“My favorite Lao/Thai restaurant. They’re so generous with the side of fresh vegetables and portions too. Food is packed with flavor and the spice I’ve been craving. The people there are so friendly and I was also a fan of their restaurant Blazing Bowl in Redmond so it’s no surprise that their food is delicious. Good place to go if you actually want spicy food or just authentic Lao cuisine in general. Their papaya salad, phad see ew, Nam khao are good if you’re not sure what to get. I’ll be back to try their noodle soups. The restaurant is very cozy and they’re very fast with pick up as well. Be sure to check them out!“

“Great hot pot! Great service and great food. I loved everything about the experience. The flavor of the broth was very good and the meat was very good quality. They have amazing promos and merch. I loved that they gave me a band for my hair that was very nice of them.“

“I recently tried Qiao Lin and went with the Golden Cow Platter along with a few other meat options. One important tip — don’t underestimate how much meat you’re getting! The portions are definitely generous, so I’d recommend ordering a little at first before piling on extras, or you might end up with more than you can finish.
The quality of the meat was solid — fresh and flavorful — and the dipping sauces complemented everything well. There are other snack/appetizers too near the sauce bar that you must try!
Overall, had a fun experience and would come back.“

“Last time I ordered a super value single meal at Haidilao Seattle, it was just right! I chose the spicy hot pot with clear oil, which was spicy enough but not too irritating, and served with Angus beef, which was cooked in 8 seconds. The meat was tender and juicy, super satisfying! The portion was just right, and it wouldn't be wasted if I ate it alone, and I felt so happy after eating it~😋“

“Although hot pot is known for their meats, Chengdu Memory is incredibly accommodating for vegans. All the soups have a meat base, including the mushroom, BUT you can request it with a water base instead. Additionally, waiters will double check and ask you if you have any dietary restrictions ALONG with the menu having a dietary restriction option! I’d recommend Chengdu because of how helpful the staff are and the abundance of tofu and veggie options. You can also eat with your Omni friends since they can give you split broths! “3 stars on weekend experience: Could be much much more noisy ; service slower due to many guest, it got a bit more painful to wait since no mobile signals inside; The price was more expensive; meat quality is a bit worse than week days.
4.5 stars on week day experience(lunch) - minus 0.5 star for no mobile signals and the front desk rejected giving their wifi password.“

“This place was absolutely delicious! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with friendly, attentive service that really set the tone for a great night. Even without a reservation, the staff went out of their way to get us seated quickly, which we really appreciated. The food? Even better than we expected! Most dishes we tried were full of flavor and clearly made with care—we ended up sampling quite a bit of the menu because everything looked so good, and honestly, nothing disappointed. It was one of those meals where you keep taking bites long after you’re full just because it’s that good. A special shout-out to the pineapple beer, which was a total surprise hit and is now a new favorite! It was the perfect balance of refreshing and unique—definitely something we’ll be coming back for. Overall, this spot made for such a fun and satisfying date night. We’re already planning our next visit (with a reservation this time!) and can’t wait to try even more. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for great food, a warm atmosphere, and genuinely fantastic service!“

“Edit: in 2025 they changed the way they marinate the fresh beef and used way too much baking soda for marinating, now it tastes awful. It is such a pity that they changed their traditional recipe just because some dumb customer complained about it. Now the beef is very tender but lost the beef flavor.
Original review from 2023:
This is the most authentic ChongQing hotpot I had in the west coast. The unapologetically spicy soup base really bring my memory back to ChongQing. The only difference is that you won’t get diarrhea because unlike the authentic ChongQing hotpot, they didn’t reuse the soup base😂
I took my friends from ChongQing to try this place and they agreed that it is as good as the hotpot places in ChongQing, one actually said it is even better.“

“The hotpot I eat most often with friends is Lao Pier. The first time I ate flying pancakes was at Lao Pier. Now that I think about it, it still tastes delicious.“

“I had a great experience here for hot pot! The prices are really reasonable, and the food was delicious. The service was okay, but it was a bit crowded since we went just before Christmas, so I understand. Overall, it was a fantastic meal, and I’ll definitely be back!“

“Ate 🔥 food here on a 🔥 day! This place was great! We ordered the beef noodle soup, miso hot pot, and custard buns - all of which came with a pickled cucumber appetizer. It was delicious! The person working was also super friendly and nice. Bonus points for really competitive prices! We'll definitely be back!“

“This feels like a hidden gem? The food and service were good. We had complimentary hot tea, hard to enjoy on a warm day but welcomed. I ordered the garlic eggplant, water boiled fish, and one of the lamb dish that had onions. Everything came out so delicious and as I expected from previous sichuanese restaurant experiences. The food is served family style on a large plate with one serving spoon. It can be difficult to eat the food with chopsticks as it gets oily real quick but they provide a spoon upon request. I would love to come back as often as possible if I were closer. It's also pretty affordable for the amount of food received.“

“Very good food , hoping that the waiting time at dinner is less because when we try to eat last night the waiting time is 2hrs ,so we left and come back next day at after lunch like 1pm and the waiting is better and took us less than 30mins.“

“This place has surprisingly good value! They don't nickle and dime you. Free sauce bar, free drinks, free ice cream, free fruit slushie when you get seated. You will pay $40 plus tax and tip, and that's it
This is our new hot pot place!“

“Love that place, foe someone who love all kind of noddles, this is the place. Variety of noddles types and flavors, vegetables, mushrooms, meats and more. Best tendon and lobster balls and my favorite broth is beef bone broth. Served hot and you choose your level of spicy, and there also a nice bar for making you sauces and chili oil mix.“
