“Egghole reminds me of Eggslut. It isn't quite the same, but the idea and concept is there. I have driven by this location lots of times wanted to stop by and finally got around to doing so last weekend. There is a drive-thru, which is super convenient for those who are on-the-go. There is limited amount of parking and no indoor seating FYI. Once you enter inside, you are basically right at the cash register. The menu is pretty small, but regardless the items we ordered were delicious! I ordered the Walk of Shame, which is their #1 seller on the menu. It has soft scrambled eggs topped with caramelized onions, American cheese and sriracha mayo in a toasted brioche bun. My sister got the Friends with Benedicts, which has smoked bacon, a runny egg, and hollandaise served in a toasted brioche bun. Besides the two sandwiches, we both got drinks: Infinity & Beyond and Liquid Sunshine. Out of the two, we liked the Infinity & Beyond one more. My one complaint was the drink had a lot of ice in it, but it was the 16 oz. cups we ordered instead of the 24 oz.“

“There's many bars / taverns / pubs etc. around the general area but this has become my partner and I's favorite and most visited spot to go out for food and drinks. They have an amazing beer selection and there food is made with so much love and soul.Everything on their menu is great from my experience but also they have a unique entree on special every day and a different scratch-made soup each day of the week. My partner and I order the specials almost every time we go: the entree or the soup or both! And they never disappoint. Their clam chowder (w/ bacon) is the best I've ever had. From their regular menu I highly recommend the french dip sandwich or any burger.“

Can catch the game on TV as well. Very nice staff.Kid-friendliness: There's a small section at the bar closed off to kids, but the rest of the places to sit are available to families.“

“We had a wonderful meal last night. Not a big place (cozy feel) and we had to wait 30 minutes for a table. Our server was wonderful and when we said we were sharing everything she actually plated all our dishes separately which was so nice. We sampled the ciders and had drink specials. We had the beet salad, cup of crab bisque and mushroom burger. Everything was delicious! I would definitely recommend and we will be going back. The new wine bar next door looks fantastic and we will be trying it out next.“

“The Tap Room is a warm, welcoming pub in the heart of beautiful downtown Steilacoom. It features microbrews and an atmosphere that is conducive to small group gatherings like a book club meeting, Scrabble night with friends, potlucks with your neighbors, etc. Nona is very accommodating and occasionally opens her lovely pub for private parties. It's a small space (maximum of 50) but then "Great things come in small packages!"“

Peaks & Pints Tacoma Craft Beer Bar, Bottle Shop & Restaurant Beer Bar • $$

“Although as the Proctor District goes this place is fairly new, it looks like it's been built for 100 years. It fits right in the Proctor District. The wait staff was very attentive and courteous. The food was quick and delicious. There are plenty of drink options and even drinks to go. It's a beer and wine place, although I prefer the cider. There was plenty of seating for us at lunch on a Saturday. Parking sometimes can be a bear but that's what it is in the area. I walked a block and a half wasn't too bad. I'll definitely be going back. Great place to bring friends from out of town.“

“Cute little diner. Although it was a Tuesday they were fairly busy at lunch time. The atmosphere was nothing special. The service was OK, she was obviously busy, but had to wave her down if we needed something. The food though... that was the magic. I love a tuna melt. I have never had a tuna melt like the one I had here. It was flavored with lemon and tarragon, packed full of tuna, and smothered in cheddar cheese on sourdough. It was SO yummy! I literally couldn't stop eating it. My husband had the special which was a French dip and he thought it was great. So if you want some really good eats, check out this sweet place. It's no wonder they were busy!“
