“We always have such a great experience here!
The staff is very kind and attentive, and are patient with my kids.
The servings here are very generous! Usually we are taking part of it home for the next day.
My son is a little more particular and they have always made his chicken katsu exactly how he likes it, and every time I've gotten sushi it was a hit!
This is also one of our favorite places for holidays because they are so generous celebrating birthdays!“

“I had a steak and my husband had the crawfish boil. The prawns were huge. The salad was crispy and fresh. The steak was perfect. The server was attentive. We will definitely be going back. Thank you!“

“We went for Oyster Happy Hour. The fresh oysters were good, accompaniments so so, (standard coctail sauce and an odd granita type of champagne mignonette that had little flavor). The fried oysters were tasty and properly cooked but once again accompanied by uninspired sauces for dipping. I haven’t been to this restaurant in many years, I was hoping to be inspired to return for lunch or dinner in the future. It’s still a spectacular setting, a beautiful space, with professional and attentive service and a reputation for well prepared, tasty food. The 20% mandatory service charge applied to the bill is a bit off putting, and the reason for my 4 star overall review, but I will most likely return.“

“Waitress needs to be more welcoming...doesn't smile at all. Best large scallops around. We travel about 40 miles each week to eat at the Lakewood Ivar's. Would like to see portions either a bit larger or the prices a bit lower. Or some discount for regular customers would be nice.“

“The staff was too nice and treated my wife and I(who were in Washington for our honeymoon) with immense respect and even remembered us from the 2 times we'd visited prior. We highly recommend the sweet potato fries with the chipotle aioli dipping sauce as a starter! The big a** burger... phenomenal! as well as the Maui burger. We didn't meet the person behind the bar, but my compliments go to the amazing mixologist who gifted us the experience of delectable drinks! “I have never had pizza to go and went there tonight. The second I walked in Patrick, Danni and Giuseppe were so warm, welcoming and quite the comedians! They suggested a glass of wine while I waited for my pizza so I went and had a glass of wine. The bartender was just as amazing as them! “Tacoma Szechuan is a standard favourite of ours, but it's getting more and more expensive (or so it feels!). We ordered delivery and got the beef chow fun, dried cooked string beans, tofu with hot garlic sauce, and one steamed rice. It was 70$ (with delivery and tip)!! The green beans were AMAZING and the tofu and beef were good, but it was too expensive for us to consider eating there twice in a trip.“

However, I was seated next to a booth with 3 VERY loud people who kept getting louder until it sounded like they were shouting (it was friendly talk, not arguing). I had already gotten my food, moving would have been difficult, so I just ate, trying to ignore the noise. I had arrived between “normal” eating times intending to have a relaxing meal listening to a book/music, but it was not to be. I WILL go back (like I said the food is great & service is superb) but will ask not to be seated next to anyone if possible.“

“Loved the food! On our first trip, we had one of the suchi options, Chulichi shrimp, the ceviche trio, and mango margaritas. All of them were excellent, subtly spiced, and simply delicious. Yes, the music was a bit loud but it was manageable and did not prevent discussion at the table. Our waitress Clarita and bus-person David provided excellent recommendations and great service. We will definitely go back and bring more friends this time!“
