“A friend recommended this place to me and I am so glad I stopped in for some loaves on Saturday. Don was wonderful and offered me a sourdough sample to munch on while he answered all my questions about flavors and how long the bread keeps. I couldn’t decide between two types, and after listening to the mouthwatering descriptions of the baking process and recommendations for pairing them, I decided to get both. I do not regret this. My household will be eating rosemary garlic bread with pasta and making breakfast sandwiches on black pepper parmesan bread all week. YUM! The chocolate chip cookies and sweet brioche buns were delicious too. We will definitely be back for more!“
“Christina was so kind, communicative, and accommodating to my short notice custom order of cookies for my friends surprise bday party! She truly made the ordering and pick up process so easy for me, even coming from out of state. I would even say that she went above and beyond to help me make this happen. Despite my order being small, I felt like there was just as much care and consideration put into it as I would expect a larger order to receive. 10/10 recommend, thank you Bon Appetina's for helping make my friends birthday a little extra special!“
“We were looking for a bakery to get good whole grain bread. You know the homemade bread with 12 grains and good rye, that is better than the institutionalized bread. So as my go to guide I yelped it! And up popped Kusher Bakery. You know I had to go and today we went there. It's an Eastern European bakery, and grocery store with products from multiple Eastern Europe countries. The selections are very good and then there is the bread baked daily except on Sunday. A bonus is the fact all the fresh baked bread can be sliced for you or you can take it home and slice it yourself. Having this service is great. Dark rye, 12-grain, and others that are....... well too many and all looked delicious. There is fresh baked Lavash, soft and delicious and many of the breads were still warm and fresh. The fresh piroshki! Awesome to say the least, Chicken, Cheese, Cabbage, and Apricot were available and hot. Look you can go to the other market on 70th and get very good stuff and pay quite a lot more, or go to Kusher and get a better selection and pay reasonable prices. Yes it is smaller but bigger is not always better and having this small place is a positive. For me Kusher wins hands down. So go, look around and get some awesome stuff.“
“The place for bagels in Tacoma! We come to pick up 2 bagel sands each time we visit from Honolulu! Bagels are well made, fillings are generous and flavors are on spot. Only issue? There's always a line so go early on a weekday. Line's part of the charm I guess and the place has tons of personality!Parking: Go early for parking and no line.“
“Stopped on my way back from an early morning trip to Vashon, very convenient place in the heart of Old Town Tacoma and just up the street from Ruston Way, extremely comfortable environment with a quick and attentive staff. Highly recommend.“
“I tried the coconut cupcake today and oh my God, it’s one of the best cupcakes I’ve had. The flavor is amazing. The whipped frosting is just right, light and satisfying. I can’t want to try other flavors and order a cake for my daughter’s 5th birthday coming in May. I’m so happy someone recommended I try Love by the Slice.“
“Shockingly good. I was legitimately surprised by the quality, especially considering the reasonable prices. The coffee was actually good too! Easiest five star ever.Note that they do run out of biscuits at some point everyday. If they do, I'd suggest grabbing cheesecake at the least as it was also fantastic! Will absolutely go again!“
“Every time I come here, my experience has been absolutely phenomenal. The atmosphere is created by both patrons and employees and you could just hang all day!The artwork as well as the food capture the eye right away!Ive only ever had their cinnamon roll but it is THE most delicious cinnamon roll ive ever had in my life (and i love cinnamon rolls) it doesnt overwhelm and they are MASSIVE & affordable ❤️We drove all the way from Oregon JUST to get a cinnamon roll :)Give. Me. An. Excuse. My partner and I recommend this place forevermore!!“
“First time getting a cake and I will from now on get all of my celebration cakes from here. Beautiful presentation. Cake is moist, soft, not too sweet or overpowering. Frosting is fluffy cream cheese and perfect. Staff treated me excellent, especially Lexy, she was very professional, attentive and patient.“
“This is a hidden gem. Despite its location in one of the rougher areas of Tacoma, this donut shop is 100% worth the visit. I recommend going in the morning because they do sell out of top sellers pretty quick (for good reason). I've never been disappointed here and I'm sure you won't be either.“
“Hidden gem in Auburn! I was in a pinch on Pi Day last year and stopped by hoping to find a decent pie to share at work but instead struck gold! The berry pie was top-notch-5-star delicious and enough alone to keep me coming back for more. I've been back many times since and always happy to see a new selection of scrumptious pastries, sweets and savories. The bakery is small, so no space to sit and enjoy your treats but the trade-off is real hombaked goodness. Prices are reasonable and staff are friendly.“
“I've been wanting to try this place for awhile and looking forward to coming back. I split a mango tart topped with fresh fruit with my partner and it was so delicious! I also grabbed two chocolate cookies that my child loved. Service was nice and fast.“
“I can't believe this gem was only 15 mins away from me the entire time I've lived in Washington. My daughter and I stumbled in last Saturday and ordered essentially one of everything. The cupcakes were delicious. I will definitely come back for birthday cakes because their designs were beautiful and very affordable.“
“Was looking for a little post-workout sweet treat and found this place. Being so close to post, I don’t know how I’ve never seen it. When I looked at the Malassadas on the Google page, I couldn’t believe that they were only 1.50 each! I’ve been to Seattle for them multiple times and they’ve been anywhere from 3.50-6 per. They were fantastic; soft with just the right amount of filling and not too sweet. The soft chocolate chip cookie was also incredible. They had so much good looking stuff, can’t wait to try more!! Thank you ?“
“The little lady working the shop was friendly and fast. Prices were good. Donuts were exceptionally tasty. All types. Really surprising. It's a hole in the wall mom 'n pop shop, so it's not flashy. But the food is worth it.Parking: There are 4 or 5 parking spots right up against the building. Otherwise you'll need to park along the street. It's located right next to a neighborhood.“
“This is an authentic Argentine bakery/eatery. Support your local small business and try and taste of what Argentina has to offer! Owned by a very kind hearted man who really is a master of his craft. I recommend trying his sandwiches like the original Choripan! He makes authentic chimichurri not like other places that don’t no what they are doing. Milanesa de carne or de pollo I also recommend. As well as his Empanadas which I love!“
“My friend and I meet here every few weeks for Saturday breakfast and to catch up. We love the food and coffee. However, the music is ridiculously loud and heavy metal is not condusive to visiting. It's hard to talk and actually hear what is being said. We hate to find a new place but, this morning was exceptionally nerve wracking. Does not make for a relaxing, enjoyable place to hang out.“
“Went for afternoon tea today. Had the "Champagne of Tea" and Fruity Tootie (sweet). both teas were great. Beware the scones we received had raisins in them, I was told the children's would be chocolate chip and I was under the impression the adults were plain but the children's had golden raisins and the adults had regular and golden raisins. FYI the english store is no longer there. Apparently it's been gone for a year but I didn't know. I specially went to this tea room for that as my mother is from England and I wanted to surprise her. So that kinda of sucked. The server stated they plan to hopefully bring it back by no eta. Service was decent and food was good. The room had some Harry Potter candles and decor but the setting is just black furniture with white table cloths and white dishes. If you're looking for more flowery or different vibe there are some other tea rooms in the area that will provide that.“
“The double choc mint marshmallow pie and the crack pie were some of the best my family and I have ever had. The texture of the chocolate pie was amazing. The crack pie I can see why it’s called that. It makes you keep wanting more. I loved them both and Brianne was very communicative. Can’t wait to place more orders for birthdays and holidays! I also picked up some scones that were bomb and perfect for Christmas morning.“
“This is the outlet store for pretty much all the bread companies in the area. You won't get better prices on 99% of the bread sold here. They have a bargain wall of items close to best by dates and fresh items for regular price. I love they also give free items with minimum purchases. Spent $18 tonight and got two types of bagels free. A bag of mini bagels and a sleeve of Cheddar Onion Garlic bagels. Those won't last to see the best by date on Monday. Items vary daily and some days they run out.You can even get restaurant pack breads here. Some of your favorite bread served at restaurants is here. Cheap. This is NOT a restaurant. Not sure why google has it listed as one.“
“From my wedding to anniversaries, birthdays and just because, Celebrity Cake Studio has been our first choice since 2011. The latest occasion was my husband's 50th birthday. I ordered the 8" Golden Ombré (blackberry cake). As with previous orders, it was a hit! Customer service is always top tier. They are the friendliest people. Stop by...just do it.“
“Picked up a couple of the Vietnamese special sandwiches. The sandwich shop is quite small, there is a counter to sit/wait & 1 table. They offer different types of banh mi sandwiches, that are not like the usual options - omelette, fish cake, sardine or meatballs. Adventurous!! Sandwiches were FRESH & TASTY! Portion sizes are very good for the price. All I can say is this little bakery bangs out delicious lunches!“
“These cookies have a delicious array of flavor choices. I like that they rotate weekly. I love the pie crust cookies the best, especially the banana cream pie cookie. Unfortunately, often the cookies are slightly undercooked for my preference, but I'm certain that's a bonus for many other people.“
“The prices are better than the supermarket prices. This shop is small but has brands other than Franz. No cakes or baked confections. They do have donuts, buns, and bread. They place was clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. My only complaint is that the shop is a bit small.“
“In my opinion this is the best donut place ever. I recently brought in two dozen for my coworkers (which the owner graciously gave me a few extra) and they were impressed. The donuts are perfectly made and not too sweet. Definitely get some donut holes and you will be set!“
“You can find food everywhere but hard to find people like these guys helpful people work here and they pride of there business and to be honest all the food is healthy fresh we send our employees to get food they like very good and well support them too good halal food really halal some other afghan store say halal but they sell to you which is not halal at all they called it halal the only store you can trust halal food“
“I mean it’s a cookie place. They sell cookies, I like cookies. I usually order in the app to pick up so I don’t interact much with the employees but I’ve never experienced rudeness from any location. I love the raspberry cheesecake cookie and some of the Fall/Christmas flavors the most. Crumbl is good. It’s pricey but you can literally cut one cookie into 2-4 normal cookies so it’s worth it. Like going for Cold Stone but cookies.“
“Great coffee! This is truly a small community coffee shop with a non-pretentious vibe. My husband is crazy for their homemade pop tarts. It's a fun, friendly place to meet your neighbors and see local art. There is even a piano. The baristas are always down for a casual chat which is very refreshing.“
“Rich, delicious coffee and tasty, perfectly baked pastries abound. I love the idea of Fika (the Swedish term for a coffee break, I believe!) and the baristas know their stuff here. They are trained in latte art (not easy, by the way!), make consistently good cups of coffee, and seem to be knowledgeable about the foods and pastries they offer. There is a giant hangout area attached to the little coffee bar, which unfortunately for introverts like me is always busy busy, but if you like the busy you will probably enjoy the atmosphere is you actually want to hang out. I take mine to go, but one day I'd like to stay and drink from their lovely ceramic cups ^_^ Highly recommend for coffee lovers!“
“I am a certified coffee snob. This place is the best around. The staff are all amazing , drinks are always consistent. When I am out of town on vacation I dream of this place because finding on par coffee out of state is basically impossible.“
“Love this little spot. If you're a fan of Great British Bake Off or any of those types of shows, you will appreciate the craftsmanship and flavors of these baked goods! A slice is a bit pricey, but it's also pretty dang big, enough to split between two people or multiple servings. Definitely a great sweet treat if you're walking around 6th Ave or just passing through on a weekend. Super fun little hole in the wall (literally)“
“As a family we did Easter brunch. Tall ceilings with lots of windows showcased our amazing brunch experience. This was our first time. We enjoyed delicious food. A large variety was offered. The service was excellent. A go to place for sure. We'll be going back.Parking: Easy to park near the entrance.Wheelchair accessibility: Flat and easy to navigate walkways.“
“I come here for lunch often but decided to take my kids for breakfast. They got the crepes and they looked great and they were very happy and I got the breakfast burrito and it was amazing!! Not too big but not small and super full of all the things you want in your breakfast burrito! I highly recommend this place for breakfast or lunch!“
“Favorite bakery to go to! It’s affordable, very yummy and fresh pasteries. There are so many options to choose from and every single one of them taste amazing. My personal favorite is the twisted donuts! Very sweet and kind workers, brighten my day every time I pass by “
“Simple bakery with a rotating menu, I had the mint chocolate cookie before when my coworker got cookies, so I ordered a whole box of 6 for my family to share, one of each. My fav right now is the lemon crinkle cookie. I even liked the strawberry pretzel pie cookie and I don't like it that much!“
“I've been buying bbq pork buns from this bakery for about 8 years and I don't think I'll ever get tired of them. They're always consistent, fresh and tasty. Maybe a tad pricey but well worth it.Commons mall is always empty too but it's really nice to be able to get in and out quickly and not have to wait in lines plus it's close to the entrance too.“
“Absolutely delicious! It's really hard to find a good gluten free cookie. Most of them are hard little rocks or taste nasty. These cookies are soft and so delicious they make you check to make sure you got the gluten free. My favorite is the lemon. I highly recommend trying these out!“
“One of the best decisions I made for my wedding was to order my wedding cake from Teresita’s Mexican Bakery. It was not only so pretty and exactly how I wanted it but the cake it self was so delicious. I love how their tres leches cake is not soggy. I would definitely recommend any bride to order their wedding cake from this bakery.“
“Along with all kinds of really good specialty foods they also have plenty of every day stuff you would find at the regular grocery store and being right next to where I live it’s extremely convenient having these guys next door when not in the mood for the regular store. Meat department is incredible and they have tons of smoked meats and sausages now too.“
