German Restaurants near Vancouver, WA

“The menu options were great and we enjoyed our food. The greeter and our waitress were especially friendly and helpful. However, the young lady who showed us to our table looked out of place. Everyone other employee was dressed in attire you would see at Oktoberfest as you would expect in a German restaurant. She was in a very casual oversized sloppy looking sweatshirt or sweater. And although I use a walker, she led my husband quickly to our table, chatted with him while waiting for me to catch up. Then she walked away without even waiting for me to actually get to the table or speaking to me at all - VERY RUDE!! Our waitress, server, greeter and the food more than made up for the bad taste she left in my mouth, thank goodness.“

“Had a craving for some wurst, and ended up getting three of them here. Everything was marvelously cooked with subtle and enjoyable flavors overall. The staff was super friendly, even though we showed up 50 minutes before closing. By the time we got there, sat down, ate, and paid, we had only been there 30 minutes. Fantastic service overall!

I found the side of warm potato salad to be enjoyable, but it felt like it was missing something overall, still good, but worth skipping over. The Saurkraut was excellent, and served under the wurst. Next time I'll be getting the currywurst!

My partner had the fish, it was cooked to perfection and seasoned excellently.

The only part that wasn't great for me overall is that I'm hard of hearing, and the bar, even as late as we had gotten there was loud, which is understandable, but I struggled to hear my partner over the noise while we were trying to talk. Go during the daytime and spend some time outside for a quieter experience maybe?

Once more, looking forward to a future return trip so we could try out some of the other options available.“

“Watched the Germany World Cup match here, and even though the result didn’t go our way, the atmosphere was incredible from start to finish. It felt like being surrounded by passionate supporters, and everyone made it a great place to watch the game. The food was excellent, the beers were ice cold, and the service was great. I’ll definitely be back to catch Bayern Munich matches next season. Prost has earned a new regular!“

“We love Urban German for its authentic cooking (wish pork knuckle was an option year round!) and German beers. Our whole family loves it! The youngest is especially giddy when she gets an old mustard mug for her root beer, too!“

“So glad we found this restaurant, It is very small and parking is dicey but well worth it. The food is delicious and the wait staff is welcoming and friendly. The owner and chef came out to see how we enjoyed our meal. You must try to carmal custard. Will come again!“
