“Sushi Today is amazing. I used Grubhub to order from them, which was a mistake. Long story short, I never got my food. One of the team members called me to see if I got my food which I said no and they were so kind and gracious, they told me exactly what to do with GrubHub so that I could get my order.

I had my order within 10/15 minutes of that phone call. There was a sweet apology note which was completely unneeded. And most importantly their food was so good so delicious I will be back and I will be ordering directly from their restaurant.“

“A nondescript pub on the outside with outstanding food and service on the inside. I went for the seafood special of black cod, which came plated as though i was at a restaraunt with white linens. And the taste... MMmmm! Hadn't eaten all day, so followed that with fish and chips. The thinly breaded very generous fish portions were cooked perfectly. After stirring the coleslaw to get the sauce up from the bottom, the flavors meet the high bar the rest of the dishes had set. Great IPAs on tap and a very good porter, too. But the night i was there the rotating sour tasted more like a cider. Bonus: A seat at the bar may treat you to a view of the kitchen in action!“

“This is one of my favorite places to satisfy my sweet tooth. They are a family-owned shop where you might have been served by the parents or the kids. They struggled to survive during the pandemic and seem to be thriving again

I can only speak to the quality of the sorbet, of which there are always 2 or e and are wonderful. You may be amazed there is no dairy ingredients. The frozen yogurt looks great and my family loves it. The topings are fresh and everything is clean, very clean. There are 2 registers, so you rarely have to wait long. There is a great mix of people from all areas and walks of life. Did I mention it's very clean and staff are friendly?“

“I've eaten here about 6 times and everything I've tried has been delicious. Usually I get soup - their Kao Pon is so tasty. The balance between the spiciness and the coconut milk and other flavors is amazing. Other highlights are the Pho and I usually share the Beef Sticks as an appetizer. The sauce that comes with them is so unique and spicy; they should bottle it! Comes with sticky rice. The staff are friendly and always create a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. “Been going here for years — today, 10/17/25, the ladies serving were the sweetest. Towards the end of my meal, I brought something to one of the ladies attention after paying — It was minor, so I didn't want to make a big deal about it. All restaurants have their days. After letting my daughter finish, we went to wash our hands and came out to the servers wanting to take care of us for our meal. It was so minor, compared to other experiences in food establishments, but they were very kind about it. We will be back soon!

It seems like a tall order. But it isn't. You just have to ask. And the answer is Mekenie's! Opened in 2018 by Monna Lisa Perez, the restaurant is run by her daughter Jonnarae greeting you in the front of the house and son, ChaRly in kitchen making up your tasty fair. Located in the Cascade neighborhood of Renton, Mekenie is housed in the Cascade Mall. Although unseemingly quiet, it quickly gets packed on a Saturday afternoon for lunch, and sometimes on Sunday. The restaurant is also available for private bookings. On a technical note, their food and hospitality has aspects from the Pampangan region of the Philippines, known for its rich culinary heritage. This tradition was on display in this homestyle decor with homestyle tastes that any diner will recognize, and where Filipino Americans will find comfort. All are tasty. As an appetizer, I had the fresh, hand rolled, deep-fried pork lumpia - which came out piping hot out the fryer (awesome). I also had a traditional pork Sinigan with just the right amounts of tamarind, lemon, and tomato - making a nice clear consume broth. And just a little bit of Philippine style fish-sauce for taste. One note, no Coke products here. It must be Pepsi - Definitely a Filipino thing.Philippine brand snacks and drinks are also available to round out the experience. Stop by. “Menchie's Frozen yogurt is a great treat. I like that it has no preservatives and no additives. It has a great variety of flavors. I'm so glad I found a good frozen yogurt place. I also love the friendly staff.“

“Our favorite pho restaurant in the area. There are so many pho places, but if you like pho, try this one out and have some of their melt in your mouth brisket :) our other favorite is the grilled chicken and spring roll salad bowl. Some of the best spring rolls, very fresh and flavorful. The portion size is great and plenty of food options if you are not into noodles.

The owner is super friendly. On hot days, he would bring us free iced lemon tea. We bring our kids here and they always accommodate us very well.

There are some very funny puns and jokes on the walls that give me giggles every time. Seems random but good entertainment.“
