Great breakfast place while strolling around Downtown Seattle
Finally, the best the city has to offer.
Shocked that this place doesn't have closer to a review in the high fours. This place is AMAZING and has some of the best and most authentic bagels I can find in Seattle - staff are kind and quick, bagels are really fresh, and prices are pretty reasonable. I'm craving a bagel right now from Rubinstein as I write this review - it was that good!

Rubinstein Bagels South Lake Union is located in the lobby of what looks to be an apartment complex, with no parking available on the side of the road or in the complex. The bagels are described as warm, chewy, and perfect, with specific mentions of a sea salt bagel and an everything bagel with onion cream cheese that tasted a little tangy. The coffee is seriously delicious, and there is a nice place to sit by the fire. However, the loud, seemingly A.I.-generated music on the speakers is bad enough to make customers want to run out screaming or get food to go. Service is a major issue; staff needs an attitude check, with reports of uninterested staff, a bearded man who sloppily handed over a DoorDash order with no thank you or have a good day, and an overall questionable experience. The quality has declined, with unevenly cut bagels, burning when toasting, and changed ingredients. The price is overpriced for the current quality and service, leading some to prefer walking further to Whole Foods.
