“I go to Port Angeles typically once a month. The last year, I have been making this trip on Tuesdays. I arrive at the ferry early and take a walk. That’s when I think, it would nice to have a coffee. Oh ya, Callens is right across the street. Unfortunately, they are closed on Tuesdays and don’t open till 9am the other days. I only bring this up because virtually every time, I see people walking up to find the only business capable of serving coffee at the ferry terminal closed. Obviously, I have no idea how much staffing they have and certainly they need a day off. I am only pointing out they have a captive audience here looking for coffee and possibly something to eat while they wait for the ferry. Thank you for the opportunity to express my thoughts as I would like to support this local business.“

“We finally had a chance to give Jumbo Burrito a try! Our little family walked in 10 minutes prior to closing and these guys were SO accommodating and so friendly. Everyone in there was positive and just had a great attitude. Super clean restaurant as well, and the food is fantastic especially for the price. Tons of quality meat & sides. “Every time I'm visiting a proper coastal town, solid seafood is on my agenda. That's what I came to Silverwater for. But I was blown away! My meal was plated with intention and cooked wonderfully. (Now that I've tasted fondant potatoes, I don't think I'll ever go back!) It was so delightful I turned my phone upside down and intentionally slowed my eating just to enjoy it. Rarely can I turn off my mind and just be in the moment, so this was a true gift. Paired with happenstance live music and attentive and warm staff, it was a genuine culinary experience I won't soon forget.

A shout-out to Barry, my waiter. His service was excellent to me, but what made him stand out was how he commended his kitchen colleagues for their skills, and how he treated another guest, a child. He crouched to her level for their conversation, rather than speak over her. It was an intentional and dignified choice, and it was reassuring that he was genuinely good at what he does and it wasn't for show.

When next I'm in town, I will absolutely be back.“

“Mai Thai is our go-to for Thai food. We chose it over Naung Mai in Oak Harbor initially because of the price difference, but the portions are bigger and there's more of your chosen meat/protein in the soups and entrees. That said- be aware you have to LIKE SPICE. Recently it has been difficult to get "spice 1", which should just be a hint. If you say "no spice", it's OK, but not Thai, right? But if there's a difference between 1 and 4, I can't tell. Our Pho soup tonight (spice 1) was burning our throats. The pad thai was OK at spice 1, but still quite a bit spicier than I would assume 1 would be. This is a new development for this restaurant, so it is probably a new chef. Just BE AWARE. Anyway, most people complain the food in the PNW is too bland, so you won't have that problem, at least! And as far as ordering, we use the online app. Add five mins to the time it says your pick up is ready. It is never ready. Door Dashers use this place constantly, and they clog the order process. There is indoor dining, but we have never used it, thanks to Covid protocols. Also- a final word on parking. The parking lot has been sectioned off from looping through the driver's ed school next door. Therefore the lot is super tough to turn and get out. You are better off parking along the strip by the salon to the left of the restaurant and walking up. Please be careful in this area of town at night.“

“Our son recently got married in lovely Pt. Townsend. We needed to host 30 people for the groom's dinner. There are not many places in town that can accommodate that large of a crowd. However Jason was willing to offer our group his entire front room for this event. Being from out of town everything was arranged through one phone call and text messages. Jason recommended a family style dinner with three entrees, 4 appetizers and two additional sides. The food was amazing, the service was delightful, everyone was comfortable and well fed. I can't recommend this restaurant enough for the wonderful experience it gave us and fond memories for the newlyweds. This was quite a place for a destination wedding and our flawless experience with Jason made it even better. My only wish is he owned another one in Minneapolis, then maybe he'd be a Vikings fan!“

The dishes are delicious, and the spiciness on-target with our regular requests of 4 (pleasantly spicy) to negative 2 (not spicy at all). The servers are always friendly and helpful. Some of our favorite dishes are Golden Cashew, Rama, Massamun Curry, and Mango Ginger Duck.“

“Exactly what we needed tonight! We've been driving past their sign for years and tonight we finally went and boy it hit the spot! Our one regret was getting takeout instead of dining in because the smell of the food was tormenting us on the drive home. The gyros were perfect and the dolmathes were exactly what I was craving. “My friend and I stopped here after spending time on Orcas Island. I was here visiting from Missouri and craving seafood. They accommodated my craving crab. Great service from a cute new employee who took great care of us. As well as the staff who took care of our meal. It was so good and we were so appreciative.
