“I’m from Baja California, so I’m picky about my Mexican food. My wife and I came here, and honestly, I was dreading it she always picks the worst spots. BUT… I was completely wrong this time. I’ve tried a lot of mole, even made my own, and let me tell youthis place has the BEST mole I’ve ever tasted. No joke. It was so good, it almost felt wrong washing it down with water. Whoever’s in the kitchen making that mole? Give them a raise.“

“Run, do not walk to Nell Thorn Restaurant & Pub restaurant in La Conner. From the second that you walk inside the front doors, you know…that you are not in Kansas anymore! The surroundings were warm, and very inviting, and I loved the fact that every single member of the staff that approached the table, introduced themselves by name. The view is so unbelievable. Looking out of the windows, and seeing the moon reflected off of the water in La Conner was simply put: Magic. I wasn’t necessarily going to have a cocktail, but when I looked at their list, I absolutely had to order their Manhattan, which was exemplary and used only the best ingredients. Their menu is very reasonably priced for the unbelievable culinary experience that they provide. I was having a hard time deciding on what to choose from the menu, and the chicken was recommended to me. I don’t normally eat chicken in a restaurant. But after reading the ingredients which included confit chicken, wild mushrooms, and a marsala sauce, I decided to change my mind. Finding out I was gluten intolerant they even suggested substituting the pasta, which was on the menu, with their fried polenta. It was magnificent! Every bite was crispy, and every portion of the plate had a different phenomenal flavor that just exploded in your mouth. The owner recommended a beautiful red wine which was the perfect accompaniment for our dinner. And don’t get me started on the desert that was smothered in a rum caramel sauce. “Definitely a more small town vibe here so we waited a bit for a menu and drinks but I expected that walking in blind to a new place however Julie the bartender is a incredible addition to this establishment. Right off the bat shes was kind, funny and accommodating - She served me and my sister and I got the sample while she got the fish and chips. I wish I could bring some of the fish and chips home - they might actually be the best in town but we were just passing through La Conner.

We initially just were looking for a place with pull tabs and this was a pleasant surprise to come down to from Anacortes.

“I have never been to your town, and it did not disappoint. I loved the businesses that made up the town. The food at your establishment was amazing and came out super fast. I ordered the guacamole which is always hit or miss for me because sometimes it’s spicy (don’t like spicy food) and other times it is not. It was prepared perfectly and I even tried the salsa, and let me be clear here, I am NOT a salsa person. However, it was delicious, and I will be back here again. “Lovely little pub-style restaurant. The atmosphere is cozy, and the food is tasty and creative. Our server was also the bartender - he was gracious and made us feel at home. We've eaten here a couple of times before, and have always enjoyed it. However, currently the prices are excessively high, compared with similar dishes at other restaurants. Every choice of wine on the menu is expensive - why couldn't they also have a modestly-priced choice? While our server was great, it took forever to get our food, even though they were nearly empty...“

The Italian dining experience you've always dreamed of: a boisterous host greeted us warmly and loudly and when we sheepishly admitted we didn't have a reservation he responded with 'What's your name?! Now you do!' and showed us straight to our ideal seats at the bar. The servers were exceptional, the service excellent, the ambiance enchanting, the food sooooo delicious. ? There was a live musician, friendly conversation all around and overall a beautiful Saturday date night dining experience... 10/10 can't wait to go back. “My childhood teriyaki spot growing up. Maybe I'm biased but I haven't found a place anywhere else in the US that comes close. The Bento #1 beef was my go to every visit. The California rolls are unmatched, the beef teriyaki is the perfect ratio of sweet + salty + umami. And the gyoza is comforting, crispy and classic. 10/10.“

“I needed to book a place for a funeral reception for a death in the family with short notice. When I tell you that Tiffany from the Secret Cove was on top of it, I mean from start to finish. She made herself available to communicate with even over the weekend and came up with an appetizer menu super quickly at a reasonable price. The views and space were perfect for our needs and they even provided a great little table to set flowers and pictures in front. I would not hesitate to use them again for any kind of event and I would highly suggest Secret Cove for anyone needing an event space. Thank you for making a not so fun time go as smoothly as possible and for communicating/adjusting well from start to finish!“

“The food was great and the service was too! So why four stars instead of five? Because my takeout order was supposed to include a four star heat Mongolian Beef. And we didn't receive it. No problem, I called and let them know it was missing and was invited to return and pick it up. So I did, and again it was not four star Mongolian Beef. I wasn't about to go back a third time. Delicious beef imperial, but not what I ordered.“

“Stopped here on our way back to Missouri. I grew up just down the road from this place and this was my first time eating here ( I'm embarrassed to say). we had the fish and chips and shrimp basket, both were amazing! I have eaten A LOT of fish and chips in my life and this was hands down the best. I love the shaded outdoor dining area, it was clean and comfortable. The staff here, is super friendly. If there is a line DO NOT let it deter you from stopping. It is work the wait. I even got 5lbs of shrimp to take back to MO.“

Clam chowder could of been thicker with more clams and would have been nice to have oyster crackers. The hot turkey dinner was a little weird. The turkey was deep fried I think but the plate size was huge. Western burger's bacon was perfect. Their bacon is very thick and largely portioned.“

“I had a great experience with Jimmy John’s today!! There was an extra long line at the Guemes ferry so I ordered some sandwiches. I placed my order at 2:37pm and it was out for delivery at 2:43! The driver then contacted me to see which car was mine and brought it down to me. I would do this again and highly recommend!“
