We enjoyed our Seafood Ragu, bone in pork chop, braised beef Mac n cheese, fried green tomatoes with the house made Ricotta, and more. And topped it off with a strawberry Mojito. Ordered the fruity French toast. 3 big thick slices of bread, with fresh fruit and homemade whipped cream The bread only had egg wash on one side, as if they poured the egg on the flattop and set the bread on it, As these were thick slices, the rest of it was just dry bread. Not what we expected. We thought it would be dipped and covered in egg. The silverware is the basic stamped out cafeteria style utensils and takes away from the overall experience of this otherwise homey ambience.“

Despite the sign on the door displaying their hours as being open, the lights were on, the place was empty, and the doors were still locked. We left and decided to take a chance going to the family pancake house just up the street. Though it seemed early to me on a Saturday morning (9:15 am) the place was buzzing, there were bright eyes, smiling faces, and tables filling with people of all ages from small children to seniors. There was no wait, as the seating is plenty. Our server was a familiar, friendly face and we felt welcome to be there. The menu had many delicious options and was accommodating to my dietary restrictions. Everything about this place made me love Port Orchard that much more. And instead of leaving a poor review for the other restaurant, I felt compelled to leave a raving one here instead!“

“Edit: taking down 1 star out of frustration with the take-out/Doordash option. The pick-up shelf is right by the front door, where orders are often mixed up, if not outright stolen. Please make pick-up more secure. It’s frustrating to have to wait 2x time for my order to be started over.

5*! My family loves the apple pancake, and I love the Dutch baby, especially with cinnamon sugar. These take extra time to make but worth the wait.“
