“Ive had the honor of putting on two large corporate retreat/events (120+ people) at Doe Bay. Both the staff and ownership bent over backwards to see that we had everything we needed to pull off a successful event. My thanks go out to River, Joe and their crew!”
“Delish! Grab a flight or two and pair with a cheese plate...take a bottle or case to go. Ask for Rachel 🥂”
“I came in for a sweet treat later in the afternoon. They had a good array of options which I appreciated. Both my items were delicious and had a cool flavor profile. Everyone was friendly when I was there. I'd like to come back and hang out longer, and get a drink.”

“Surprise treat in Eastsound. Two Filipina cooks are making delicious fresh Asian food in the bottom floor of the Oddfelows lodge. Take your food outside and enjoy a beautiful view of the water!l. It’s only open for lunch on Wednesday and Thursday so plan accordingly.”

“Both my husband and I agree that this might be the best breakfast we have ever had. Definitely the best breakfast sandwich we have ever had. Loved the witches brew cider and the scones were out of this world. The lemon blueberry one was so moist and cakey and amazing - not the dry hard ones you normally get a breakfast spots. And the Olga rising sandwich with the jam was like heaven in a sandwich. We did ask for extra jam which was a great call on our second time there. I would come back to Orcas just for this sandwich alone.”
“We always get the most delicious, innovative, unique pastries from Seabird! It is truly a highlight of our week to be able to see what treats are offered and pick out our favorites.”

“We ate at Ursa Minor for the third time last night. This lovely place never disappoints — from the ambience to the service to the uniquely innovative and delicious local dishes. Every. Single. Bite. Just so satisfying. We love the intimacy of the room and the service is perfect. There were four of us and we shared several items. The pacing was ideal. We had the BarnOwl bread with fermented yeast butter, cold fried chicken, cod fritters, black cod, roasted squash, duck confit, and gnocchi. It was a perfect evening. Ended with the panna cotta.”

“I love the coffee here! You can't get the same taste of the island! We love the male barista with the long dreads....forgot his name but he is the nicest employee there! So friendly and personable! Super passionate about his job and people!”

“If I could give this place 10 stars I would. Nothing but delicious items here, we grabbed the Ham & Cheese Biscuit and also the cinnamon rolls! So fresh. The French butter & the salami came home with us as well. My daughter loved the little butter bookmark. Customer service was 10/10. Cannot wait to come back & visit.”

“Pro Life Tip: when you see a line coming out the front door of a business - GET IN LINE! I was in Eastshore (from Nebraska) to purchase some coffee roasters from a local seller. I had some time to kill before my ferry back to the mainland left, so was walking around the cool downtown of Eastshore. My attention was drawn to a line of humanity spilling out the front door of one business and out onto the sidewalk. A quick Google told me it was a bakery and so I did the most sensible thing and JOINED THE LINE. When I got inside I was delighted to see Kouign Amann at the front of the pastry case. I had only recently learned of this demanding, difficult to make pastry and it was ALL I WANTED. A short wait later one was in my bag/Crumb Catcher! Here it is a week and a half later and i’m STILL THINKING ABOUT IT and writing this review. It was a-MAY-zing and I have little doubt that ANYTHING you choose will be just as memorable. These guys could probably FRANCHISE their knowledge & processes in places like Aspen, Park City, Jackson Hole, etc. - but then again, maybe not. Maybe you need the passion of two classically trained pastry chefs, in their own little wonderful corner of the world (Orcas Island, WA). In any event, if you find yourself on the island, you MUST make Brown Bear Bakery a stop. You will NOT regret it. How ANYONE could give this place ANYTHING less than 5 FULL STARS boggles the imagination.”

“Glad to find a quality food truck on the island. My burrito was packed full of delicious ingredients and the shell was lightly crisped to perfection. Came with side fixins and tasty sauce. Excellent value, friendly staff, and clean operation.”
“First time ordering from Just Heavenly Fudge and i received my order in only 3 days! Waiting to share this assortment box at our family birthday party in a week- not sure i can wait that long to try some but sure we will be all fighting for a bite. It was packaged carefully and supporting this business and the USPS is a win-win. Best regards Jackie Lake Forest, CA”

“We felt compelled to leave a good review for the Setsunai team.
We first came here in Dec 2020. It was wonderful experience that we still have sweet memories about the food dedication, clean food, atmosphere and service there.
We only came back after 5 full years and wanted to stop by and only realized they have recently relocated to a new address.
Quick check on recent Google reviews and got a bit skeptical. We went in anyway to try. The food was at the same exceptional quality we remembered and the team did not disappoint!
I personally have been to many famous ramen places, in Seattle, SF, NYC, Tokyo, Osaka, HK, SG etc this is absolutely one of my favorites. You can tell the team make the noodles, broth, pickled vegetables and everything in house. They use the cleanest ingredients (no addictive or garbage). We tried the Shoyu Pork and Black sesame salmon. I would agree it’s not a conventional ramen place you envision. But I recalled I watched a food series where a popular ramen store in Japan added tomatoes into their ramen and got critics. At the end of the day, good food and passion stand above everything.
Though I must say I missed the little wooden hut it once located. Now it’s a mix of old Style American diner and ramen. I understand the team wanted to revive a historic landmark on the island and I respected it.
It’s worth every penny and the long trip here again in 5 years!
Thanks!”

“Our family was thrilled with the food, service and lovely atmosphere. The menu is well appointed with selections. We enjoyed the octopus and wagyu meatballs for appys. Mains were a variety of pizza, pork shank (sublime!) and a pasta. The tiramisu finished the meal and should not be passed up. The wine list is well curated, we enjoyed a bottle of Bea from 2016. Phillip and Erin (the owners) were onsite and are deeply committed to providing orcas residents and visitors with a special dining spot. The adjacent shop on site has some great delicacies and baked goods too. We will be back!”

“Such an awesome little brewery!! A total locals place with delicious beer and food (the smoked salmon and cheese are insanelyyy good)! Cali was the Beertender and she was so sweet, knowledgeable and fun to talk too!!
There’s a room on the side that’s super private and great if you have a few dogs with you, tons of outdoor seating as well. Definitely will be coming back next time we are on Orcas :)”

“I'm already looking forward to returning to try more menu items. The peanut pepper wrap was vegan without any modifications, and they let me leave out certain veggies on request. It was ginormous, delicious and seemed relatively healthy. Can be made gluten free if ordered as a salad, per the staff. The staff was very friendly and the outdoor seating was beautiful, with a large lawn, lots of trees, and a distant ocean view. Nice lunch spot with my dog. Highly recommend!”
