Don't miss these Stanwood Mexican restaurant gems.
“Stopped in for lunch at a friend's recommendation who said this is best Mexican food in Stanwood.......but was disappointed....NO carnitas. He said 'ready in 2 hours'. Its OK... bcuz that tells me they make their carnitas from scratch so will return. Got the carne asada street taco's but steak had a lot of gristle. Beans were scratch made & rice was fluffy & tasty. Ate most of my plate which says something.“
“The crispy shell tacos are just right......they stay together while getting a good bite.Vegetarian options: Lettuce and tomato rice&beansParking: Plenty of parking all within walking distance or dive-up parking window.Kid-friendliness: Big colorful signs......“
“Update 03/2024:Last time we came here was 2 years ago. We decided to come back again and we were not disappointed at all. The staff was nice and friendly no change there. We decide to get 2 carne Asada burritos and it came up around $20 which is average price from other places we like. We watched them prepare the food and was not disappointed in the quantity of the food. We come here a lot because of the consistency. We came here on cinco de Mayo and that is our fault cause it was bussyyyy. Parking space is very limited so beware if you plan to drive here. Food is good compared to some of the other places we have been to. I can tell that they were not well prepared for a busy day. I wish they had a numbering system or something to make it easier to know when your food is ready. Definitely trying it again when we’re in Stanwood.“
“I feel like the reviews for this restaurant don't give it enough credit (Especially compared to others in the area)- Seating area was clean and well lit. Variety of options from booth style/restaurant, bar area with big screen TV's for sports, and really enjoyed the "Outside yet inside" style seating area out front. Great place to grab a bite to eat before seeing a movie!- Food was excellent overall. Very large portions (Burritos could honestly feed several people). Ingredients were very fresh, well cooked and seasoned. Fajitas I ordered were a bit on the the greasy side for me but that is a personal preference.Great salsa and guac too!- What really set Amigos apart was the fantastic service. From sit down to leaving, our waitress was friendly, got to know us, drinks were kept filled, food was served in a timely manner, and we were communicated with the entire time about where our order was, and constantly asked if we needed anything. I witnessed this not only at our table but others around us as well.Overall will definitely go back to Amigos. Fun restaurant, friendly staff, good food that is very reasonably priced and huge portions.Check them out Stanwood!Vegetarian options: Good sized vegetarian section on menu. Whole beans (no lard) available too.Dietary restrictions: Large section of vegetarian optionsParking: Lots of parking all around buildingKid-friendliness: Kid's menu available with a lot of options and kids drinks too (hot chocolate, strawberry slushies (Honestly what kid doesn't like chips and salsa)Wheelchair accessibility: Easy access. All wheelchair accessible and on one level“
“So fresh as always, I usually get the Mexican platter. You get the Lincoln log beef barito, crisp beef taco , pinto and cheese refri's , Mexican nuggets , a green salad with salntro lime dressing and chips and salsa. For less then $10 w/tax always a favorite. Will stuff anybody. So Good!“
“Great burritos, friendly service. The last burrito I had was lengua. All fresh and yummy ingredients. Great to pick up and take out to eat. I guess if you're working and have no time to take out, eating there is fine but the atmosphere in a convenience store is NOT atmosphere, it's necessity.“
“The restaurant was busy and loud on a Thursday night but we were served salsa, bean dip and chips as soon as we sat down and we ordered a few minutes later. The food (enchiladas and fajitas) was ample and mostly tasty. The side of beans accompanying the enchiladas needed seasoning. We were very pleased.“
