“We Love Ruby Brink! Burger night—say no more…! The beef dip sandwich on the lunch menu is another favorite. We love eating here for so many reasons though. This isn’t a “high staff turnover” type restaurant where you’ll be greeted by stressed out workers plastered with fake smiles fighting over tables like you might be used you. This is a grown-up establishment with grown-up food and grown-up and experienced, competent and empowered staff and I appreciate how this dynamic expressed itself in terms of guest experience. When I say that the food is grown-up I mean that it is carefully selected and prepared from scratch and this means it does not taste like what other restaurants are doing, which often is buying bags of frozen soup and sauces from the chef supply store to keep costs down and to keep everything tasting exactly the same, every time. You will taste different things here and that might surprise you. Ready yourself for that and enjoy!”

She went so far beyond that - she was immediately responsive in the affirmative, scheduled a time to chat quickly, and graciously let us use the space without so much as a charge or minimum drink orders. “My favorite bar in Tacoma. I was looking for a place to watch a huskies game last season and no bars were showing it since the game was on the Peacock app. The manager let me cast my phone to the TV and other huskies fans started rolling in to watch not long after. Love this place.”

“Wrens Nest Baking has the best Gluten-free Foods! Love their cakes and Kolaches. On Saturdays the cinnamon rolls are awesome! If you don't get there when they open, you will be in a line. Totally worth it!”

“I absolutely adore this place! Not sure how, but the staff always remembers my kiddos order when we walk in. Bagels are fresh, cream cheese is delicious and staff is always professional. My only complaint is that they insist on using fresh blueberries so there’s about a 4-6 week period of time each year they make blueberry bagels and you better get there early if you want some 🤣. On the bright side, I’m not eating a blueberry bagel every day which is probably for the best. Love you guys, thanks for bringing good bagels to Gig Harbor!”

“I have never had pizza to go and went there tonight. The second I walked in Patrick, Danni and Giuseppe were so warm, welcoming and quite the comedians! They suggested a glass of wine while I waited for my pizza so I went and had a glass of wine. The bartender was just as amazing as them! “I'm from Texas and have never found a good doughnut place in Washington. There is a difference. I went to Lone Star this am and didn't know the owners were from Texas. They made Texas doughnuts. They were soft and pillowey and just perfect. I would have known they were Texans had I looked and saw they had kolaches, I am anxious to try those too! The service was amazing the lady at the counter was friendly and helpful. I'd love if they had a chocolate doughnut with non peril sprinkles. I'd be there more than I will already be now! For sure try this place.”

“I decided to go for a road trip on the way from Seattle to Olympic national park, and made this my food stop. The person in the restaurant helped me get my order right away and was helpful. They gave me such big portions. I got the double meat option. The meat was pretty tender and the spices were a nice touch for the spicy pork - not too spicy. The rice was well cooked, not dried up and not too moist. The banchan that came with it was very nice to add together with the meats. The kimchi was fresh, and had just the right amount of spice. The noodles were great as well. I definitely suggest you stop by here for Korean food. It is up there as one of my favorite Korean restaurants that I've ever had, even though it was just to go. And the bulgogi was so good. Give this place a shot!”

“Kimball Coffeehouse ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ On 5/16/24, I visited Kimball Coffeehouse in Gig Harbor, Washington. This coffeehouse has a great history, which I’ve included a link to in the comments. Kimball Coffeehouse has live music on the weekends. The evening I arrived, they were setting up for Open Mic Night. They roast their own coffee beans. They have an extensive menu that includes Breakfasts, Smoothies, Sandwiches, Flatbread Pizzas, Salads, Soups, Snacks, and Desserts. I ordered a Spring coffee drink called Bees Knees, which is a Lavender & Honey Latte. The flavor combination was a bit too subtle for me, but it was good. Next time, I will try something else. The woman sitting next to me ordered a BLT, which looked excellent! One of the things I really like about Kimball Coffeehouse is they seem to have a lot of regulars. Coffee shops like that are hard to find.  I look forward to visiting Kimball Coffeehouse the next time I’m in town.… Highly Recommended!!!”
