Sat in the table service area on the second floor hoping for a window view. We were just reading the menu when the host came over and moved us to a table on the water side. Lunch with a view is a great way to enjoy lunch.
We had a blast having a late lunch/early supper here while visiting from Boston. Our server Kelsie was all good vibes and great service. The beer lines are clearly kept clean, as was all dishware and the restroom. I enjoyed a lusciously delicious drink called Berry High that was so delicious that it was dangerous because I couldn’t even tell there was vodka in there! I highly recommend checking it out if you’re in the area!

The Athenian Seafood Restaurant And Bar at Pike Place Market offers great food and views. The clam chowder in a sourdough bread bowl is excellent, seasoned perfectly, rich and flavorful without being overly heavy, with fresh and delicious sourdough. The red snapper fish and chips are fried and seasoned to perfection, and the fried seafood platter has extremely generous portions. All fried items are crisp, light, and beautifully fried without tasting greasy. The halibut fish and chips and oysters on the half shell are outstanding, and the shellfish is recommended. The halibut had just come in from Alaska and did not disappoint. The atmosphere strikes a perfect balance between laid-back and lively, comfortable yet energetic. The seafood is incredibly fresh, cooked simply and perfectly. Service is attentive, friendly, and engaging. There is a happy hour in the bar 3-close daily. This is the place from Sleepless in Seattle.
