“Rented the party room a few weeks ago to celebrate my dads 60th birthday. Had close to 50 people and the staff was absolutely amazing. Food came out in a timely manner and everyone loved what they got. This was my first time and a lot of others at prairie tavern and we were all super impressed. Can't wait to go back and try other menu items!“

“I just popped in to place an order to go. Was going to do that in the bar, but apparently they do a sound check for the band at 5pm on Saturdays. So, I went in to the actual restaurant. Told the hostess what I wanted to do and she sat me at a table. . . . .She didn’t bother to tell anyone I was there and finally one of the waitresses noticed me and promptly took care of me. So, next time I just won’t go at 5pm during sound check so I can get in and out quicker.“

The back smoking area was nice. the owner had decorated very well with all the beer signs around the fenced area. This is my second time to the bar. Very consistent as far as service goes. Steak was the perfect med well, bearnais was so good I drizzled some on top of my asparagus too. Although the aesthetics are quaint with simple plating, it was clean with a very friendly energy. They serve food at the bar or on the Cafe side. It's a small space, but so worth the trip. The owner herself makes the best augratin potatoes which is offered as a side with the meal. They also offer a crab cake topped filet mignon for only $2 more.Pricing for filet mignon dinner was only $23. Rolls were also served at the table. This really is a great value for good food!!! This was on a Saturday when they also serve prime rib. I will definitely try that next visit!!!“

Not bad just not great.The vibe and buzz at Hudson s is good and definitely a plus.All in all ...come for the vibes and the service . “The beer was amazing, huge selection. The French dip was good, the meat was a tiny bit gristley but tasty. The chicken sandwich was very good, and while the fried coating slid off the chicken, the flavor and texture were delicious. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was very cool. It was nice that they had the basketball game sound on for part of the time we were there.“

“It's usually eh, for the most part. It's hit or miss when you go there although you get some pretty different crowd in there as well. You just never know what it's going to turn out to be like. There is pool though if you want to play pool. They keep their tables pretty nice and have a DJ.“

“Maybe a year ago I see this dude that goes by Mexi Papa, who is often with Mark Weins in the SW and Mexico, go to Las Islas En Ponchos and put it on YouTube. Been on my list ever since. Since then, my expectation was that I was going to be head over heels like Tears for Fears for the shrimp empanadas with queso. They were delicious, however...I did not imagine that I was going to eat the best crab I've ever had. The patas de jaiba has this butter garlic chili...just GOTdamn ridiculously tasty sauce with sliced red onions all over the plate. When you get a good chunk of crab out of there and spoon some of that sauce and onions on it, it's just so damn satisfying. Best crab ever. Even better than BBQ versions I've had. I was so full that I only really tasted the fajitas that I got, which were absolutely awesome in their own right. I just didn't have enough room and my wife also loves fajitas so that was a good take home anyway. The michelada was pretty standard and tasty, but the mangoneada was top notch. They use mango puree and blend it with ice and that's what makes it great, rather than just using juice or some mix. Good dose of chamoy in and on the glass with a tajin rim..great drink that comes with or without alcohol. This place is largely a seafood restaurant in Nayarit fashion, a small Mexican state just north of Puerto Vallarta, but you can get this food on 4th Plain.The band was supposed to start at 7:30, but didn't start until 8 so I only caught the opening, but they've been advertising a band once a week on their Facebook page so keep an eye out if you care. It is LOUD in there though so be warned. And just because I feel like throwing something random in here and also because Linda Ronstadt has become popular again because of The Last of Us and her music brings back memories of my mother, many people don't know that she is half Mexican and had a very successful career across the border. “Had the chicken strips end fries, we also ordered the mozzarella sticks. The chicken strips were more like chicken fingers, and the breading was bland. The fries were way undercooked, and we didn't eat them. The mozzarella sticks were good, and we would order them again. I would not get the chicken strips and fries again. Service was good. I only saw 1 bartender, and she was keeping up and very friendly, especially since there were a lot of people there.They have a ton of oil tables, I also saw dart boards for those who like to play darts.The parking lot is a nightmare.
