“Really good pizza. As in, surprisingly good pizza. Clearly freshly made dough, newly made tomato sauce (not canned!), and fresh vegetables! We were pleasantly surprised! It’s rare these days to get a pizza of that quality. We ate more than we intended and got another to go. All we wanted to know when we left was: could you please open one on the south end of the Island?!“

“I go to Port Angeles typically once a month. The last year, I have been making this trip on Tuesdays. I arrive at the ferry early and take a walk. That’s when I think, it would nice to have a coffee. Oh ya, Callens is right across the street. Unfortunately, they are closed on Tuesdays and don’t open till 9am the other days. I only bring this up because virtually every time, I see people walking up to find the only business capable of serving coffee at the ferry terminal closed. Obviously, I have no idea how much staffing they have and certainly they need a day off. I am only pointing out they have a captive audience here looking for coffee and possibly something to eat while they wait for the ferry. Thank you for the opportunity to express my thoughts as I would like to support this local business.“

“Wonderful meal, excellent risotto, so creamy and delicious. Five of us are here for a bike weekender. We have our share of excellent restaurants in Portland, and this meal in Port Townsend was a standout!“

“We finally had a chance to give Jumbo Burrito a try! Our little family walked in 10 minutes prior to closing and these guys were SO accommodating and so friendly. Everyone in there was positive and just had a great attitude. Super clean restaurant as well, and the food is fantastic especially for the price. Tons of quality meat & sides. The veggies are fresh and just taste amazing. Thank you guys so much for accommodating us last minute and getting us a hot meal after a long day. Much appreciated!! “Mai Thai is our go-to for Thai food. We chose it over Naung Mai in Oak Harbor initially because of the price difference, but the portions are bigger and there's more of your chosen meat/protein in the soups and entrees. That said- be aware you have to LIKE SPICE. Recently it has been difficult to get "spice 1", which should just be a hint. If you say "no spice", it's OK, but not Thai, right? But if there's a difference between 1 and 4, I can't tell. Our Pho soup tonight (spice 1) was burning our throats. The pad thai was OK at spice 1, but still quite a bit spicier than I would assume 1 would be. This is a new development for this restaurant, so it is probably a new chef. Just BE AWARE. Anyway, most people complain the food in the PNW is too bland, so you won't have that problem, at least! And as far as ordering, we use the online app. Add five mins to the time it says your pick up is ready. It is never ready. Door Dashers use this place constantly, and they clog the order process. There is indoor dining, but we have never used it, thanks to Covid protocols. Also- a final word on parking. The parking lot has been sectioned off from looping through the driver's ed school next door. Therefore the lot is super tough to turn and get out. You are better off parking along the strip by the salon to the left of the restaurant and walking up. Please be careful in this area of town at night.“

“Banana Leaf is a favorite of ours for Asian food in PT, and it never disappoints. The dishes are delicious, and the spiciness on-target with our regular requests of 4 (pleasantly spicy) to negative 2 (not spicy at all). The servers are always friendly and helpful. Some of our favorite dishes are Golden Cashew, Rama, Massamun Curry, and Mango Ginger Duck.“

“Our son recently got married in lovely Pt. Townsend. We needed to host 30 people for the groom's dinner. There are not many places in town that can accommodate that large of a crowd. However Jason was willing to offer our group his entire front room for this event. Being from out of town everything was arranged through one phone call and text messages. Jason recommended a family style dinner with three entrees, 4 appetizers and two additional sides. The food was amazing, the service was delightful, everyone was comfortable and well fed. I can't recommend this restaurant enough for the wonderful experience it gave us and fond memories for the newlyweds. This was quite a place for a destination wedding and our flawless experience with Jason made it even better. My only wish is he owned another one in Minneapolis, then maybe he'd be a Vikings fan!“

“One of the best veggie burritos I’ve had in a very long time! Stopped in for a to-go lunch traveling from Bellingham to Oak Harbor. The lovely lady at the register was very kind, informing me that it would be a few minutes wait. The place is small, but bright and clean. After just a few minutes my order was brought to me outside, where I was waiting with my dog. There was so much food! I ate a large portion for lunch, and still have plenty for dinner and lunch tomorrow! The burrito was stuffed with flavorful vegetables, rice and beans, and covered in a super tasty sauce, cheese, and guacamole. The huge burrito, chips salsa and tip was under $20! Highly recommend this fantastic restaurant.“

“Stopped by Tokyo Stop Teriyaki in Oak Harbor and ordered the bento box. It was awesome and easily the highlight of my visit. I liked having a variety of food in one meal, and I’d order it again. The service was good too; everyone we interacted with was helpful, and the visit went smoothly. My only hesitation is the price, which felt a bit high for a casual meal. Still, I enjoyed the food enough that I’d come back when I’m in the area. If you’re visiting and deciding what to order, the bento box is definitely worth considering. Overall, a good experience and a solid four stars.“

Vegetarian options: They always have at least one good veggie options on top of the pastries for lunch And all of thier breakfast options include a choice of meatless suasage/pattie.Today I chose the PNW Bombay sandwich (pictured). grilled veggies with a curry spread. Very tasty!

Our one regret was getting takeout instead of dining in because the smell of the food was tormenting us on the drive home. The gyros were perfect and the dolmathes were exactly what I was craving. “I hard awful things..... I ordered delivery anyway; SO GLAD I DID!!! Very good food, nice selection and some unique dishes too (the 9 flavors beef!) Delivery is very fast and only $3 in OakHarbor. Staff always seems very friendly, I have ordered from there 3 times now and I am very impressed.“

Me and my spouse were visiting the island and stoped in Oak Harbor. We saw El Cazador and decided to stop.

Best decision we have made in a while. We both go the Asada Tacos they were so flavorful. We also got some Queso and Chips to go with out Chips and Salsa. It was all so delicious and worth the money. I definitely recommend everyone stop in!“
