“Great place to have a beer and burger. Plenty of tv's to watch sports and a decent amount of games and pinball machines too. Bonus points because they have wonton wrapped mozzarella sticks!”
“We used Big Ed's to cater for our wedding, and the experience was great. Food was amazing, and James was great to work with. Got nothing but complements! Food was delivered on time, and was hot. Easy recommendation.”
“Classic Wisconsin dive bar. Friendly service and good bar food. It is small and serves mostly local folks but the atmosphere is fun and inviting if you are not an introvert.”
“Awesome pizza! Found it at a Ma & Pa type grocery store in Northern MN. Got the double sausage double pepperoni variation. Perfect amount of meat and cheese. That sauce though? Amazing! Good spice to it but not overly spicy. 5 stars. Ate 2. Going to have to drive a ways to get more.”
“Visited on 4th of July, and was opened with 2 very friendly gals working. Sandwiches made just right, and overall a very pleasant experience. Tucked in off the beaten path, had no idea it was there (just west of the stop signs).”
“It's "good" for a McDonald's, what can really be said about a BP/McDonald's off the free way? There's one of those every 8 miles or so.”
“Went on a Friday night for fish fry and it was pretty good. Nothing over the top, or anything that will blow you away, but its better than some of these other local family restaurants thats for sure. They have a decent selection on their menu, and the wait for anything take out is pretty quick if you choose to grab something on the go. I have stopped in about 5 times since I learned about the place and i haven't been disappointed with any of the food i ordered. My hats off to the owner as he's normally the only one cooking, at least he has been the only one cooking every time iv stopped in, usually Friday's for fish fry. He definitely has a passion for cooking and that’s something you don't see often with restaurant chefs anymore. He will personally come to your table to greet himself and to ask how your food is to your liking! Thats the passion im talking about, and he seems to really care about his customers. Iv seem so many restaurants come and go over the past 20 years in that location because they just dont make enough to keep in running. If anyone deserves a successful business to stay open it would be the current owner as he’s a great example of how a business should operate and interact in a smaller town. Every customer is so crucial to his success and the effort he puts in for each customer to ensure satisfaction is definitely off the charts.”
“Stopped by this restaurant to try it and I wasn't disappointed. The prices are very reasonable and the food was good. The portions are a good size also. The inside is a bit crowded, but that's a small price to pay for good food at a reasonable price.”
“We have been to Messina several times in the past few years, and always are greeted pleasantly, and enjoy the charming hand-painted murals on the walls. It is the wonderful food and service bringing us back every time. There's quaint Italian music, or a mix of Jazz and Sinatra piped into the lounge. A small but nice wine offering is a plus.Whether we have steak, pasta or seafood, we are always impressed. A favorite is their marsala. Salads are crisp, fresh pepper is applied tableside. Entrees are beautifully presented, and breads are wonderful, served warm with butter. My favorite is the desserts - I never leave without having tiramisu, and Messina's is wonderful... Even on Saturday nights, without a reservation in a snowstorm, or in July at the height of the dinner hour on a weekend this place shines - in every way. Food, Service, and Atmosphere. There is an exceptional wine list which we occasionally enjoy, too. I love this place and have always hesitated putting out such a wonderful review, because I don't want to find the place so busy as to not be able to give me the great service that we have always enjoyed! (Did I mention the coffee? Also rich and wonderful.) Enjoy it. Messina is fantastic!”
“Small Town bakery that nails it "old school"! Nothing off a good connoisseur magazine here, just darn good baked goods that don't put you in the poor house! It's a friendly family operation that puts out really good bakery while treating there customers well. It has become a favorite of ours. The only issue you may find is what products they have on the day your going. We usually just wing it, but I'm sure you can always order ahead....like that apple pie waiting on my counter for Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow!Wheelchair accessibility: Not really accessible. I am sure they would bring items out to you as it is a family run business.”
“We come here 2-3 times a year we are from Chicago burbs…. Great place great food I never had anything I didn’t love we have the Philly cheesesteak omelette and waffle… great service and everyone cares there!!! We love this place!”
“We popped in for lunch and had an excellent experience. First we debated if in fact the entrance off the parking lot was really the entrance but once we figured that out we made our way into the dining room. It was a weekday so it was not too busy. The staff was super friendly and very welcoming. We started with their fantastic focaccia bread. Wow - light and airy with a nice crust and just the right amount of salt. I ordered the hot ham sandwich. The ham was juicy, the bun super fresh and the sauce and cheese perfect. The Cole slaw was also very tasty with a nice zing. The others in the party split the goat cheese and beet sandwich - unusual but delicious. They also tried the spaetzle "Mac & Cheese" which got another thumbs up. Finally we finished with their chocolate pudding. We all agree that it had the texture of a mousse. Very good! We plan to return the next time we are in Port!”
“Parking: On street parking and lot parking both free ..no over night though..usually carry out ...call before for added time saving...it's popular so keep that in mind...these folks are good people trying to give you great food and service.”
“The outside renovation is beautiful for large groups and includes a stage for bands. Indoors is pleasantly updated and features your typical Wisconsin bar decor and games. Good mix of a townie bar and a place I'd bring visitors. Great space for large groups and a great location. Staff has also been helpful, friendly, and accommodating in my experience.”
“Best pizza of Port Washington enough said. Small dinning room but large menu and options. Very affordable and nice sized portions. Will have to return to try out the other one entrees.”
“The pretzel combo appetizer was so delicious and amazing!! They served it and I freaked out!! It made me so happy!! Huge fluffy delicious pretzel the size of an extra large pizza filled w giant Mac n cheese bites and chicken nuggets and cheese curds! Each tastier than the other. You had me at giant pretzel!!!!! And of course cheese for dipping. Ordered the fish combo for dinner - omg the scallops were magical. The fried fish lightly breaded and oh so tasty. Would definitely drive 2 1/2 plus hours to come back. Seriously, the pretzel alone are what dreams are made of”
“We had the pleasant experience of having Koffie Trader cater heavy appetizers at our recent gathering. WOW! The bourbon meatballs, gorgonzola stuffed mushrooms, water chestnuts wrapped in beacon, spinach cheese spanakopita and assorted desserts were a huge hit. Great presentation and everything was delicious!!!!”
“Great food and service! Excellent fish fry!! We always enjoy it here. We have been to seven hills pub many times and always enjoy when we come back. They also have fun karaoke on Friday nights.”
“A real honest to goodness Midwestern American bakery! If you know what I'm talking about you're probably already heading there; if not, imagine the warmest fuzziest feeling of contentment while you breathe in the perfectly baked bread. Don't miss it!”
“We sat and ate at the bar the guy was great help entertain our children, had a great conversation with everyone in our group you really could tell that he enjoyed his job and wanted to be there.Parking: Right before the train tracks set back off the road a little bit hard to see till you are right no top of it.Kid-friendliness: Pizza of all kinds and ice cream for dessert.”
“Great place to get something sweet! Cute setup with outdoor seating. Had ice cream and mini Donuts! So amazing! The freshly made Donuts melt in your mouth! Good place to stop on a date night.”
“Tello's ( pronounced Tay-o's)is now open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, daily at 8 a.m. until 9 p.m., and is my favorite breakfast place. From their omelettes to their pancakes to their breakfast skillets, their food is always excellent, and the service is matched. Their willingness to adapt to the needs of diners is remarkable as well. With busy friends who are retired, breakfast is our favorite social meal of the day, for we then have the rest of the day for other activities. Tello's involvement in community activities is notable. He supports Little League, and other activities, and was one of three major businesses who contributed to the Breakwater's painting during the pandemic, when they hung on by curb service and catering. I have heard that he throws pizza parties for kids. Be prepared whenever you dine here to take a "doggie" box home, which my dogs never get. The decor was designed and installed by a national artist, to reflect the Mexican countryside, and it is intriguing. This is a casual family place with excellent Mexican, Greek, and American food, and a children's menu is available, served with crayons. Tello's is handicapped accessible from the parking lot, and there is outdoor dining, weather permitting. A private dining room is available, and there is dining also in the bar. I am an almost weekly customer, and have never had a negative experience there. I recommend it.”
“Stopped by for a belated Valentine’s Day and so happy we did! Great value for a tasting, service is prompt and friendly. I love that they have a good selection of wines - I prefer dry reds myself, but there’s other varietals with multiple levels of sweetness. Prices are good, am planning to return!”
“Fantastic broasted chicken and potatoes! Mary's is a quaint diner with great food, awesome owners, and great staff. I highly recommend Mary's for breakfast, lunch or dinner!”
“My fave!! Great Gem in Port...a must stop!! All the baked goods are fantastic & I enjoy the iced coffee the most. Great service & selection...everyone is sure to find something! Thanks Java Dock!!”
“The bartenders make this a fun place to hang out. They are friendly and engaging. They are happy to recommend a beer if you are feeling stuck. The food here is delicious. The poutine of the day is such a fun thing. Food is not an afterthought at this brewpub. The atmosphere is interesting. I know that they are moving to a new location soon and I’m excited to see what they do with that space.”
“Had our usual Cowboy with garlic sauce add Canadian Bacon, minus the pepperoni. D'lish ! Customer service here is really good unlike Grafton which is closer. I'll take the extra few miles to get what a pizza is supposed to be.”
“Great local bar and grill! Just happened to find it heading home to GB from the Bucks game and so happy we found this place! Super friendly bartender and great food!”
“We got the tempura cauliflower for an appetizer, which was good. I was surprised the sauce came on the side, I would have assumed it'd be tossed, but the portion size was generous and tasty. I got the hipster sandwich, which was a lot and definitely not able to be picked up. I feel like less is more with this dish. I don't think it needs as many toppings and it would still have been delicious. My husband got the Friday fish fry beer battered and smashed potatoes. The coleslaw was good and we're generally not coleslaw fans but the dill dressing made it stand out. The location is amazing, would return again.”
“Nowhere was wonderful I’ve never seen someone give so much love to birds there’s ducks there’s turkeys there’s a big boy named baby bird I think is maybe his name he wears hats one hat is a turkey trucker in hate is a turkey cowboy he’s a butterball he’s white and very friendly.
