We tried their lemongrass tofu banh mi, vegetarian ham banh mi, and veggie steamed bun. All of it was disappointing. The bread tasted stale and steamed and had no crunch/crispness left. The tofu seemed to be missing the lemongrass entirely and the vegetarian ham was gross. The pickled vegetables were far too sweet and lacked anything spicy. The steamed bun clearly had been frozen for a long time, had a terrible crumbly texture and a disgusting sweet taste that couldn't be identified
Everything about this overlooked little deli is awesome. The food is delicious, the prices are great, and the owners are beyond friendly. It's a must-visit Olympia restaurant. I highly recommend the lemongrass pork and BBQ pork sandwich. They're both so delicious! There are also vegan options. This place has been around for as long as I’ve been in Olympia. I love them so much. Curry Tofu Bahn Mi is my favorite and their prices have stayed affordable throughout the pandemic. Always friendly and welcoming and they always play the funkiest music.
