“Finally was able to try Homer. Been meaning to ever since it was introduced to the neighborhood. We arrived at 4:50 on a Tuesday Night. No line but the restaurant quickly filled up within 20 minutes. It was SO loud. We had to shout at each other from across the table and couldn't have a decent conversation. The service was prompt and friendly. We ordered the Pita and top 3 spreads, tahini sauce, Roasted Chicken, Whole Petrole Sole, Anchovies with Harissa Butter and Sourdough, Grilled Medjool Dates, Grilled Asparagus, Burnt Cabbage and Crispy Basmati Rice Cake. Out of the top 3 spreads the Labneh was our least favorite; a little too sour. We ordered so much food but still ordered another round of Pita bc the other spreads were THAT good. Special shout-out to the Pistachio and Whipped Garlic spreads. Reminds me of one of my favorite Mediterranean restaurants in New York. The real star of the show was the Burnt Cabbage. It was SOOO good. Perfectly charred on the edges and sweet and tender leaves. All the flavors balanced so well together. I could drink the sauce. Don't pass it up. The chili fruit sauce on the roasted chicken was a little too pasty and thick. It sat on a bed of soggy pita. Other than the crisp chicken skin everything just felt thick and dry. Especially coming from all the thick spreads we had for apps. The dates were delicious and could almost pass as a meat dish with how flavorful it was but just a tad on the salty side from the fish sauce. The fish was perfectly cooked and flavorful. I would pass on the Basmati Rice Cake. It wasn't as crispy as intended and a little chewy with no flavor. We would also pass on the Anchovies and sourdough. It was super salty and couldn't taste the Harissa butter. I definitely would come back and order the top 3 spreads, the DELICIOUS cabbage and try some of the other protein dishes. Thank you Homer! Will be back!“

“Scrumptious food! Fresh ingredients, well prepared without too much oil. They were super busy when I arrived, and my food was still prepared quickly. Everything is Halal, so you know that the animals were treated humanely. There are also vegan options. Everything was divine, I was happily surprised to find a new twist on some of my favorites. Also, the place is really clean.“

“Today, I had my long time favorite, the purple falafel wrap, at the Ballard farmers market after almost two years and it was just as yummy as I remember it… they make the best falafels in the greater seattle area… crispy outside, moist and cooked inside… and that lovely purple slaw 😋. I’m glad they’ve moved to this new location! One more reason to visit Ballard now 😀“

“Nahil the owner was kind, helped us choose great dishes, and really made us feel welcomed. There’s not a seating area, but you can take it to the park nearby. Fresh food, great fries, and tasty baklava. Sometimes it’s not just the food, but the human behind the counter working towards their dream. Support local.“

“I want to extend a huge thank you to the Gyro Time team for creating an amazing dinner that our guests thoroughly enjoyed! They catered my fiancé's birthday party for 20 people, and the service was exceptional. They guided me in determining the right amount of food for our group, which was incredibly helpful. We are vegan and our friends are not. It’s so nice to have a large selection of items that everyone can enjoy. As always, the food was absolutely delicious, and everyone at the party raved about it! Highly recommend Gyro Time for any event!“

“Seriously one of the best Mediterranean restaurants I've been to across the world. It doesn't get better than the amazing flavors and great cooking they do there. The plates with kababs are probably my favorite, the chicken is juicy and flavorful, the Lamb is perfect, and they are served with great rice and a nice salad. Make sure to add the hot sauce (it's not very hot but super tasty) This is not a sit-down place, although there is counter you can sit at.“

“In our experience, Seattle eateries have consistently delivered exceptional meals, but Miss Cafe and their Turkish breakfast exceeded all expectations. Generously portioned for two, the spread featured an array of fresh, delectable dishes that showcased the chef's skill. Standouts included the cheese pastry and a rich, tomato, cheesy egg stew. However, the true pièce de résistance was the heavenly honey and cream, perfectly paired with crusty bread - a flavor combination that bordered on sublime. Leaving some for my boyfriend was nothing less than an act of pure love, but we'll certainly return again and again during our short stay in the city.“

“I can't believe I have lived down the street for almost a year before trying this place!
It's literally the best.
The falafel was crisp and light, the veggies were all fresh and tasty, but the flavorful and plentiful sauce was the star of the sandwich for me.
I also couldn't resist the pistachio baklava, which is also fresh and light and somehow both crispy and melty.
I'll certainly become a regular here. (And I'll be able to afford to be a regular here too somehow. )
Vegetarian options: They have the standard Mediterranean takeout menu with pictures of the items available. I feel that if you are a vegetarian you likely already understand this cuisine and generally what will be good to order.“

“The food and service are always excellent. The falafel gyro is my favorite.
Vegetarian options: Most plates and sandwiches have falafel and egg plant options.
Kid-friendliness: It is a pseudo office environment with room for people to gather on a variety of seats.
Wheelchair accessibility: The venue is wheelchair accessible.“

“I had heard that Eltana makes good bagels. Now that I have tried them for myself, I must respectfully disagree. "Good" is a word used to describe, for example, a bagel that you might enjoy having for breakfast. At a stretch, perhaps even a breakfast you would fondly anticipate while thinking about it the night before. These are not "good" bagels. These are dangerous bagels. These are profound bagels. These are fugitive toric avatars from some fragrant and crispy celestial realm. I should have ordered more. - C“

“The food is delicious . Everything is made with pride . It’s all fresh and made in house . Since it’s fresh and made to order , you will have to wait . It is worth it . I highly recommend the Greek french fries , amazing. Also I would not skip the chai tea or baklava, both so good. Friendly family business that appreciates its customers. The only thing I did not like was not their fault . Customers constantly talking loudly on cell phone , incredibly annoying ringers going off from multiple phones, some very loud voices . It’s a tiny place with close tables so hear everything. It has lovely lighting from beautiful lamps and is nicely decorated. I just wish some of the customers more considerate .“

“The owner is incredibly personable and is very involved with his restaurant. His staff is very attentive and have excellent customer service skills. I chose a faster made food, the Chicken Kabob (recommended by the owner) and there was nothing that made it feel rushed or made cheap even though the price was amazing for the amount of food that came about 10 mins after ordering. BEST DARN KABOB I'VE EVER HAD IN SEATTLE. I'm sad I didn't try this place out when I lived in the neighborhood 10 yrs ago. I'd be a lot fatter by now...“

“I wish I had discovered this Shawarma spot long ago! This is easily one of the best Shawarmas I’ve had. I tried both the Arabic Shawarma and the regular chicken Shawarma, and they were both great—but the Arabic Shawarma is incredibly close to the authentic taste. The Saj bread takes it to another level!
Maybe the Arabic Shawarma without onions would make it absolutely perfect, but overall, it’s amazing. I visit all the way from Everett just for this, and it’s totally worth it. A must-try spot, and I’ll definitely be recommending it to friends!“

“The lady that took our order suggested we try the falafel, stating "we have the best falafel". Now I'll preface my review with the fact that I am not a Falafel Expert, but I have had lots of falafels from all sorts of places around Seattle . I even made my own from scratch once, which were terrible.
When she brought out our plates, I was excited to try out this supposedly superior falafel, if not just a little skeptical. As my fork pierced the skin of the first of two plump nuggets on my platter, I was greeted by what I can only describe as the most vibrant and lifeful greens I have ever experienced in my entire life. Tendrils of steam wafted lazily from the falafel, almost whispering tantalizing promises to my olfactory senses.
Biting into the falafel felt almost a stage of its own, neither crunchy nor squishy, but yielding to my teeth a texture both firm, yet acquiscent. But the flavor, dear readers, the flavor was indescribable. Saying that it was the best falafel I've ever had seems like an injustice. My mouth felt as though I had been upper-cut by a heavyweight boxer, but instead of my mouth being filled with pain and regret, it was filled with the most delicious falafel, imbuing my tongue with magics most flavorous and delightful.
I am glad that my original doubt was completely shattered by the Hummus Cafe's execution of the perfect falafel. I am slightly sad, though, as I feel I have a new standard of falafel which I feel no one else can possibly achieve.“

“Al Batcha is an absolute gem! From the moment we walked in, the warm ambiance and friendly staff made us feel so welcomed. The Mediterranean flavors were vibrant and authentic—every dish, everything was fresh and done with care. Portions are generous, and the presentation is beautiful. My favorite by far is the chicken gyro and the Greek fries! The chefs here are amazing. They are always playing with new menu items so just about everything is customizable. The service was great and fast, the server offered great recommendations. Al Batcha is now our go-to spot for Mediterranean cuisine. Highly recommend! Also, GREAT prices!“
