“This little place has a homey feel. It took a moment to learn how it works: there's a large refrigerated case with shelves of menu items packaged to go, which can be heated and served to your table, an unusual approach, but one that worked well. There is a large selection of teas and other packaged food items, and the teacups are beautiful and varied. It was easy to select from plentiful vegan options. We had kichree and tofu curry, along with Beyond momos, which were amazing. The three chutneys were greasy and delicious, served in their squeeze bottles.“

“I have two children with Celiac Disease who are huge ice cream lovers. We just visited for the first time and the lol on my 9 year old son’s face when he found out he could have a waffle cone was beyond priceless. Not only did I enjoy the best martini I’ve ever had (make sure you take Payton’s recommendation and order the Gunpowder Gin), but the food was delectable. We started with the Formosa Roll and enjoyed the shrimp tacos and steak. The Formosa Roll was savory and spicy, the shrimp were perfectly cooked for the tacos and the steak came with potato spirals that I didn’t know I needed in my life, but absolutely do! A true gem of Tacoma, bravo Eric and team!“

“We moved off the island to the east coast almost 12 years ago and Pure was one of my favorite places to get clean, healthy delicious food. Used to walk miles with a toddler on my back. We sold our home to RV full time and one thing I was most excited about was eating here again.

I was so bummed to see it was a new restaurant until I checked the menu and saw the same Buddha bowls on the menu. I was even more overjoyed to see it’s still owned by Stephanie!

Everything was just as I remembered-absolutely delicious! Definitely recommend trying the sorghum! Please support this local business.

“First you have to understand that this would be considered a drive bar. After that, understanding that they have a few games, pinball, darts, pool and decent people there makes this a hidden spot for fun eat before you go, but at the least they serve liquor and have beers on tap. These are the spots that help keep Tacoma small and are perfect when you really want to just have a drink and unwind with a mixed crowd“

“This is a great place. I've been there 6 times this year, after a concert or the PBR and have had an absolute amazing time! Very friendly staff from the doormen to the bartenders, very professional. Absolutely great crowd of people who are there, ive made some new friends there this year. Definitely recommend checking it out if you're in Tacoma. 😊😊“
