“WOW! Just WOW! Unfortunately, the pandemic closed most buffets down, apparently permanently. Fortunately, Pasco’s Red Lion has risen from the ashes. They brought in a new chef specifically to ramp up their cuisine, and HOLY COW did they nail it. They raised the bar to the point their Thanksgiving 2022 holiday buffet topped every buffet we’ve found in our road trips all over the lower 48 states. We’ve never before seen such a consistently superior array of veggies, meats, desserts, salads, fruit, and sides featuring off-the-chart flavors, textures, freshness, variety, and tummy-rubbing pleasure. Diners from health nuts to trough feeders — both apply to me — can satisfy any appetite in awe. Your next opportunity for this fabulous, special holiday treat is Easter Sunday, April 9, 2023. They told me reservations will be available somewhere around mid-March*. Don’t miss this opportunity. They will accommodate, pamper, and please you and your tastebuds whether there are two or two dozen people at your table. * Unfortunately, their website doesn’t even mention their holiday buffets, their phone system is among the worst I’ve ever encountered, and it took me hours to paste this review. On the rare occasions that anyone answers any of their phone numbers, they’re unfamiliar with the buffet and/or give incorrect phone numbers (e.g., the Columbia Basin College Security Police phone number) for information about it. This must cost the hotel and the restaurant a tremendous amount of business. Some employee needs to bring his kid in there and get their act together. One exception has been Sandra, who, when I can reach her, gets answers for me. In the meantime, go to their Seasons Restaurant website to find out more about their smaller daily buffets at 11 AM (not 11:30). Each weekday offers a specific cuisine including at least two very good main entrees plus many sides priced from the basics right up to prime rib, as you choose. I’d catch those daily buffets more often if their desserts weren’t so fantastic or if I had more will power. I have absolutely no connection with the Red Lion. I simply love to eat outstanding food — the more the better — and their holiday buffets top my list. It’s too bad they’re so secretive about it. They should be shouting it from the rooftops.”

“We stopped by after a night out of Christmas light sightseeing with our 5 year old grandson and 6 year old nephew, one hour prior to closing time, which we all know can be the worst time . Not only was the food delicious, but the customer service was top notch!! Tim was phenomenal along with the rest of the crew including the cook!! They were all friendly, attentive, respectful & they all wished us a wonderful evening as we left. These People definitely need recognition for being exceptional!! And let’s not forget the food trucks—because nothing pairs better with a pint than tacos, BBQ, or whatever culinary delight happens to be parked out front. And then there’s the ambiance. The tacos are presented very well, packaged well for to-go - same with the ceviche & quesadillas. Everything’s fresh and delicious, his tostadas are insane, as well as the flavors in his ceviche. The owner is busy, but very kind and manages to greet or say goodbye to every customer & the employees are always friendly. The food looks just like it does in the pictures - I was afraid this effect would diminish with takeout, but, Largoo’s takes the extra minute to package everything well.”

The pan dulce is on the same level with the best I've had in California while travelling. They also have tres leche cakes available for parties or you can order different cakes in advance. Rocco’s Pizza has become one of my favorite places when I am in the mood for something better than your average slice. The quality is clear from the first bite. The crust has that perfect balance of crisp and chew, the toppings taste fresh. It does cost a little more than other pizza spots in town, but the difference in taste and quality makes it worth it.

I have noticed that the pizza tastes even better when you dine in. Fresh out of the oven with the right atmosphere around you, it really brings out what makes Rocco’s stand apart. If you want a spot where pizza is treated like real food instead of fast food, this is it.”

I really enjoy their bahn mi, and I like the vermicelli noodles they put on it, I haven't had it that way before. The fillings are fresh and the bread is perfect. The milk teas and boba teas have also been consistently good, but occasionally a bit too sweet for me. The friend I was with did not enjoy their Pho, especially at the price point it is. Said it wasn't as flavorful as they expected. This place tends to be a bit expensive for what it offers- especially compared to other Vietnamese restaurants I've been to that are better tasting.”

(Just like home in the south) and the portions are HUGE! I had the fried steak, which was breaded and cooked perfectly! The country gravy was spot on and smothered well!! The biscuits were so moist and soft.. the butter and HOMEMADE JAM was out of this world… you easily could taste the freshness and naturalness of it. We also ordered the cinnamon roll French toast… the icing, the toast… omg… simple incredible! Cannot say it enough how amazing everything was! Everything tasted handmade and fresh… definitely worth the drive from Kennewick. Definitely our favorite place for breakfast now! So glad we had so much leftovers… cause I’m going to salivate and enjoy a round two! Can’t wait to come back for breakfast… and definitely want to try lunch/dinner.
