“The best Italian food you will get in the PNW. I am 100% Italian and very picky with authentic Italian food and this place is THE BEST! I have eaten at many Italian Restaurants in Seattle and Tropea has them all beat. You will not be disappointed. Highly recommend a visit!“
“We were there for my Mother's birthday and everything was great! The food was excellent and the service, we had one couple that was almost an hour late and we were never made to feel uncomfortable. Other guests were all greeted warmly by the host (owner?) and it seemed that she knew and remembered everyone. Those she didn't know she tried to make feel like old friends. I wouldn't be able to afford frequent dinners here but if I could I would want to make it at least once a week. Highly recommend!Parking: The street parking was plentiful enough but the city has recently restricted it to 2 hours until 8 PM. Businesses on the block are trying to get this changed back to 5 PM, which would be helpful.“
“We celebrated our daughter's birthday with dinner. The calamari appetizer was fresh and elegantly served. Spinach salad with mushrooms, bacon, and Gorgonzola was delicious. The three pasta dishes we tried were absolutely perfect! Service was well paced and attentive. We will definitely return to Luigi's!“
“Excellent, delicious pizza at an affordable price. I paid $28 for a large size combo pizza (it has 7 toppings) and the pizza was delicious, crust was cooked wonderfully and the toppings all tasted very fresh. It easily fed all four of us with a couple slices left over. Easily the best pizza I've ever had from a pizza chain.“
“I'm not gonna lie. Pasta ya Gotcha has a very....very very very very very very special place in my heart. Ever since I was first introduced to Pasta ya Gotcha that fateful Tuesday many years ago at the Redw Cafe.....my life has been changed. I will never look at Tuesday's the same....I must have Texas Tijuana Taco Penne Tuesday. My team switched buildings and I still went to Redw on Tuesdays. The pandemic hit and now I order Door Dash. I realize this may not be everyone's jam, but I'll tell you what....the marriage of Italian and Mexican food and the perfect offspring of Texas Tijuana Taco Penne is a remarkable thing. Thank you, Pasta ya Gotcha, for making my dreams come true!“
“What a lovely experience. We got a reservation here a few hours beforehand. Parking was super easy, there’s a big lot right outside. We walked in and found out there was a violinist playing in the restaurant! She was wonderful, she even played one of our favorite songs. We arrived about half an hour before our reservation and they were luckily able to seat us right away. The service was very good and we had several people taking care of us and periodically checking in.The atmosphere was great, very peaceful even with so many people. The crowd was mostly older (~35-60) well dressed people, I assume out for date night. My fiancée and I talk pretty softly at restaurants as not to disturb our neighbors and our neighbors were just as quiet as us, so this place has people with respect and social etiquette. I will say this place has the tables crammed in, I’m plus size and I had to weave around the room to get to my chair in the back and then actually move the table so I could fit in between to get to the booth, which was very unfortunate and a bit embarrassing. The food was fabulous. Im a vegetarian and there were a fair number of vegetarian dishes, although most of those lacked creativity. I’d love to see more inspired vegetarian options. We had the flatbread with roasted garlic and goat cheese and the risotto mozzarella balls to start. Both were great, tasted very fresh. The red sauce with the risotto balls was outstanding, warm and rich with a kick to it. The drinks were delicious, I got their autumn respite and it was particularly good and a somewhat unique flavor combination. I had the pesto pasta for dinner and although the sauce was quite runny it had great flavor. Restaurant pestos often disappoint but this one was fresh and delicate. They got my order wrong the first time but corrected it pretty quickly, which I was thankful for since my fiancée won’t begin eating without me. He got the carbonara which he said was also quite good. For dessert we got the gelato and sorbet trio and it was hands down the best pistachio gelato I’ve ever had, which happens to be my favorite. They were out of the coconut, my second favorite, which was disappointing. They were also out of the red meat option, which my fiancée really wanted, so that was also quite disappointing, as he doesn’t care for pasta generally and this was one of the few mains without it. I had the homemade arancella which was fabulous and he got a grappa that happened to be one of his favorites. The wine was so good too.Throughout the night we had 3 different staff checking in on us so we never sat there waiting for help. Each one of them was wonderful but not overbearing. It genuinely seemed like they didn’t mind (dare I say enjoyed?) the work atmosphere. They didn’t rush the bill either. We spent about an hour and a half here.As people who usually go out in Seattle, we were shocked that the place was nearly cleared out by 815, but I imagine is due to the older clientele they were serving that night and the general calmness of the Redmond region.Overall, the meal was exceptional. We rarely find ourselves in Redmond and we don’t often go to a place twice unless it’s VERY good but I will be coming back and I eagerly await another violin date night at Blue Sardinia. I highly recommend this place, even if you have to drive out from Seattle.“
“This is a decent moderately priced little place to eat some Italian food. The decor was lacking a bit but I like the large pictures of the old school Italian actors and actresses. I also like there’s outdoor seating around a fire pit. There’s a large wine selection. I was disappointed that chicken Parmesan was not on the menu but I found another chicken dish that had mushrooms, artichokes with a creamy white sauce I really enjoyed. Honestly from the appetizer to the main dish everything was good, it’s just the atmosphere was lack luster a little but I could eat there again.“
“Awesome place for pizza, speciallyindian pizza, fully loaded, with a lot of variety and on time delivery. Sizes are pretty good and my go to place for pizza. Prices on Uber pickup or delivery is higher than in the store. So get it from store if you want to save some bucks.“
“Waitress was very helpful in describing things. The atmosphere inside is awesome and they have an open kitchen where you see them making the food which I think is a cool touch! The food was fantastic and reasonably priced for what you get! Definitely coming back for another date night!“
“EDIT: I had to update this review to 5 stars (from 3) because... Read the response below. Sounds like a tough night, and clearly this place seriously cares about their customers. Ownership like that is rare, and should be supported. Original review below. This is a tough review to write, because the food is not bad, and the concept is pretty cool. The pizza is definitely in the style of cafeteria food pizza (very Americana), but it's probably the best version of that style of pizza you could find. My only gripe on the food itself is that the dough could be a bit more flavorful, but that's about it.However, this place has the absolute slowest service imaginable. I've only ever seen two people working here (maybe the couple of owners?) and they desperately need a third employee. You can't order ahead of time, and expect to wait 30-40 minutes after any order.Related, but their weekday hours are terrible. By closing at 7pm, you're basically ensuring that few will make it, so everyone comes on the weekends, and then they're totally overloaded.I ordered a dessert as we were finishing our food, and 35 minutes later I just had to tell them to cancel it, because it was never coming. Unfortunately, no refund because you pay when putting in the order. That's poor service no matter how you cut it.“
