“A good friend of ours decided on this place for his birthday dinner I was all over it always looking for great authentic Mexican food this place did not disappoint we ordered nachos for the table to start and they were decent lots of guacamole we each ordered the trio of enchiladas with ground beef and seriously enjoyed them food was plentiful and a decent price service was top notch the restaurant is clean and the food is good also loved the cherry cokes with refills so so so good nice to have authentic Mexican food nearby that isn't a bowl filled with rice and some veggies like the popular chains all have we weren't disappointed and we will be back !! Thanks so much! Mucho GraciasParking: Lots of spots close to the door well placed easy to find“
“Very good service. The servers brought our drinks and kept them filled, we never had to ask for a refill. Our food came out right away and was piping hot. The servers came back to make sure everything was good. I have to say all the food was delicious but they also made the best Spanish rice I have ever tasted. Their portions are generous, enough to fill you up and have extra to take home.“
“Kid-friendliness: Tonight's I was in awe. Our server was Brian and he served my table of 15+ people for my birthday, as well as a different table with just as many people. Not only did everyone from my table receive the correct order but it was hot and delicious. I observed Brian holding a young child from the other party 's table, giving a quick moment for the adults who were eating and enjoying themselves to have a moment of peace. Brian went above and beyond and he seemed to do so with joy and pride in his work. Truly amazed by Brian, his service and the way he shows up for his community.Thank you all!“
“Best Mexican food in both counties!! For the most part they are consistent every time. I've been going here for years, my family and I all love the food! I would highly recommend this location, that outdoor seating is wonderful, and the food is delicious. I'm partial to the tacos myself as they are the most similar to the tacos that I grew up with in Cali.“
“Owned by the Rodarte family, this restaurant is a welcome addition to Bow where dining options are limited. For those into shellfish, Samish Gold Seafoods is a must stop. They're also sometimes known to carry single servings of fish packaged and ready to go. Ask about that. It's been nice to see how this BIPOC-owned business has grown. There aren't many BIPOC-owned businesses in Skagit County. Show them some support.“
“OH MY GOSH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Me and my Mom went to get some super yummy tacos and the lady at the Food Truck location was really nice and the tacos were AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!? I would 1000000000000% get some food here again.Kid-friendliness: Very kind workers “
“I have loved COA since it was by the high school. The food is absolutely TOP TIER. The quality is fabulous, and the portions are definitely enough for two meals. Service is always excellent! Definitely try the green sauce, it’s magical! My favorite order is the diabolo shrimp and steak- I do not know what is in the sauce but it makes me want to cry tears of happiness.“
“This food is AMAZING! If you know anything about anything related to the cuisine of Mexico, you will recognize that this is a star! The tamales were transcendent. The quesadilla redefines what that food should always be. I will make a special trip all the way from Seattle to come eat here again.“
“Great tacos, tamales and rice/beans here. Everything is reasonably priced and they've huge flavors! The rice and beans are a cut above your typical side dish expectations....it stands alone! The tamales are cheap and delicious. I could eat at this place 4-5 times a week. They're really busy and opened up a 2nd place so even more proof this place is dialed in!“
“I chose a wet chili Colorado burrito. The beef was perfectly cooked, sauce was flavorful and was given a hearty portion. Complimentary chips were warm and the salsa accomplished it's job...after a hard day skiing we were like cheetahs on a gazelle. Delicious.“
“Great clean place...Snacks are fresh and tasty!Busy bussiness with great hard workers....you should be patience because there is always a great line waiting to try fresh Aguas Frescas ....don't forget to ask for Cucumber and pineapple!!! Orwhite orchard(sorry orchata! with Pi-taaalla !!Kid-friendliness: Yes“
“Authentic Mexican food, I went during the day so it wasn’t as busy. The plates are big and portions are very filling. Spacious restaurant, the service was good.Kid-friendliness: Very family friendlyWheelchair accessibility: Spacious restaurant and wide doors .“
“Went here at a time when it wasn't busy. The service was prompt, food was presentable and tasted great! Had the burrito and the steak sope. The interior is clean and decorations give it the right feel for a Mexican restaurant. Will go back to try more of the dishes, especially during dinner. Today we just ordered from a one page lunch menu which is sufficient for mid day. The lunch portion was also appropriate not to feel too heavy when returning to work. ?Kid-friendliness: Looks appropriate for kids and families.Parking: Easy to find parking on the street.“
“What an amazing experience! We took a chance and entered into a very stark, very clean, music filled room not sure just what to expect when we were greeted by the young, enthusiastic and very personable owner. We felt right at home immediately. Tacos were on sale so we went for it full force. Shortly our order arrived, proudly prepared by the owner and presented beautifully accompanied by grilled onions, radishes, grilled jalapeño and, of course, the obligatory squeeze bottles of red and green salsa. My wife’s eyes lit up with the outstanding flavor of her lengua. Her all time favorite. For me, the Birria was excellent, Al Pastor was among the best I’ve had, grilled lightly but enough to evoke all the aromas of spices, pineapple and seared pork. And then . . . The Adovada! Oh man, this was a killer! Juicy, well spiced crazy rich in flavor and gone all too soon.Felicidades!“
“Came in for dinner and ordered the Birria dish with rice, beans, and flour tortilla along with the Perfect Margarita. Was given chips & salsa to snack on during the wait. Came hungry and left super stuffed! Great food & service. The server was very kind. I'll be coming back when I pass through the area in the future.“
“Had a wonderful time last night celebrating my husband's 70th Birthday! Angela made sure we were all comfortable and the waitress, Mery V. was wonderful taking care of each of our needs. She even helped with serving dessert! Thank you Mexico Cafe for making it a special occasion with family and friends!“
“Couldn’t love Catrina more! Taco Tuesday is our favorite day of the week, but any day you go will be amazing. Service is always fantastic, we love the whole team! If you like rice and beans theirs are some of my favorite! Habanero salsa is a MUST if you wanna sweat a little, and you know you do. My favorite tacos are carnitas, pollo blanco, beans and cheese, and steakon. They have a wonderful selection of ample tequila and their cocktails are huge and FIRE! Can’t wait til they get their new side open.“
“The Pollo en Mole was so good, I even dipped my Birria tacos in the sauce. This place is definitely authentic and the best Mexican restaurant in Whatcom County that I’ve been too. Seriously, it’s my new favorite. The corn tortillas and salsa are made fresh daily. It’s totally worth it.“
