“Delicious! Authentic Thai for sure. I got the curry with spice level one and it still had kick, which yay! Spicy equals authentic Thai to me. Can’t wait to come back and try more! The spring rolls are also some of the best I’ve ever had! Really good food! Glad they are here :)“
“I’ve been coming here for many years, and it’s consistently one of the best Thai places in the area. Friendly staff, delicious food, reasonably priced for the quality. I come at least once a week and have yet to be disappointed. Lunch specials are excellent!“
“3/31/24: After reading about the soft opening of the second location of Khao Soi, I made a beeline to Bay Street in Port Orchard to enjoy a delectable lunch. I had been sad at losing Bay Street Bistro but sad turned into glad as I dived into Massuman Curry with an iced Thai coffee. Kudos again to the owners for providing an excellent meal in a lovely relaxed setting. I was dining solo, and was perfectly comfortable reading my travel book. The soft music enhanced the warm atmosphere and the beautiful decor provided plenty of eye candy. My only regret was not ordering my curry with more stars (I’m always conservative starting out with 2). I could have easily done 4. The iced coffee could have used a tad more coconut milk for my taste, but it was delicious nonetheless. My new favorite restaurant and quite the gem!“
“Only in town for one night and just craving Thai! Please do not miss this place! My goal was a good Tom Yum because cold weather, but they have a delicious and hearty Tom Yum Pho - I'm sitting in my hotel eating the takeaway now!!! Service amazing, Ambiance super chill - Just great - wishing you much success!“
“Three of us stopped in there after work. We found the service prompt and friendly. One of my friends is pretty fussy and even he liked the food. The only reason I gave the atmosphere four stars instead of five is because if you are a larger person you may find the booths cramped; every thing else is wonderful.“
“This is our favorite restaurant in Poulsbo, or anywhere within 50 miles. The food is fresh-cooked and flavorful, and the ingredients are authentic. The menu is varied and there are "Dinner Sets" with 5 or 6 courses with 11 or 12 dishes to choose between.Nan is the cook and half owner of this restaurant. She is so talented and inspired, and also friendly. She may visit your table to say hello or chat about the food, or ask about how your day was.The prices are unbelievably and very reasonable, and the portions are generous. Try the fresh prawn rolls for a start. The peanut sauce is home made and fresh, and sooo good. This reataurant is a hidden gem!“
“The food is amazing , especially the banh mi, veg pho, fried rice and of course Thai tea/coffee. If you want Thai or Vietnamese come here instead of Khao soi. Once we tried Tamayo's we haven't been back to Khao soi. Tamayos appears to be a 1 women operation. Support this small business you won't regret it.“
“I’ve been coming here for the past 5 years and I’ve gotta say I’ve never had any issues at all. Calling in for takeout takes roughly a minute to finish ordering and I normally only wait 15 minutes at the absolute most. Despite other reviewers, when I dine in the same server who’s been there since I’ve been going is always professional and welcoming and has never shown any attitude towards me or my friends/family. I always go here to get my monthly pho fix and it’s always the same. That’s something a lot of places never do. Consistency is what I like about restaurants. Never worse. Never better but I’ve tried the popular spots in places like Seattle and Renton but they just don’t do it like this place, so I’m going to assume this is the best I can get. This might sound like someone who works there is typing this and I know I can’t prove it’s a real person but I guarantee I’m not some paid actor. This place gets a bad rap but I’ve never had any issues. Maybe that’s because I’m not some self-entitled brat. Ordering food isn’t hard. You should know you what foods you can and can’t eat before you even consider going into an unfamiliar restaurant. Google is free. Do your research before you judge something. 10/10 please don’t leave I don’t like Pho Golden haha.“
“4 stars good5 stars service4 stars atmosphereI visited earlier this year in March because my coworker raved about the food. I found the food to be good, but not anything to go crazy about. That said, the portion was huge and the takeout box was definitely at capacity. I’m taking away a point for atmosphere because they weren’t open for dine in…not sure about now. I live in Seattle and would come back if I was in the area though it doesn’t warrant it’s own trip back.Parking: Big open lot shared with gas station. I doubt you’ll have issues!“
“There's a little bit of a wait time if you come and order but more convenient to order call or online and pick up. Clean place to sit and eat. Customer service is really good. Kindly double checks on requests without hesitation. Food cooked fresh to taste! Delicious broth for pho and other plates are delicious as well. Definitely comes with a fancy display when you take it to go. Instead of a bag that's all loose, it's in a box all neat and tidy. Fair price for good food. Highly recommend.Dietary restrictions: For those who allergic to crab or shellfish they can use imitation crab just ask!“
“My husband and I tried Kachai 2 years ago when we first moved to the area. It was highly recommended but we were disappointed. The food was just so-so. Maybe we just ordered the wrong things, because I went again recently with a friend and had a very different experience. We fell back on old favorites, and we both felt it was some of the best Thai food we'd ever had. She ordered Pad Thai and I ordered Pad See Ew with Shrimp. Deliciously seasoned and very ample portions.“
“I've been coming here for about five years now, I generally only order the drunken noodle and sometimes the beef salad, both of which have always been amazing but on one night when they were slammed and it wasn't. I came by a few days later when I was in the area, was thinking that maybe they'd make me another dish but instead they remade the whole order, spring rolls and all, like $60 in food and were insistent on doing it.The only thing I can't stress enough is that they need to keep up their food portion size. Read your reviews, guys...seems like you may be driving away customers.Otherwise, I really like this restaurant and the people who own it...very pleasant, sweet even, fall all over themselves to make sure you're satisfied.Parking: Not sure why we need to expand on parking here, but yeah its a single lane of parking and others' experience may differ but I've never had an issue with finding a space. You satisfied, Yelp? Can I post this now?“
“Good place. Parking is a little bit limited, but what can you do? They seem to be very popular for takeout orders, and the parking is probably the main reason why. The food is very good and our server was very polite and did a great job.We got appetizers and they were just as amazing as the entrees.Vegetarian options: My wife eats seafood (not poultry or red meat) and loves this place.“
“My husband and I eat here about once a month. Every time we try a new dish, we like it even more than before! We usually get the Tom Kha soup and the orange chicken. Last time we tried the Larb salad with chicken, yellow curry w/ chicken and vegetable fried rice. They were all absolutely excellent and the portions are generous! The inside is very clean and the service is prompt and friendly. The chef delivers the food to the table herself and seems like she cares a great deal about customer satisfaction. So glad we found this place. We will continue to visit here as often as possible.“
