chicken.

There really shouldn't be a tipping option as you are ordering at the counter.“

I tell ya I fly from my home in Asia just to try this and my goodness this restaurant is a required stop EVERYTIME I fly into Seattle now. It is rare to find a restaurant where everything is made in house. The owner Pam is a sweetheart, I felt at home in the restaurant. Trust, you need to go. Most friendly and talented barkeep making exquisite concoctions such as the clarified passion punch 🤤 We ordered lunch from next door restaurant Von 1000’s and our barkeep came to check on us and offered utensils in case they weren’t included. So very thoughtful service! The establishment is super pup friendly too! My dog enjoyed an amazing pup cup 🐾 plus a large bowl of water was brought out as soon as we had our water as well. Can’t wait to return to try out more amazing cocktails!“

“Absolutely horrible experience. Couldn't get the room serviced for 3 days despite speaking to both housekeeping and management. Mansged to get fresh towels at ten at night but they didnt take the old ones so we had 3 days worth of towels in the room .Had to get onto booking.com . Had to be out of the room by 12 so housekeeping could come in but returned every day to nothing having been done . When it was finally done ON THANKSGIVING we weren't given any toilet roll . Then I find out there's NO COFFEE in the bar ,only decaff , despite there being supposed to be a 24hour nespresso pod machine available to the bar. It's SEATTLE for Christs sake . Multiple rooms leaving trash in the Hall due to lack of housekeeping. Theres supposed to ne drinks vouchers given per night staying couldnt get those either .Absolutely HIDEOUS experience and still stuck here for two days .“

“Cute little bar, and one of the few spots in the area that serves food past 9 pm. However, my main takeaway is that they're mostly a bar which also happens to serve a few food items. They have plenty of drinks, though all their non-alcoholic options are premade—no mocktails or anything. They seem to have table service, but I ended up ordering at the bar after no one came to take my order for a while.

As for food, their smoked mackerel fish tin, which comes with crackers, pickled vegetables, and house-made crème fraîche, is a must-get. The salty fish and crackers balance perfectly with the sour veggies and creamy topping.

Their baguette sandwich is a little disappointing. The flavor rotates weekly, so maybe some weeks are better, but mine was just some turkey, cheese, jalapeños, and mayo. It was pretty dry and chewy; I wouldn't recommend it.

Luckily I came on a Wednesday which is pie night! So I got a delicious slice of blueberry plum crumble pie with homemade whipped cream. I'd definitely recommend trying to snag some pie on a Wednesday!

Overall, this isn't a place I'd recommend for dinner, but it's a great spot to share some drinks and snacks with friends.“

“We stumbled on the Chandelier Lounge Saturday night just exploring broadway. The area is defrosted super nicely and the theme of the chandelier’s are very well done.

The drinks are super good and well crafted and our food was also super good.

“The owner is incredibly personable and is very involved with his restaurant. His staff is very attentive and have excellent customer service skills. I chose a faster made food, the Chicken Kabob (recommended by the owner) and there was nothing that made it feel rushed or made cheap even though the price was amazing for the amount of food that came about 10 mins after ordering. BEST DARN KABOB I'VE EVER HAD IN SEATTLE. I'm sad I didn't try this place out when I lived in the neighborhood 10 yrs ago. I'd be a lot fatter by now...“
