Dave's Hot Chicken is a popular spot for spicy fried chicken, especially for those who enjoy bold flavors. The restaurant offers a straightforward concept executed very well, standing out in the fast-casual scene. The menu includes items like the slider and bites, with the slider being larger than most chicken sandwiches—tender, thick, and crunchy. The Hot spice provides a lasting kick without overpowering the flavor, making it a favorite for spice lovers. The bites are also tasty but differ slightly due to their smaller size. The food is quite heavy and fried to achieve a thick crunch, so those looking for a lighter meal might find it a bit much. The atmosphere is spacious with a tall ceiling, lively pop music, and urban decor, creating an energetic vibe. The Tacoma location is praised for its cleanliness and helpful staff, making it a welcoming place to enjoy flavorful fried chicken. Overall, Dave's Hot Chicken is highly recommended for a satisfying and spicy chicken experience.
