Both times we have been, we got the molcajete. The carne asada was so flavorful and the bacon wrapped shrimp, amazing. The drinks are also great, and not skimpy. We love this place.“

Griselda listened, apologized on their behalf for me, and helped accommodate the fact I didn’t want a replacement then and there and helped me be more than satisfied with the assistance provided. “oh my goodness, the tacos were so delicious. i considered going back the same day! i got the al pastor, carne asada, and malibu tacos. the malibu taco was unlike anything I’ve had, the tortilla was so plush! i can tell they put a lot of care into the tacos and the ingredients are super fresh. the presentation was also amazing, with the four different sauces lined up.“

God bless the cooks—I don’t know who they were, but I think it might have been Marcos’s parents? If so, he is beyond lucky to have grown up on food that good. No wonder he opened a restaurant! If I had meals like that growing up, I’d have opened one too! The drinks? So good. Affordable, strong, and just right. Definitely not watered down like some places. And the vibe? A whole vibe. It was my first time there, and I was blown away. There was a DJ in the back, the energy was great, and the place started getting packed. I just wish they had more seating because it’s definitely a popular spot! If you haven’t been to Marcos Cantina yet, you need to pull up! Get yourself some shrimp birria tacos and a margarita (if you drink). You won’t regret it! I can’t wait to go back.“

“Stopped here ahead of a comedy show and loved it. Service was courteous and quick.

Salsas were delicious and spicy, and the guacamole appetizer was a great pairing with them. Burritos had a really good flour tortilla and come as two little ones instead of one giant one. Definitely get the guava mocktail!!

My only feedback is your online menu is a bit hard to decipher - the categories don’t look like they’re clickable.

“I finally found good Mexican food that’s authentic in federal way. I found them while it was walking with Siri and I got their tamales that are Rajas with queso OMG They were so incredibly good. I give up buying tamales quite a while ago because I couldn’t find any good ones. They have great ones and they Agua is awesome. I can’t wait to go back for a torta ahogada!! I haven’t had one since I was in GDL!! Check them out they close a little early. She said 7 PM. They are so good.!!“
