“What a great solo lunch time experience I just had here! I’ve been in before, but I moved away for a while, so it’s been about 4 years. I always thought the beer selection and food quality was good, but yesterday those things combined with the service level it just hit all the marks. I sat at the bar. The bartender was friendly, knowledgeable about the beers, engaging, and personable, but without it being the over-the-top fake act you get from some people and places. Jared was chill, and helped me find what I was feeling, by asking questions and engaging in conversation. He gave me his time without rushing me, or overdoing it. After I got the beer dialed in, I ordered the banh mi lettuce wraps. He ended up getting me a better deal than expected on those and my beer with a special they had. The wraps were delicious and completely hit the spot for taste and portion size. I spent a little longer there than planned or expected and it was a lovely way to get a little work done while I got to relax and indulge. Wish I lived on the South Hill, I would definitely hit this place up more often! With the amazing, constantly-rotating beer selection, and a good sized menu with daily and what I assume are happy hour/lunch specials, you can keep it fresh every time. Highly recommend!“

“It's rare to be able to order almost anything off the menu and have a vegan option available. This place was phenomenal for our mixed party of veg and meat eaters, we all left fat dumb and happy. And the curry mac was delicious, better than I could have expected. It is vegan, but I doubt any meat eater would be upset eating it. We are going to try to mimic it for our own dinners. So good. Also, the TLTA was bomb. Idk what was special with it but was so good. 10/10 would recommend, vegan or not.Vegetarian options: Almost all of the dishes have a vegan if not vegetarian option. The texture of the crispy chicken sandwich was excellent. Flavor wasn't as good as the TLTA, but still quite good.“
“Went with a friend of mine and it was not disappointing. Started off with the candied jalapeno poppers with a huckleberry reduction and roasted garlic stuffing. Fantastico. I had the spicy bootlegger burger with candied bacon blue cheese crumbles, grilled jalapenos, whiskey BBQ jalapeno aioli on a bruche bun. It was burning me up. ? ?. Just enough to make me want more. The French fries were also excellent with a crispy coating. Everything was top notch. Great little hole in the wall. I highly recommend it please try it out, you won't be sorry.“
“We hosted a memorial service with 48 guests at Tamarack Event House mid-January and every aspect of it was beautiful, primarily due to the sincerity and professionalism of Teresa and everyone else at Tamarack. Hosting a memorial service is never an easy thing to do with all the emotions involved but Teresa, her sister Tina, and the staff helped immensely. Teresa answered emails promptly leading up to the event, gave suggestions on food options, and tested our slideshow well before the service to ensure all was working properly. On the day every aspect was perfect allowing us the family to focus on the service itself. Being from out of town and not knowing much about Spokane, we are thankful we found Tamarack Event House. Our memorial service was perfect and I can only assume the professionalism would be carried through to all events. We highly recommend Tamarack Event House for your event.“

“Went there for some dinner since I live in the neighborhood and always walk by the place...food was so so,I ended up having the French dip which was nice and big but lacked flavor as did the dipping juice...I would say the service could have been better as in friendlier, the waitress seemed rather snooty.....but overall the place was nice and open . Probably won't go back since I don't drink and it is more of a bar then sit and just eat kind of a place...“
