“I drive to this location although I live 30 mins away for it's customer service and quality. It's not even crowded during the lunch hour during the week when I take my kids out for the day. I have been there 5 times in the past month with my my family and never had a bad experience with food or staff.😄“

“My family and I regularly go to the Ballard Farmers’ Market and get pizza slices from Vespucci, a pizza vendor with the best pizza in Seattle - hands down. When we found out that they had an Italian restaurant we knew we just had to go. And so we did. All I can say is that the food is some of the best I have ever had, and you just need to try it out for yourself because the whole experience is amazing.“

“Enjoyed the menu’s fresh ingredients, traditional yet innovative twists. Housemade pastas were the stars. Very good wine list and reasonably priced.“

“We had a meal here for our first time. It was an absolutely wonderful atmosphere and delicious! We ordered a margarita pizza, veggie pizza, eggplant parm, standard pasta and sauce, and more. All of it was fresh and made to perfection. The kids got some gelato and we packed a tiramisu to go- all of which were delicious as well. I highly recommend!“

“My favorite place to eat in Ballard - the food, the staff and the atmosphere are all a delight, every time! They even cater to special dietary requirements and do a vegan pizza with actual vegan cheese (rather than just the bland stuff you’d normally get in most places), and their wholewheat crust is to die for! They also do the best dolma and the best hummus veggie platter. My whole family and I keep coming back, thank you!“

“Excellent experience! The food was superb, the service impeccable. An added bonus was the tribute to Burt Bacharach, with many songs played by a violinist. We will definitely return.“

“With restaurant prices in Seattle so high, my husband and I are very particular about when, where and why we go out, so we tend to have very high expectations when we do go out. Last night was my husband’s birthday and we chose to give Lioness a try. We had a fabulous time! The service was perfect, our servers were so nice and perfectly attentive without hovering. I ordered the Lioness martini, and at $25, I was expecting something out of this world. It delivered! We ordered the burrata, Billy’s tomatoes, gem lettuces and the cavatelli pasta. Each dish was fantastic! There have been reviews complaining that you only get one slice of bread with the burrata, but the slice was big, thick and perfectly toasted, it was plenty for sharing the dish! The tomatoes had a nice spice, chili oil? Beautifully balanced. The gem lettuce salad was delicious, again a good balance between the nuttiness of roasted hazelnut in the vinaigrette and the salty creaminess of the grated cheese on top, The cavatelli was my least favorite, the pasta was a bit heavy for the sauce, I felt that a spaghetti or angel hair, being more delicate, would have been better with the fantastic sauce, but it was still delicious! We finished the meal with the chocolate cake, a beautiful sweet but not too sweet ending to a great meal. When you are spending over $200 for two, you want it to be worth it and our experience at Lioness was. Thank you Renee and you wonderful staff!“

“Everything, from the energy the 2 men brought, to the perfect, warm, and light crunch crust, to the perfect, tomato sauce, to the cheese blocks (which is how pizza should be done), to the perfect basil aftertaste, this pizza is a must have. I have had far more pizza than the average person. This pizza is in my top 1 of all time. I know a true neapolitan pizza when I taste one, and this one had everything that makes one.“

“The pizza here is obviously great, but what I really want to recommend is the Pizza 101 class taught by Sourdough Willy himself. It was very informative, fun, and the pizza was delicious. Plus you get a couple of beers and the sourdough starter to take home. Completely worth it!“
