“I travel a lot and post reviews of restaurants across the USA. I rarely do a sandwich shop, let alone in my hometown.

We ordered on a rainy Wednesday night using their easy mobile order website. We actually placed the order from the McDonald's parking lot as McDs app was down again and I ain't going back.

I arrived quickly and the team was still making our two sandwiches.

I looked around and found the location to be very clean, everywhere. Windows, door mats, tables, tile, kitchen, beverage machine... impressive. I was the only customer there and talked with Brandon. He told me my order wasn't done yet but gave me my drink cup.

I remarked how clean the store was and chatted with team - they couldn't be a nicer crew. Kudos to the owner, a great team of Brandon, Jay, and Emily.

We had a Little John #4 and a Billy Club. They added chips as a welcome as a new customer for no cost. Fresh soft bread, cold fresh ingredients all wrapped perfectly. I planned to eat half of my sandwich... I ended up eating the whole thing. YUM!

I'm impressed with the location, the team, the prices were good value for these high quality sandwiches - what a nice surprise. This is my go-to sandwich place from now on!

“This location has been under new management for a few months. All our my orders are correctly made and made quickly.
I have a large family so I usually type my order out and hand it over vs ordering 6 individual sandwiches verbally.
Today I did that but instead of waiting for my sandwiches I’m the store I decided to head over to the Safeway to get gas while I waited for my sandwiches. The employee ran out to clarify my order. They really went so above and beyond.
Food is fresh and restaurant is clean❤️“

“So much delicious food here. Best turkey pot pie soup, apple crisp, and lasagna. Sandwiches are a mainstay. Recommend ordering ahead a little to avoid a wait, as everything is made to order.“

“Waited patiently as this shop reworked the old Lyon's Den coffee house here in Bothell, and when I found they were open I went and had them make me a sandwich. And then another. And then a third, and now I'm on a fourth (the joker dip) as I write this review. Because they're just that good. I don't go there daily (I don't want to tire of them!), but what with them being across the street from the post office where my mail goes, it's not only an easy stop, it's a winner as far as the food. Food is quite tasty, staff are wonderful and friendly. This isn't fancy, interior is mostly a no-frills vibe, but you will not regret getting a sandwich from these guys. For any New Yorkers reading this or similarly inclined to this end, if you want your Durkee turkey you gotta buy your own Durkee sauce for home; sorry, I don't make the rules, and I don't know of any sandwich shop in Seattle that carries the sauce.“

“There are places that claim to make good sandwiches. Valhalla makes great sandwiches. I have had two competitors sandwiches this week and I was so disappointed. Valhalla puts out a product that’s swings way above its price point. They put “gourmet” in gourmet sandwiches.“

This little shop is hidden in the very corner of an open plaza, behind the big Lennon statue in Freemont, so it might be easy to miss at first. It does take a little time for them to prepare your sandwich, which they're very up front with (I think it was about 5-8 minutes for me when the shop is empty). But it's totally worth it. Staff is fantastic, friendly and helpful.

Pictured here is my favorite, the Itallian. The bread is so warm and fluffy. The crust is firm but not tough or hard to chew and brushed with garlic butter.

I always get my sandwich to go, though they do have outdoor seating in addition to their bar style counter inside. They always wrap it up nice and in foil so it's usually still nice and hot when I get home. Water is complementary, with some local hard cider and other beverage options.

They have the ability to take orders over the phone if you don't want to wait around, you can call ahead. I saw they have some sandwiches that can be adjusted to be vegetarian as well.“

The owners of the place were some of the nicest people I have ever met, they made me feel happy. The food was so good, and no matter what I could get I would always want to try something else too. “Huge, delicious sandwiches on focaccia. Nice space with a patio out front. Pricing on the sandwiches is not crazy imo, but I paid $10 for a can of beer I was expecting to be on draft. Cocktails are decent but not a cheap place to grab a drink.“

“Wonderful experience here! Uber eats delivery messed up my big group lunch order and when I went to pick up what I could, they remade everything for me that was not delivered. They even gave me a delicious cup of curry from the sushi/bento spot across the way while I waited for the remake. I was thankful for such understanding! The food is awesome. “Best thing about this place is the service. Three young ladies all working cleaning making sandwiches and they are super nice and as a bonus the food is really well done. I had the Thai chicken sandwich a small and they stuff it and it’s very good. My wife had the kind sandwich with turkey. The bread is really good too. I ah e to say I’ve never eaten at one but it’s the best of the sandwich places for sure. And that shop in I district has an excellent staff.“

Some contstructive feedback, If I could make a suggestion it would be to make the meatball a staple on the menu, probably some of the best meatballs I've ever had. But maybe think about using some sort of bright marinara sauce on the sandwich to dull the richness of the meatballs.

“Beautiful, lofty space to enjoy the sun or the rain in an upscale but unpretentious atmosphere. Distraction free (no televisions or QR codes). Top notch draft beer and loved the sandwiches -- my Italian Canadian husband said they reminded him of his mom's! If that's not a compliment I don't know what is.“

“Some of the best tomato soup I’ve had to start with, vegan and deliciously chunky. The Rajun Cajun sandwich lived up to the hype for the most part, but be aware of a small spot with few indoor seats and a 45-ish minute wait between the line and getting food in a Saturday lunch time.“

“I needed a solid sandwich to fuel a long hike and this place came through big time! I grabbed the Italian sub and it was loaded with fresh ingredients and tons of meat -- super flavorful and held up perfectly all the way to the top of the mountain. Nothing better than a great sandwich with a view (highly recommend tryng this!)

“Mendo Farms is one of my go-to's now for daily fare. Can't say enough about how courteous and considerate the staff are compared to most other establishments in Totem Lake. Erik, Filip, Julianna, Dave, Diana (I pretty much know them all by now) always greet you with smiles and enthusiasm. The menu is pretty unique and I'm hooked on the turkey avo. She was so efficient, made my sandwich really well and with care, and asked all the usual questions in a clear voice and useful order. I know it seems like there's not much difference between subway ordering, but she really stood out as doing a fantastic job. She also complimented my sweater, which was really nice because I've had a rough week and it was just such a pleasant thing to hear late night when I was tired and just needed some food. She had curly hair and a bandana, and if there's any possible way to give her a raise or at least a bonus, she very very much deserves it. “I love that it is clean, so I don't feel I need to worry extra about getting food poisoning. I have some disabilities and they are always very accommodating. The staff have all been very friendly. I generally get the same sandwich, and theirs are the best I have had. I'd imagine that's because they are clean and seem as sanitary as this kind of place can be. I will definitely be going back. “The sandwich was good. Mine took a really long time. I saw people coming in and ordering and getting there's before me even though they ordered after me. The staff was very nice but did. Not cut or wrap the sandwich the way I asked, and I heard the order taker say it out loud. Still, very good sandwich, if really expensive.“
