What great fun reading the reviews for the wonderful Pane d’Amore bakery in Port Townsend. Imagine fresh, chewy crust, perfectly baked; makes you feel on top of the world, strolling down the street, tearing pieces, hand to mouth, a grin across your face like an upside-down rainbow. Our hotel was nearby so we walked by this every time we went to the main drag of Port Townsend. I stopped in one afternoon. I think they're open till 3 almost every day. It's a small sales area. And right now they only allow one person in at a time. Since there was someone in there, I had to wait a bit. Once I was inside, I reused their window display and picked out the walnut raisin cinnamon roll. It was after lunch so not sure if they had less selection. But after devouring...read full review
Amazingly friendly service. Not the full selection that uptown has but a good selection for a quick lunch.Only thing that I can say "negatively" is that sometimes the focaccia has WAY TO MUCH flour on the bottom, making it rather unpleasant to eat. I much more prefer the corn meal. But always a great experience and wonderful staff.
