“I don’t give 5 stars lightly, but the Haven absolutely deserves it! What a gem of a restaurant nestled in Lopez Village. Quality and flavor of food rivals most anything you can find in the big city. The service staff really works as a well-oiled machine, with non-stop — yet unobtrusive — attention to detail. Then the bar serves some of the most creative and delicious drinks imaginable. When you find yourself on Lopez, make every effort to stop by and enjoy!“

“I'm already looking forward to returning to try more menu items. The peanut pepper wrap was vegan without any modifications, and they let me leave out certain veggies on request. It was ginormous, delicious and seemed relatively healthy. Can be made gluten free if ordered as a salad, per the staff. The staff was very friendly and the outdoor seating was beautiful, with a large lawn, lots of trees, and a distant ocean view. Nice lunch spot with my dog. Highly recommend!“

“WoW! We were pleasantly surprised by the great lunches 9 of us got at this bakery. The ready-made sandwiches were outrageously delicious. Turkey tarragon salad sandwich is not your usual turkey fare. The ham and pepper jack sandos were outstanding too.

Folks loved their pizzas.

The baked desserts really ‘take the cake” though. Cyclists, we cycled there and ate lunch inside. Afterwards on the ride, we enjoyed the chocolate chip cookies as energy bars.“

“i’ve photographed a couple weddings at orcas island winery and it’s a lovely spot. the winery has a wide lawn for sipping wine and hanging out, a beautiful venue for weddings or events. it’s intimate without feeling small, stylish without trying too hard. perfect place to visit for a slow afternoon or to rent for a celebration that feels relaxed and local.

“Great happening place in quite island!!“

“The tacos are excellent. We got the carne asada, brisket, and the tofu. All were great and service was quick (<10 minutes), though it wasn't busy. Would easily come back again and again.

It's tucked away down an alley so just be aware of that if you're looking for it.“

“Authentic pizza place on an island on the opposite side of the country! Vinny is the true article with a straight to the point approach which I appreciate! The pizza was very tasty! “I spent the day in Friday Harbor while on land during a San Juan Cruises Boat Cruise out of Bellingham. I had walked around a lot and was tired and hungry. It was a hot day in July.

As soon as I came in the door, a nice lady greeted me and kindly seated me. I received water right away, which I really appreciated.

They took my order quickly and I received my food just as fast. I ordered the Sesame Chicken with Rice. It was delicious!

My wait person was kind and considerate. I left him a nice tip.

I’ll return here for lunch next time I visit Friday Harbor.“
