“We have loved this building for now four generations of our family coming here. The current proprietor makes delicious food and pours her heart and skills into every scratch recipe. Today, we were well taken care of as we celebrated my mom’s 75th birthday in their outdoor dining space. Everyone loved their food, enjoyed friendly & attentive service, and enjoyed many “memory lane” conversations about coming to The Bair (and Mom working part-time here back in the day). “My Tio Franky treated me on 5/29/24 after visiting my Mommy's grave which is Mountain View cemetery. The restaurant is located at the Center Street Plaza.

The restaurant is not very big. Interior is clean. Tv screen available with Korean drama show running. The service is quick and efficient.

We both ordered the short ribs which comes with rice, salad and japchae $18.00. We also ordered a side of japchae noodles $9.00 plus bulgogi $3.00 and a side of kimchi $2.00. I got hot tea. My Tio got coke. The food is flavorful and delicious!! The portions are generous. I definitely plan on returning when back in this area.”

“The Red Hot is one of Tacoma’s best beer spots. The food is good, great selection of beers, and the service is top notch. Particularly our favorite bartender Elliott, who is such a mensch. He knows the kind of beer I like and is always Johnny on the spot with a great recommendation. My wife thinks he’s super cute, I cannot say, but I’ll take her word for it. He does always smell good, I’ll give him that. Except once when he smelled rather strongly of sauerkraut but that was the result of a rather unfortunate mishap with a 5 gallon bucket of sauerkraut which was entirely outside of his control. He can also spit mad rhymes but only after a few strong IPA’s. Anyway, go check out The Red Hot and if you get Elliott as a server, drop a phat beat on him and watch what he can do.”
