“Wonderful coffee shop I pass through on my way to work. I get the huckleberry energizer with pink lotus and it is delicious. They serve it up with a gummy worm which is fun and unique. They have wonderful service, and the huckleberry drink is a fave!“

“Really excellent matcha latte. Hand whisked to order and they use Mizuba. The barista was very kind and excited with how verdant this matcha order was. This was the best matcha latte I’ve had in a long while - very balanced, whisked so well, actually had a great matcha flavor instead of tasting mostly like milk. Would recommend and come back again. Also had the earl grey cookie and it was really delicious.“

They have vegetarian choices and some nice gluten free pastries that are all made on the premises. It’s really cute and clean. The staff is friendly and quick to make you feel welcome. I live really close to it and I highly recommend it. It is in the previous chase bank on SE 84th and 137th. Easy access from Padden Parkway. Give it a try. You won’t be disappointed. 🥰“

“OK. Cariño. What a place. The owner makes every customer feel special. Her name is Melissa and all I can say is, “Thank you.” She made us both feel right at home. She co-owns the place with her sister. All the food is clean (no preservatives, etc.). The sodas in the fridge are clean. They make their own tortillas, their own hot sauce (her dad’s recipe), their own horchata . . . and their philosophy is, “Would I feed this food to my family at home?” The atmosphere is fun. There are cacti and plants everywhere, and there’s fun art on the walls. The wifi is more than fast enough (290 mbps if I remember correctly). The bathrooms are clean. There are several small places where you can feel intimate. I love the couch/chairs and little round table near the front. Their mocha flights—you have to try them. They’re a little spendy at $17, but they include four Mexican Mochas (cardamom, orange, habañero, and . . . I can’t remember). But get the flight, get the avocado toast, sit with a friend, and really FEEL the downtown Vancouver coffee shop vibe. I can’t say enough good things about Cariño. Oh yes, on Thursday and Friday nights they transform into a wine bar, serving specialty wine flights (also $17 if I remember correctly). The wines are from Mexico and the vibe is distinctly different from the daytime vibe. I can’t wait to try their “After Hours” experience myself. All in all, five stars. A must-visit. “Always a great cup of coffee. Both the employees and owners take effort and learn the name of the customer beyond just the type of drink they normally buy. I’ve seen when the owner’s find a shot brewed substandard; they’ve dumped it at their own cost in favor of getting it right. It’s a small thing, but it says a lot. They care for their coffee and for their customers. 10/10“

“The workers are always super friendly and I've liked every single drink they've made so far. The green tea matcha's are delicious and so are the latte's. “One of the best coffees I’ve ever had! I had the ube coffee — SO good! It was pricey, $7.40 + $1 tip for a regular size but after tasting it, I knew why. The inside of the cafe itself could use some help but I know they’re new so I can’t wait to see what they do with it.

I do wish there were more tables here (there are only two small/low tables), I’d absolutely be bringing my homework to do here.“

“What a delight to find this gem a few minutes from my neighborhood! I enjoyed a beautiful Chai Tea Latte with oat milk and a delicious Marionberry scone. The owner was friendly and shared a little about their history in La Center while he made my tea. Looking forward to taking my daughter when she visits!“

“This place is super cute and trendy, with friendly staff and an as-expected coffee house menu. It’s always really busy! I like that they have a drive through.

One thing to note is there is no difference in the number of espresso shots you receive between a medium or a large. The large is $1 more than the medium, but the only difference is you are getting more milk or water (depending on your drink) in the large. Because of that we never go here, we don’t want to pay for extra shots in a large when they should typically have 3 shots anyway, and already do at other establishments.“

Not only because their coffee is some of the best I've had & always consistent, but the ladies who work there are all super sweet & they put so much effort into remembering their customers & providing great service! From my first visit when I moved to Battle Ground over 3 years ago, to every visit since (which is nearly every day), I've never had a bad experience. I feel like that says a ton!
