“I have only been here two times as I moved to the area right before the government stole the freedom of Americans to move about freely... that being said, this visit - IN PERSON - was excellent! Matt, the bartender answered several questions and made a couple suggestions. I went with one of them (Carnitas and Scratch Margarita) and was pleasantly impressed with both! The crowd was fun, the staff was doing an excellent job (having been in the industry for 24 years myself) taking care of the business and caring for the clients. Thank you and I WILL be back again!“

“We had dinner at Thirsty Hop in Kirkland and really enjoyed everything we ordered! We tried several different dishes, and they were all delicious.

The grilled boiled squid was especially memorable — so flavorful and perfectly cooked! I honestly wish I had taken pictures because there were so many good dishes on the table.

Everything tasted fresh and well prepared, and we had such a nice time. I’ll definitely be back to try more of the menu. Highly recommend!“

“I first heard about Kanishka's Des Moines location through a friend who saw somebody raving about it in a Seattle foodies group here on FB. My friend and I went to check it out and, well, it's my new favorite restaurant. I've been here 3 times and Door Dashed it once in the past month. The food every time has been absolutely fantastic, and the portion size are quite generous. The appetizers are almost entree-sized; the first time I went there with a friend, we filled up on appetizers and had to get our entrees to go. Dish recommendations: Chicken 65 and Fish Pakoras for appetizers; Mixed Grill, Lamb Vindaloo, and Paneer Korma entrees. Also, listen to your host as it seems like they're always trying out new dishes that haven't made it onto the menu yet.“

“Lunch at Mox Bellevue today—and what a surprise. I wasn’t there to game, just catching up with friends passing through. But the space? Total standout. Art Deco vibes, cozy booths, and a game store that feels more like a boutique hotel lounge. I had the Golden Curry & Tofu—Japanese-style curry over rice with potatoes, carrots, tofu, and pickled vegetables. Warm, flavorful, and exactly what I was in the mood for. My friends ordered the Sausage & Pepper Rotini and left just as happy. The only curveball? No mocktails listed on the menu. When I asked, our server looked a little unsure but offered to make a virgin Momotaro with ginger, peach, mint, lemon, and ginger beer. It was fantastic—definitely worth ordering again. Still, a mocktail section on the menu wouldn’t hurt. After lunch I wandered through the shop and ended up picking out a couple of games for our next game night. Couldn’t resist. All in all, a great lunch, great space, and a solid reminder to check out places that mix things up. Overall fun spot. So happy we found this place. Would happily return. “Blazing Onion is one of our local burger places. It's very kid friendly, but also has a nice bar. They have an annoying policy of having you place your order at the door before getting a table. Not that big of a deal if you know what you want. If I don't have the kids in tow, I just sit in the bar. Food is good. Desserts are huge. Service is generally good. Shannon is a great bartender, and has my favorite drink dialed in. Definitely worth a visit.“

“The taco salad is amazing... it comes with (sour cream & cheese) but I removed the sour cream & cheese and got ranch instead. It was really good, the chicken in the taco salad is never over cooked but obviously you can choose your own meat.“

“We are from out of town and were looking for a little spot to grab a Bloody Mary before we start a long day of baseball. We stumbled this place and glad we did. Great service from Jacob, excellent Bloody Mary and delish hot puffs 🤤 We will definitely be back when we are in the area again!“
