“My husband & I stopped here on a wim, usually they are not open when we are out & about. We ended up spending 4 hours here having great conversations with MA & Heather.Such a great atmosphere & welcoming environment. We had some of Ma's cookie I'd give them a 10/10! And then we decided to stay & have dinner . My husband had the special creamed chicken over busicuts which was fantastic & I had a pizza! Both were phenomenal! We felt like we were at a friend's house just hanging out! Definitely worth a trip up in the boonies!”
“Perfect little spot for an awesome breakfast. Don’t miss out on their homemade baked goods, they’re worth a to go box if you’re too full from the main meal!”
“Stopped in on a Wednesday evening and although the bartender did not look up to acknowledge us when we walked in she did take our order pretty quickly. Burgers arrived and were amazing! Toasted buns - yum! Unfortunately the bartender never checked in with us regarding our food or when our beers were empty (we were the only ones eating - bar was not busy). Still giving 4 stars though as we really liked the food and the atmosphere. Also, one of the few places open on a Wednesday night.”
“Wonderful, delicious Food served by very friendly staff. The owners meet and greet the customers. The cook/owner always says hi out of the restaurant. A definite plus to our community. Also the menu has Mexican options.”
“The food was very very good. An awesome true Wisconsin fish fry with great meal and very reasonable pricing. Drinks were also very good and friendly atmosphere, indoor and outdoor dining options, also kid friendly.”
“When my husband and I come to the cabin it’s always a treat to come get coffee at Roots. The service is always friendly and helpful. Coffee is amazing. Love my latte every time. We enjoy the cozy atmosphere and small town feel!”
“It definitely was the local place to be on Fridays. My husband and I had an amazing meal! He had the fish fry, and I had the Chicken Alfredo. They are not shy about their portions by far. The young lady who was our server was fabulous. She checked on us consistently even though it was busy and updated us on when our food was going to arrive. Plus, she's so sweet and friendly. It was a real pleasure having her as our server 10/10 guest experience!”
“The best coffee/food spot I've ever been to. So many different options and every single item I've had was a 10/10. The staff is so kind and patient. I went in there with a few friends and we took awhile to figure out what we wanted and ordered a lot and unlike some places they gave us no attitude and were just happy to help. I also love their coffee bean section and that they'll grind it for you. Also, I really appreciate that they're open until 4 since I'm a very lazy girl and love getting up lateDietary restrictions: They offer gluten free options and dairy free optionsParking: Tons of functional nearby parking”
“Went here to escape the rain while camping near by, went the first night, and enjoyed it so much we had some friends come join us for a second night. Bartenders were very helpful and had a wide selection. Prices are more than fair there. Pretty nice atmosphere, everyone was pretty relaxed.”
“Three of us enjoyed dinner last evening. Two loved their steaks & one delicious scallops. Wonderful greens in our salads w/ blue cheese dressing which were delicious as well. We can't enough positive remarks about the 5 O'Clock Club. Wait staff were top notch!!! Highly recommend!! Only one thing we'd suggest a change for, tables are too close together. Getting in & out was very difficult & disturbing to other diners. Keep up the great work, we appreciated it!!”
“Was a vendor at recent Craft Fair and had the appetizers. The mini tacos, pretzel bites, garlic cheese curds, and regular cheese curds were delicious. The server was courteous and fast. Great host for the Craft Fair.”
“Amazing service and welcoming atmosphere. I was passing through town and stopped here for a drink and bite too eat. Harmony was the bartender working and she was great with service and had an amazing personality. I will definitely be stopping here each time I pass through town!”
“In a busy day it gets crowded in the small store but overall they tend to get people through the line relatively quickly they have suberb high quality meats it is expensive really good place for a taste feed for your inner tiger visit them on a day when there not busy”
“Drove past the sign for decades and never checked this place out until today.Homemade pasta, sauce, and sausage in the middle of a farm field, are you kidding me?Been around for 67 years and 4 generations. There is a reason why!We will be back soon.”
“Been going here since I was a kid, always had decent service from the high schoolers that usually seem to work there. Only down fall is that the entry way is small and leaves little room for customer waiting lines, can get cramped in a hurry.”
“Food was superb. I convinced my family to try it and it was a hit. We ordered pad Thai, fried rice and drunken noodles. Pad Thai was a little spicy, perfect for us and the noodles were delicious. Parking can be tricky. You can order ahead of time and just pick it up.”
“A nice friendly bar with a private room available for parties. I had a interesting conversation with Brian, I guess when you're the owner you get to work rather than hunt deer.”
“Went there for lunch today and the food was great. Eye appealing, tasted great and came to our table hot. The bartender Rae was a lot of fun. I look at cleanliness of a restaurant and Rae's gets 5 stars! If you haven't been here try them you won't be disappointed !! I'll be back.”
“This is a quiet cafe that offers breakfast and lunch. The food was good as was the service. The atmosphere is bright and fun with 248 lunch boxes on display. I personally liked the Curious George lunch boxes. The bathroom was small but clean. Parking is right out front.”
“Our group of six were from Southern WI and Northern MN. We had full orders of Salads, Brat Burgers (with spicy mustard from Chetek, WI), corned beef & cabbage (almost St Patrick's Day). Everyone was completly satisfied with these taste meals and have left overs for later:) We would highly recommend Louie's on the Lake as a destination stop!!!!”
“We had the nicest server, the renovated place looks great, and we really enjoyed the food! Highly recommend the cheese and raisin Ravioli - don't knock it until you try it! Probably the nicest restaurant in Cumberland, and a great find in the middle of northern Wisconsin!”
“I loved this place, they were super attentive and courteous. They work fast when it comes to mobile order. Always had a smile in their faces and were very polite.”
“I've always wanted to stop here and we finally did. It was really nice. We got a table with a view of the lake. The pizza and burger were tasty and the service was excellent. We also eyed some folks with the most amazing looking bloody Marys that had sliders and other goodies on them. We'll have to try that next time.”
““ What happens at winery - stays at the winery “ is the best quote for this spot! If you are looking for a traditional winery / wine tasting - go to California?!? Or else where …This is a unique spot.. the wine is unique and the owner ( male( as others have described)) even more unique. Pat the owner is what makes clover meadows a good time- but you have to enjoy his genius and wit. Embrace his playful comments / banter and you’ll have a blast. Or be a heartless Karen and say this place sucks. But I’d encourage people to enjoy this space and the wine for what it is and enjoy the owners fun banter because he is creating a business offering so much good! We ended up leaving with one of the owners drawings - and a few bottles. The tasting was a blast! But you cling on to the experience… of what clover meadows is!”
“Stopped here on our way back from our camper on Thanksgiving and it was a blast. Free Thanksgiving dinner (not saying it happens all the time) the bartender was super nice. Drinks were cheap and bar was clean.”
“Clean store. Very friendly staff. I stopped her for my lunch break and the gals behind the counter were very cheery and got my order quickly.Vegetarian options: Not a veggitarian. But I tried the Impossible Whopper and it's now my favorite sandwich. Probably because I love mushrooms but hey.Wheelchair accessibility: Good wheelchair access with double doors.?”
“me and my son stopped last night after hunting. The atmosphere was amazing with outstanding service. the food was unbelievable and reasonable. Everyone was very friendly chatted about farming as the owners are farmers. we will be stopping during rifle season.”
