“I was here on Wednesday 8/2/23 at 12:45 and there was a hiccup with the POS and the wonderful girl working named Ray was super helpful and went above and beyond to work out a solution for us on our first visit to Homegrown on our first day after moving to Mercer island ? we appreciate her so much and will definitely be coming back because of her and the food!“
“New Owner, New Vibe, Hot Subs (finally) After being closed for a month, I drove by wanting lunch and saw the neon sign was on.I went inside, and didn't recognize anyone working there. I could see one guy was clearly in charge, taking inventory of everything, like he had a lot of work ahead of him.Turns out, he's the new owner, Andy. He owns several other Subways throughout the Seattle area, and decided to buy the MI Subway from the prior owner, Mike. He knew he had his work cut out for him, and hand-picked his most elite team members from each of his locations. They're all friendly, fast, and for the first time in my life the sub was still hot when I got it home. This isn't the Mercer Island Subway you remember. Its so much better!“
“This was a wonderful surprise stopping by here before the Sounders game. I want to say it was horrible to keep everyone away from here, so I can enjoy it without the crowds, but I just can't. It was amazing and so worth a try. They have over 30+ different sandwiches, and I must say that the fries were almost better than Honey Hole when they were in their most popular. If you know about Honey Hole fries, you know.“
“This is an excellent place to stop by for a great sandwich. I had the Fidel cash flow sandwich and it was excellent. It had plenty of meat toppings, and it had a great flavor. The portion sizes were perfect and the prices were reasonable. $14 for decent sized sandwich and a small side of your choice. The wait time was a little long but it was worth it as the food was definitely fresh. It is a small restaurant so if it is busy there might not be anywhere to sit, but all in all five stars.Parking: Can be difficult to find parking depending on the day as there are limited parking spots.“
“I love layers. I was never really into sandwiches before they came along, but they have changed my opinion. The flavors here are so incredible. They're creative but also simple, taking the best and freshest ingredients to create something amazing. I’ve seen some complaints about the pricing, but I’ve had many different sandwiches here and you can really tell the quality. The bread really sets them apart, but it’s all good. You can really tell that they put love and care into their food. Highly recommend!!“
“The sandwiches here are delicious. Love the way they are sealed up so you can easily take them on the go. I recommend going early in the day as they will sell out of a lot of the more popular ones by about mid day. You can also order ahead for larger orders which makes it perfect for groups or events!“
“You had better be good if you put sandwiches in your name, and Valhalla is very very good!!High quality ingredients and really good sandos!!We had the Fidel Cashflow on Arugula and the Steak Bestie w the Apple slaw.Really good!! We will be back!!!“
“Impeccably clean, delicious fresh food! I’ve been having their sandwiches since college, and now pretty much 20 years later they remain great. Friendliest staff one could ask for, very professional and committed to creating a fun atmosphere.Super cool mural at the bar also!“
“This delightful dining experience took me straight back to Houston! The Caribbean Roast Sandwich and Roasted Street Corn were nothing short of celestial. I'm eagerly looking forward to my next visit to this establishment. Having spent a year in Seattle, this is the first time I've been genuinely impressed and wowed by a culinary experience!“
“Awesome sandwich! Ordered online and it was ready on time - picked up the order and walked over to the king street station and enjoyed our lunch on the Amtrak train!! Great hack for heading out of town, have the Uber drop you at the sandwich spot, it's only a couple blocks from the station! Cubano and spicy salami sandwiches were delicious.“
“I almost never leave reviews and am only moved to by truly exceptional quality. I have been a customer at Royal Grinders since around 2013 when I lived right up the street. I would go at least once (sometimes three times) a week my whole time I lived in the neighborhood. I’m a creature of habit and always get the chicken pesto grinder with everything. Since leaving the neighborhood I don’t have the opportunity to go as often, but i look forward to it every time I do. When it closed during the pandemic, I was quite disappointed. I remember when it first reopened I called ahead to get my usual order. I figured it would be slammed. Nobody answered like they always had in the past and I was disappointed. When I arrived I noticed the line going out the door and I understood why no one had answered. When I got to the front the owner seemed to recognize me from my time as a regular which took me by surprise. I told him I’d called ahead and nobody answered. He was apologetic and, without me asking, told me he would get my order out quickly. There were at least 5 people waiting ahead of me and my sandwich came out first. I felt truly appreciated and like my regular business was noticed and rewarded which is extremely rare. As for the sandwiches, they are literally my favorite sandwich in the city. I take any opportunity to tell my friends that it’s the best sandwich spot in town.“
“Stopped in for a late meal, we ordered two cheeseburgers with bacon, split a large fries, two regular drinks and an order of funnel cake bites. First the place is decent and clean and comfortable, the staff was helpful and polite.Food was good, burgers were cooked perfectly and well built, the fries were lightly battered and cooked to crispy perfection, everything was tasty. The patty was plain and not flavorful, if they had a decent patty this would a go to recommendation for a burger, took off a star for quality.Bathroom was a little scary and the pop machine was was out of my favorite brand, minus one star for bathroom.I will definitely return, and will update this review if I see improvements. Staff was super personable and helpful and not in a creepy way. Thanks!“
“I went midweek at 2Pm. I was the only person there, service was prompt and friendly. The music and atmosphere was chill but great. I ordered the Prosciutto sandwich. The sandwich was so good, one of the best I have had in a while. If you are in the area, it is definitely a place worth going.Parking: This is a residential area so parking could be rough during a busy time.“
“In a world where average seems to be the norm, Paseo stands out as one of the few, the best, Top Dog. Thank your Latin American kitchen staff, white folk, for we are the ones growing, cooking, and feeding you. Be thankful and always leave a tip if you can not afford to tip. You can not afford to eat out, learn to cook healthy at home. ?“
“Needed a quick lunch spot so stopped in The Stop and SO glad I did. I wish I lived here so I could go back again and again and try every sandwich. I got the Dolce Vida, which was DELICIOUS. I need to go back and try all the rest, and even breakfast. Highly recommend!“
“Stopped in here after getting my new passport. Was served a DELICIOUS sandwich accompanied by some of their homemade banana chocolate chip bread. And oof! It was all fantastic.Great service. Great food.If you're in the area and feeling the hungry tummy rumbles... this is the place to go! :)“
“Went in to check out menu. Picked the Neanderthal (such clever names - I suggested they get buffalo & create a sandwich and call it "the Native" ) The service was great. Grant helped me out, really great personality!I don't like to drive and eat but I was hungry and hadn't eaten all day so a few nibbles later and WOW!!! I ate 1/2 of the sandwich!!! It was so delicious. The bread was fresh, bacon yummy goodness, turkey, lettuce , tomatoes, and mayo was just the right amount or maybe that was aoli...and those pickled red onions ..omg!I will be back Grant!!??? “
“A hole in the wall that I wish I had discovered far earlier than today. I had an egg and ham breakfast sandwich with this lemon-y aioli that was absolutely divine. The salted caramel chocolate chip cookie was *chef's kiss* yumyumyum! The people who were working this morning were so kind and I look forward to returning.“
“It’s a great place for sandwiches with seating inside the beautiful Lark restaurant. We went on a cold Saturday around 1230 and we’re easily able to grab a seat. The fried chicken sandwich is delicious as is the burrata salad. Kids and adults enjoyed it. It was fun to sit at the window and stay warm while enjoying good food.“
“Jersey Mike's Newcastle location on Coal Creek Pkwy. deserves a High 5! The service is always VG. The staff members are friendly and welcoming. The sandwiches are are also top notch! The best among the sandwich chains. When it comes to authentic sub sandwiches, they can't be beat. Try the #13 Original Italian on white, "Mike's Way" and your getting as genuine a sub sandwich as you'll find anywhere. I'm typically a "support the independent, local business" type guy but, the product doesn't lie! There are many good, in fact great independent sandwich shops in the Seattle and suburban vicinity. Jersey Mike's, done right, as at the Coal Creek location is as good as any of them.“
“Not a fancy place. Just a well run, delicious sub shop. I randomly looked up sandwiches in the area on my way from the airport. Lots of options like JJ, and JM... I wanted to try something local.I had the heated turkey sub with the bacon aioli. , on the recommendation of the friendly gentleman (owner) making the sandwiches. I didn't want a cold sub. This was a fantastic sandwich on the french bread. The bread was light and crunchy. I only planned on eating half, but couldn't help myself and took down the whole thing. We'll be back if we are in the area.“
“The food is always delicious! Service is friendly, even when it's busy. My husband and I have been eating sandwiches here for the past ten years and it has always been our favorite sandwich joint?? Keep up the fantastic work! Yall are Killin it?“
“Absolutely best simple sandwiches easy!! My go to for the turkey bacon club with a bowl of soup or fries. Great staff. Polite and professional. I'm so glad that I went to try the cafe out that first time or I never would have known . I hope they never close .“
“This place has the best sandwiches in Seattle. Notice how all of the low stars are from people complaining about nonsense like a forgotten order or an experience they had one time where it felt slow. If you want that go to Subway, if you want an absolutely delicious sandwich with high quality ingredients from a local small business, go here.“
“Can’t recommend this place enough! Not only is there food amazing, but they hire elders who make everything with so much love. They made my day by adding a heart cookie and caramel hard candy to my breakfast sandwich for Valentine’s Day. If you miss and appreciate the care and love that grandparents put into preparing your food, then you have to come by here.“
“Wide selection of baked goods! Decided on half dozen various when was only here for savory food. Air conditioned. Clean tables. Quiet and classy music. Friendly service. Ample parking. All right here in Tukwila.Vegetarian options: Grilled or fresh sandwiches. Various salads.“
“Love that it is open 24 hours. Super Friendly staff. My orders through the app are always ready when I walk in and I enjoy getting to 'jump the line'. Tasty fresh ingredients. Good bread not crusty like other stores. They seem like they actually care. Definitely my favorite Subway location.“
“Just like Kylo Ren screaming "MOOOORE!" in Episode 8, I want more of these sandwiches. When the staff said "everything is good, I'm not just saying that" they were not just saying that. If there's one thing that's going to bring me back down to Seattle (from BC) it's going to be these sandwiches.Vegetarian options: I tried the Veggie Diablo simply because I wanted something that hit fresh in everyway. Even though the main part of the sandwich was spinach, there was so much it was actually what brought the sandwich together.“
“I was in Bellevue when my mom was at the hospital. I probably wouldn't travel out there just for this place but I do have to say they have great bagels. I'm not a New Yorker but I imagine this is what I would get if I were. The staff was quick and the place was clean. It is a small place so I took mine to go and ate in my car.“
“I go here for the salads. They make some of the healthiest & most delicious salads you can get at a take out restaurant.Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian optionsDietary restrictions: Plenty of options for those on vegan, Paleo, keto, or some of the strict 'dieters'“
“When I travel I always seek out local places with wholesome food and good vibes - such at Gilbert’s on Main - highly recommend for breakfast / lunch and in between. What I loved: food was great, order and pay at the counter, free flow of self service coffee and water - nice and cozy local vibe. Walking distance from most downtown Bellevue hotel“
“Great tasting subs. Quick turnaround. Enjoyable to walk to using the Kirkland Corridor. Indoor and outdoor seating.Vegetarian options: My friend ordered a 12 inch all veggie sub, and does this regularly. I am not vegetarian, so I had a turkey sub, which was also delicious (I did get the "all the veggies" option, however, because veggies are yummy!).“
“Quick, hot, well-made breakfast sandwich. Really fluffy eggs. Self-serve drip coffee with multiple creamer options. Reasonable price in U District.Parking: Located next door to the U District lightrail station and on 45th Street close to multiple bus lines. Best for those not using personal vehicle.“
“Okay whoever the sweet girl was working on the evening shift of 8th of January deserves a raise. They were so kind and sociable and recommended their favourite sub to me. Great service in and out very quickly. Clean restaurant and convenient location. Coming back again for sure.“
“So I arrived to 1 employee working up front. The guy in the back didn't come to the grill for 15 minutes. This is NOT my complaint. The staff deserves to take a break and rest. It was around 4 o'clock if I remember correctly. It was the weekend. The girl up front doing sandwiches all by herself was absolutely on FIRE! She had no support but never faltered, never stopped smiling, and never quit moving. PROMOTE this girl ahead of her peers. The sandwich was fabulous as always and although tgis isn't my normal location, I know I can visit it and be taken care of like my other locations. Well worth the stop and I am glad I did.“
“I had the spicy tofu bowl. It was tasty, filling, and healthy- I really like that it didn't rely on grains for bulk. The menu is small overall, but there's at least one vegan and one vegetarian option in each category. Great for a mixed, omnivore group.“
“Great a lot for a Vegan friendly lunch. It feels a bit complicated your first time since you order from tablets in the front and wait for your name to be called. However, everyone was super nice. My favorite part is this place is that you can divide your trash into "landfill" and compostable bins.“
“Parking: It's located in a mall, so there is ample parking around the exterior.Wheelchair accessibility: There aren't any raised platforms or narrow walkways. Chairs can be moved aside to accommodate a wheelchair at the table.“
“Great flavor, fresh ingredients, super friendly service and reasonable prices from a locally owned establishment. More than just soups too- they have a few salads, wraps, and sandwiches. Gluten free and vegetarian options. What else could you want from a lunch spot?“
“Elizabeth the lady that works at night couldn't be friendlier nicer aND warm. We were short on our food. And she even kickin the money that we needed out of the kindness of her heart. Companies need to look at employees like her because she sets the standard for a great guest customer experience . Thanks Elizabeth we will be back!!“
“I love that it is clean, so I don't feel I need to worry extra about getting food poisoning. I have some disabilities and they are always very accommodating. The staff have all been very friendly. I generally get the same sandwich, and theirs are the best I have had. I'd imagine that's because they are clean and seem as sanitary as this kind of place can be. I will definitely be going back. Thanks you guys! :)“
“This was my first time here and it may be the best sub I've ever had. The staff was so nice and attentive. I mentioned it was my first time and they gave me a free cookie which was small but the perfect dessert, even though I ate it first lol. I wish I got the names of the staff who worked with me because the service was great.“
“Parking: It's located in a mall, so there is ample parking around the exterior.Wheelchair accessibility: There aren't any raised platforms or narrow walkways. Chairs can be moved aside to accommodate a wheelchair at the table.“
“I ordered the hog islander via uber eats and when I tell you that it was the best hoagie I've ever eaten I really mean that, and that's after it traveled and was delivered. I can only imagine how good it'll be if I go down there and get it myself. I added mama's peppers to it wich was a good touch and I got a pickle on the side too all of it was good“
“Amazing food. Owner Paul and his wife are incredibly friendly. Me and my buddy were touring Seattle to eat anywhere we could and this was easily the best food we found especially for the price. 10/10 worth the walk and we swung back by for seconds. Incredibly friendly to tourists as well.“
“The customer service was top notch. My sandwich was made exactly how I ordered it. Everything was fresh and tastely. The restaurant was clean and very comfortable. I am so glad there is still a Quiznos to enjoy their delicious sandwiches. I recommend this restaurant.“
“Ordering is through a touchscreen, but employees will answer questions or help. Food is fresh and filling and very consistent, though some options can be very rich, so order with less sauce if that's your taste. There are a small number of tables so your best move is to order to-go and eat in the nearby park on a nice day. The Za'atar sandwich is amazingly flavorful.“
“This is the best Subway hands down.I have all across this country and hands down this one is always the best.Bread is always freshVeggies are always fresh and the customer service is always great. Not to mention that access to this store is very easy from all directions for vehicles of all sizes, from smart cars to large semi'sOther Subways could learn a thing or two from this store.“
“I like the hot subs here more than at other sub shops. More choices and I think they taste better. The customization options are a bit more limited, but they have all the basic stuff you would expect for a sandwich. I haven't tried the cold subs, but I do see them slice it fresh for others. For cold subs, I like a bit more options for veggies which is why I usually get them at another store. I should try it here once though because they do look good.“
“in conjunction with their app, this place fails to disappoint. i appreciate the consistency and speed with which subs are made and ready. Given the limited dining options on the island and the south end particularly, i'm very pleased to have this location available for quick weekend lunches. I have not been disappointed once in the sub that i ordered. I recommend this chain restaurant.“
