“What a neighborhood gem! Having spent almost my entire life in Southern California, I'm very particular about Mexican food. After 6 years here, I'm happy to say I've finally found a spot that hits the (Mexican food) spot. Not only are the ingredients always fresh, but the portions are also large. The best part--they have lengua, and it isn't dry and bland, it's tender and flavorful! Yum.“

“Malena's is my favorite taco in Seattle. The burritos are HUGE and the tacos (hard shell) are delicious. Guacamole is legit and i could eat their salsas with everything. Cannot go wrong with anything on the menu. Rolled tacos as good as Olvera street in LA. Burritos put chain stores to shame. Such good food and freshly prepared to order.“

From the family cooking to the food, everything is perfect.

I had the taco plate with Carnitas. Served with Mexican Rice and Pinto Beans this plate was enough for two people (or one hungry person). The Chips and Salsa are handmade and have a lime and salt flavor. The salsa is delicious and a tad spicy. My wife had the Pollo Quesadilla and it was super flavorful as well. The Passionfruit Agua Fresca was so good and brought the meal together nicely.

Go grab yourself a great meal at Sophie's Tacos you won't regret it!

Parking: Parking is behind the building near the bike shop.“

“We did the 4 PC chicken and small chicken strips and it was delicious. Great flavor of the potato salad and homemade tartar sauce was perfect. It was a lot of food and well worth the drive there from our house. staff was friendly. Smells wonderful inside. We'll be back again for sure.“

“I had the veggie green wet burrito recently. The food was tasty and the service friendly. I wish the veggie burrito had fajita veggies or avocado or something apart from rice, beans and cheese. The cost was the same and the meat was just excluded. The habenero salsa that I tried with the burrito and the green sauce on the burrito were both delicious.“

“I just recently started coming back to this restaurant. There was a change in menu and certain items which led me to stop eating here. Funny thing is the recent menu changes that they have made is what drew me back to this restaurant. Good food at a reasonable price! I do have favorites when it comes to this restaurant I love carne asada tacos, birria tacos, and sopas. Their sauces are delicious and the staff is friendly. If you're looking for a good meal at an affordable price this is where you'll find it. Not only that , they've added an abundance of menu items that I look forward to trying in the future.“

“You owe it to yourself to try their food. Don't be fooled by the outward appearance of a food truck in front of a rental hall. This place has the best tacos I have ever eaten. Their Quesabirria tacos are unbelievably good. My only regret is that I didn't order more.“

“After a couple visits, my rating still holds, under appreciated Indian food!!! Super tasty snacks tiffin and lunches. Samosa chaat, bhel puri, vada, idli, Bombay sandwich….maybe I should just write most of the menu here (although never had their indo-Chinese)…all very very good. Not many places in SLU you can just pop in for a quick affordable meal. Parking is easy on that side of Fairview too.“

“Food is good but if you want cheese on your nachos go somewhere else. I ordered nachos and only got a pinch of cheese. No exaggeration, it looked like someone grabbed a little tiny pinch with two fingers. The second time I went I made sure to ask for extra cheese to avoid this. And once again I was hardly given any cheese at all. Cheese is a main part of nachos so I’m confused as to why they barely give any. Lost my business over some cheese. The very first time I went there the food was amazing with zero complaints but after back to back issues with getting very little to no cheese I’ll never be back.“

“Chicken quesadilla was pretty good, but it did put me in the ER immediately after eating. Not food poisoning - allergy related - must have had some contact with peanuts, walnuts, or cashews in the truck. Solid service and food was great, for anyone with a peanut/nut allergy be sure to ask“

“I don’t expect much from fast food nowadays, so I was so happy when I got dinner here today and saw that it was pre-COVID quality. Everything was great- my husband and I both got the number four combo with curly fries. The fries were crispy, the burgers were juicy, the buns weren’t greasy, there was enough of each of the sauces on the burgers, nothing looked like it was just thrown in the bag.

The guy working the drivethrough was really patient and as someone who always forgets to look at the menu beforehand I appreciated it so much. They gave us lots of napkins, our orders were in separate bags so we didn’t have to dig through everything, and the paper straws somehow didn’t fall apart in our drinks?

Also the sign on the window said their food safety rating is Excellent, which is not something I see nowadays either! There’s also parking. Highly recommend. I think someone might have traded a soul to get this place as good as it was. 😅 Because fast food just isn’t like this anymore.
