“An authentic little piece of Oaxaca in Wenatchee!

We recently visited Fonda Oaxaqueña in East Wenatchee and were delighted with the quality and authenticity of their Mexican food. I ordered the chicken with Oaxacan mole, and it was a delicious experience. The dish came with half a chicken topped with a rich, authentic mole that evoked the traditional flavors of Oaxaca. The accompanying rice was just as authentic, with a flavor rarely found in Mexican restaurants in the United States, and the beans were perfectly prepared. The large, warm, soft tortillas complemented the dish perfectly.

For his part, Fernando ordered the meat fajitas, and was very satisfied with the quality and preparation. The meat was tender and well seasoned, accompanied by a complete side dish that included salad, rice, beans, cream and guacamole. Everything was well presented and in generous portions.

We found the price reasonable considering the quality of the dishes and the exceptional service. The waiter was very friendly and attentive, which made the experience even more pleasant. In addition, the atmosphere of the place is charming, with details such as the hand-painted wooden Mexican chairs that provide an authentic and cozy touch.

Definitely, when we return to Wenatchee, Fonda Oaxaqueña will be a mandatory stop to enjoy this excellent food again.“

“I’m extremely satisfied with my recent delivery! I have the flu and ordered a sandwich in hopes I would be able to actually eat lol. Before I knew it, it was being delivered to my porch. Seemed like 5 min. It was delivered to my porch as I asked in the comments because I didn’t want to risk getting anyone else sick. “We stopped at the public market to walk the river and stretch our legs on our 7 hour drive back home from Spokane. We chose SOUTH to grab a snack. We didn't have a big appetite so we ordered guacamole with chips and salsa. Everything was rich in color and smell. I really enjoyed the mix of flour and perfectly seasoned corn chips. Both the red and green salsa choices were delicious. The guacamole was a little chunky, as it should be. What stood out was the freshness and quality of ingredients. My nine year old and I agree we had the best snack ever. Our server was really awesome and explained food sources and confirmed the tastiness we experienced was due to exceptional care for providing quality food. Then he said our bill was on him! ❤️ I've forgotten our new friend's name but I hope he knows how special we felt from his generosity and excellent service. We definitely can't wait to go back for full menu orders.“

“We are in town for the long weekend and have already been here twice. We have loved everything here including the torta, elote, horchata, mango smoothie with the tamarind stick and the best was the quesabirrias, only available on the weekend. Order the largest size of anything you get; leftovers are good too!! The family is wonderful and helpful with the menu! “Ok, beer, great, ambiance, great, food.... fantastic, great, burgers feel like they were cooked by your buddy who has a backyard bbq that costs more than your mortgage, but the CHICKEN, sweet mercy, they serve tenders and bites in massive chunks of the most tender chicken you've ever had at a bar, coated in a minimal layer of seasoned batter. Lets be honest, you get chicken tenders and expect tons of batter, more batter than chicken most times, disappointing, but the chef here understands that batter is a shell for the delicious chicken.“

The bartender was excellent, offering his suggestion for exactly what I told I wanted to imbibe after a long run. The brew was so tatsty I had to go and fetch my wife to come back for another one. We ordered a pizza to soak up the brews and even if you don’t drink this spot is worth just for the phenomenal slices. Atmosphere is excellent, service is too notch, the flavors are outstanding. They are crazy and don't know what good food is. Being from Texas this was the best place to eat. Go to Denny's I highly recommend. The waiters and waitress are friendly, fast and courteous.
